The.analysis of the.syste.atic transitions in the.fore.te. landscape.and the.study of the.fore.t fragme.tation patte.ns allow us to de.pe. our unde.standing of the.change. in the.ve.e.ation ground cove.. The.importance.of knowing the.intricate.patte.ns of the.land usage.of the.uppe. basin of the.Amazon re.ion is wide.y re.ognize.. This zone.is one.of the.most dive.se.biological are.s in the.world, is home.to large.are.s of mature.tropical cloud fore.t and de.onstrate. high probabilitie. of stable.climatic conditions in light of global warming. The.re.e.rch quan- tiffe. syste.atic transitions through the.＂loss＂ and ＂gain＂ of the.diffe.e.t cate.orie. of landscape.during the.e.ghte.n-ye.r study pe.iod of the.e.uadorian Amazon Re.ion （e.R）, the.fore.t fragme.tation patte.ns we.e.also analyze. base. on a se. of indicators. The.e.ore. with re.pe.t to the.e.tire.y of the.landscape. the.re.ults re.iste.e. for the.ground cove.age.in fore.te. are.s during the.first pe.iod （1990-2000）, show a de.re.se.of 6.99% and an incre.se.of 0.68%; and during the.se.ond pe.iod （2000-2008）, show a de.re.se.of 3.99% and an incre.se.of 2.14%. It de.onstrate. that fore.t and agricultural are.s te.de. to re.lace.or be.re.lace. by he.bace.us ve.e.ation faste. than e.pe.te. fortuitously. Finally, the.indice. of fragme.tation signale. inte.se.change. during the.1990-2000 pe.iod with a re.uction during the.pe.iod 2000-2008. Mate.ial and Me.hods: In orde. to portray the.clinical be.avior of both dise.se., a cross-se.tional study was pe.forme. including patie.ts insure. by the.Me.ican Institute.for Social Se.urity (IMSS), the.r de.ographic data, and clinical signs and symptoms. Laboratory parame.e.s we.e.analyze.. Re.ults: One.thousand four hundre. and nine.y-five.de.gue.and 1810 chikungunya case. we.e.studie.. All patie.ts pre.e.te. fe.e., whe.e.s he.dache. myalgias, mild arthralgias, and ocular pain we.e.more.fre.ue.t in de.gue.case.. Se.e.e.incapacitating polyarthralgias, arthritis, and conjunctivitis we.e.pre.e.t only in chikungunya case.. Also, e.e.a and e.anthe.a we.e.more.fre.ue.t in patie.ts with chikungunya. Liquid le.k to tissue. and he.orrhage.we.e.more.fre.ue.t among de.gue.case.. Copolyme.-1（Cop-1） is a pe.tide.with immunomodulatory prope.tie., approve. by the.Food and Drug Administration of Unite. State. in the.tre.tme.t of multiple.scle.osis. Cop-1 has be.n shown to e.e.t ne.roprote.tive.e.fe.ts and induce.ne.roge.e.is in ce.e.ral ische.ia mode.s. Ne.e.the.e.s, the.me.hanism involve. in the.ne.roge.ic action of this compound re.ains unknown. The.choroid ple.us（CP） is a ne.work of ce.ls that constitute.the.inte.phase.be.we.n the.immune.and ce.tral ne.vous syste.s, with the.ability to me.iate.ne.roge.e.is through the.re.e.se.of cytokine. and growth factors. The.e.ore. the.CP could play a role.in Cop-1-induce. ne.roge.e.is. In orde. to de.e.mine.the.participation of the.CP in the.induction of ne.roge.e.is afte. Cop-1 immunization, we.e.aluate. the.ge.e.e.pre.sion of various growth factors（brain-de.ive. ne.rotrophic factor, insulin-like.growth factor 1, ne.rotrophin-3） and cytokine.（tumor ne.rosis factor alpha, inte.fe.on-gamma, inte.le.kin-4（IL-4）, IL-10 and IL-17）, in the.CP at 14 days afte. ische.ia. Furthe.more. we.analyze. the.corre.ation be.we.n the.e.pre.sion of the.e.ge.e. and ne.roge.e.is. Our re.ults showe. that Cop-1 was capable.of stimulating an upre.ulation in the.e.pre.sion of the.ge.e. e.coding for brain-de.ive. ne.rotrophic factor, insulin-like.growth factor 1, ne.rotrophin-3 and IL-10 in the.CP, which corre.ate. with an incre.se.in ne.roge.e.is in the.subve.tricular and subgranular zone. As we.l, we.obse.ve. a downre.ulation of IL-17 ge.e.e.pre.sion. This study de.onstrate. the.e.fe.t of Cop-1 on the.e.pre.sion of growth factors and IL-10 in the.CP, in the.same.way, pre.e.ts a possible.me.hanism involve. in the.ne.roge.ic e.fe.t of Cop-1.
