The present work aims to investigate transverse Oldroyd-B nanofluid flow on a stretched panel with consideration of internal heat generation. Buongiorno model is utilized to study influence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. A numerical procedure known as Keller box algorithm is used to solve the governed physical *** velocity, temperature and concentration of nanoparticles are expressed. Also, concerned physical measures such as heat and mass transfer are investigated numerically. The simulations performed revealed that fluid parameters play a significant role in heat transfer under Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects. Local heat flux is elevated while local mass flux is suppressed with enhancing Brownian motion parameter. Streamlines pattern exhibits that flow is more inclined in the presence of Deborah number effects. To the best of our knowledge, transverse flow of an Oldroyd-B type fluid which incorporates the thermal relaxation effects has never been reported before in the presence of Brownian motion and internal heating phenomenon. Therefore we intend to discuss these features in detail. The obtained results are a novel contribution, which can be benchmark for further relevant academic research related to polymer industry.

Small peptide-based compounds have attracted an enormous interest as carrier molecules to selectively de- liver radionuclides to target tissues, sparing critical normal organs. When looking for "matched pairs" of radionuclides, suitable for radiolabeling of peptides for diagnosis and therapy, technetium and rhenium represent an almost ideal constellation. The important role of technetium-99m and re-186/188 is based on the decay characteristics, suitable for tumor diagnosis and therapy. Tc-99m and re-188 are readily available by either a 99Mo/99mTc or the 188W/188re ra- dionuclide generator system. Furthermore, technetium and rhenium are chemically related and share structural as well as reactive similarities, which prompt an attractive "matched-pair" situation. This article shows an overview of 99mTc- and 186/188re-radiolabeled peptides that have been tested for their potential use as imaging and therapeutic agents in oncological diseases.

Malignant testicular germ cell tumors （TGCT） are the most frequent cancers in Caucasian males （20-40 years） with an 70% increasing incidence the last 20 years, probably due to combined action of （epi）genetic and （micro）environmental factors. It is expected that TGCT have carcinoma in situ （CIS） as their common precursor, originating from an embryonic germ cell blocked in its maturation process. The overall cure rate of TGCT is more than 90%, however, men surviving TGCT can present long-term side effects of systemic cancer treatment. In contrast, men diagnosed and treated for CIS only continue to live without these long-term side effects. Therefore, early detection of CIS has great health benefits, which will require an informative screening method. This review described the etiology and early pathogenesis of TGCT, as well as the possibilities of early detection and future potential of screening men at risk for TGCT. For screening, a well-defined risk profile based on both genetic and environmental risk factors is needed. Since 2009, several genome wide association studies （GWAS） have been published, reporting on single-nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） with significant associations in or near the genes KITLG, SPrY4, BAK1, DMrT1, TerT, ATF71P, HPGDS, MAD1L1, rFWD3, TeX14, and PPMIe, likely to be related to TGCT development. Prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal environmental factors also influence the onset of CIS. A noninvasive early detection method for CIS would be highly beneficial in a clinical setting, for which specific mirNA detection in semen seems to be very promising. Further research is needed to develop a well-defined TGCT risk profile, based on gene-environment interactions, combined with noninvasive detection method for CIS.

Both radiation-induced excess vacancies and solute-interstitials may enhance solute diffusion. The radiation-enhanced solute diffusion promotes the kinetic process of equilibrium segregation. This effect is especially considerable in the low temperature range. As a complement to modelling of radiation-induced non-equilibrium segregation, the radiation-created vacancy and solute-interstitial-accelerated equilibrium grain boundary solute segregation were theoretically treated. The models were applied to phosphorus segregation in α-Fe subjected to neutron irradiation.

The codling moth, Cydia pomonella, is one of the most important pests of pome fruits in the world, yet the molecular genetics and the physiology of this insect remain poorly understood. A combined assembly of 8？341 expressed sequence tags was generated from roche 454 GS-FLX sequencing of eight tissue-specific cDNA libraries. Putative chemosensory proteins （12） and odorant binding proteins （OBPs）（18） were annotated, which included three putative general OBP （GOBP）, one more than typically reported for other Lepidoptera. To further characterize CpomGOBPs, we cloned cDNA copies of their transcripts and determined their expression patterns in various tissues. Cloning and sequencing of the 698？nt transcript for CpomGOBP1 resulted in the prediction of a 163 amino acid coding region, and subsequent rT-PCr indicated that the transcripts were mainly expressed in antennae and mouthparts. The 1？289 nt （160 amino acid） CpomGOBP2 and the novel 702 nt （169 amino acid） CpomGOBP3 transcripts are mainly expressed in antennae, mouthparts, and female abdomen tips. These results indicate that next generation sequencing is useful for the identification of novel transcripts of interest, and that codling moth expresses a transcript encoding for a new member of the GOBP subfamily.

The night sky is the venue of an ancient acoustic battle between echolocating bats and their insect prey. Many tiger moths （Lepidoptera： Arctiidae） answer the attack calls of bats with a barrage of high frequency clicks. Some moth species use these clicks for acoustic aposematism and mimicry, and others for sonar jamming, however, most of the work on these defensive functions has been done on individual moth species. We here analyze the diversity of structure in tiger moth sounds liom 26 spe- cies collected at three locations in North and South America. A principal components analysis of the anti-bat tiger moth sounds reveals that they vary markedly along three axes：（1） frequency, （2） duty cycle （sound production per unit time） and frequency modulation, and （3） modulation cycle （clicks produced during flexion and relaxation of the sound producing tymbal） structure. Tiger moth species appear to cluster into two distinct groups： one with low duty cycle and few clicks per modulation cycle that supports an acoustic aposematism function, and a second with high duty cycle and many clicks per modulation cycle that is con- sistent with a sonar jamming function. This is the first evidence from a community-level analysis to support multiple functions for tiger moth sounds. We also provide evidence supporting an evolutionary history for the development of these strategies. Further- more, cross-correlation and spectrogram correlation measurements failed to support a ＂phantom echo＂ mechanism underlying sonar jamming, and instead point towards echo interference [Current Zoology 56 （3）： 358-369, 2010].

Wear Behavior of PTFe–Hydroxyapatite Composite Fabricated by Hot-Press Sintering Process

In the present work, a new biocompatible composite was fabricated by hot-press sinter-bonding of polytet- rafluoroethylene （PTFe）-hydroxyapatite composite. Furthermore, the wear properties of this composite were studied by computer-controlled pin-on-disk type tribometer in reporting volume loss per distance. The investigation was performed in three different fractions of hydroxyapatite （10, 20 and 30 wt%）. In order to improve the bonding between hydroxyapatite and PTFe, and thus to increase the wear properties of the composite, the effect of adding silane-coupling agent was investigated. Furthermore, to simulate the environment of human body, some of the wear tests were carried out in the ringer＇s solution. It was found that the wear resistance is improved at high load. Moreover, an optimum fraction of hydroxyapatite （20 wt%） was found in which the best wear resistance is achieved, especially at dry sliding condition. At last, the roles of the factors such as wear load, ringer＇s solution, and silane-coupling agent are described with respect to their influences on the Lancaster wear coefficient.

Friction-stir-welded overaged 7020-T6 alloy joint: an investigation on the effect of rotational speed on the microstructure and mechanical properties

Commercial A7020-T6 plates in the overaged state were subjected to friction stir welding with four different tool rotational speeds of 500, 710, 1000, and 1400 r/min and a single traverse feed rate of 40 mm/min. The resultant changes in the welding heat input, microstructure, and the mechanical properties of the joints were investigated. The changes were related to the processes of growth, dissolution, and re-formation of precipitates. The precipitate evolution was examined by differential scanning calorimetry, and the microstructural analysis was conducted using optical, scanning, and transmission electron microscopes. The results showed that the grain size in the stirred zone(SZ) decreased substantially compared with the base metal, but increased with tool rotational speed because of the rise in temperature. We found that the width of the heat-affected zone increased with tool rotational speed. The hardness and the tensile strength in the SZ increased with increasing heat input compared with the base metal in the overaged condition. This recovery in mechanical properties of the joints can be attributed to the dissolution and re-formation of precipitates in the SZ and the thermomechanically affected zone. This process is referred to as an "auto-aging treatment."

The hardness of the Ni-Cr alloy which is electrodeposited in chloride solution, is optimized by design of experiment method（central composite design）. Various parameters were evaluated in order to find significant factors in this process. Frequency, duty cycle, current density and temperature were selected as efective factors. Analyses of variance（ANOVA） were performed on the results of the designed experiments. The best model which can predict the hardness of the Ni-Cr alloy electrodeposits was found whereas the frequency and quadratic behaviour of the current density were the most significant model terms. Serious interaction of the current density with frequency and duty cycle also were found in this model. Finally the optimum conditions of the factors for obtaining the maximum hardness of the Ni-Cr alloy were found. Ni-Cr alloy with hardness 828 HV（electrodeposited with frequency 63 Hz, current density 1800 A/m2, duty cycle 75% and temperature 31℃ bath） were assessed as the optimum deposit. The deposit under the optimum condition was investigated by scanning electron microscopy（SeM）, eDX analysis, polarization method and microhardness.
