Mechanism of action of Balanophora involucrata polyphenolic compounds in the treatment of myocardial injury based on network pharmacology and molecular docking techniques

Mpox is a zoonotic infectious disease caused by the mpox virus(MPXV).Historically,the majority of mpox cases have been documented in Central ***,since May 2022,there has been a notable rise in reported cases from regions beyond ***,over 110 countries spanning Europe,North America,South America,Asia,and other territories have reported mpox *** report details a case involving a patient who identifies as a man who has sex with men(MSM)and is concurrently infected with MPXV,human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1),Pneumocystis jiroveci,as well as extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis(XDR-TB).This patient had also received a vaccination for smallpox in the ***,we provide photographic documentation charting the progression of dermatological manifestations associated with *** case highlights the significance of sexual intercourse as a crucial mode of transmission for *** rapid and widespread dissemination of the MPXV across various regions,especially among MSM communities,underscores the importance of enhancing preventive education efforts targeted at high-risk populations.

针对金融创新与实体经济指数间的复杂联动性,首先采用GJR-GARCH模型检验尾部风险的ARCH效应、捕捉极端波动冲击的杠杆效应,以及刻画指数序列尾部风险随着时间变化的动态规律;其次利用SJC-copula函数拟合边缘分布函数并描述上尾风险和下尾风险;最后采用CoVaR方法估计风险溢出的大小和方向。研究结果表明,各指数的收益率时间序列均存在ARCH效应和条件异方差特征,金融创新与实体经济间存在动态联动效应以及正向的相关关系,且下尾相关系数大于上尾相关系数,风险的溢出效应具有非对称性。这些结果可以为监管部门的政策制定和企业的风险防范提供一定的科学依据。

Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder characterized by gradual deterioration of cognitive functions,for which an effective treatment is currently *** transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS),a well-established noninvasive brain stimulation method,is utilized in clinical settings to address various neuropsychiatric conditions,such as depression,neuropathic pain,and poststroke *** evidence suggests that rTMs may enhance cognitive abilities in individuals with ***,its optimal therapeutic protocols and precise mechanisms are currently unknown,impeding its clinical *** the present review,we aimed to summarize and discuss the efficacy-related parameters in rTMs treatment,encompassing stimulus frequency,stimulus pattern,stimulus intensity,and the configuration of the stimulus ***,we reviewed promising rTMS therapeutic protocols involving various combinations of these factors,that were examined in clinical *** on our analysis,we propose that a multisite high-frequency rTMS(HF-rTMS)regimen has value in AD therapy,and that promising single-site protocols,such as HF-rTMS,applied over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex,precuneus,or cerebellum are required to be validated in larger clinical ***,we provide a comprehensive review of the potential mechanisms underlying the neuroprotective effects of rTMS on cognition in AD in terms of brain network modulation as well as cellular and molecular *** conclusion,the interaction of diverse mechanisms may be responsible for the total therapeutic effect of rTMS on *** review provides theoretical and practical evidence for the future clinical application and scientific research of rTMS in AD.

L-Ergothioneine ameliorates MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease in C57BL/6J mice by activating DJ-1

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases. The loss of dopaminergic (DAergic) neurons in the substantia nigra and the decrease of dopamine (DA) levels accelerate the process of PD. L-Ergothioneine (EGT) is a natural antioxidant derived from microorganisms， especially in edible mushrooms. EGT can penetrate blood-brain barrier and its levels are significantly decreased in the plasma of PD patients. Therefore， we speculated that EGT could ameliorate PD， and determined its effect on PD development by using 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1，2，3，6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced PD mouse models and neurotoxin 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP+)-induced cell models. Our results show that EGT alleviated MPTP-induced behavioral dysfunction in mice. Mechanistically， we innovatively revealed that EGT is a key regulator of DJ-1. EGT restored DA levels by activating the DJ-1-Nuclear receptor-related factor 1(Nurr1) axis. Furthermore， it reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels by regulating the DJ-1-Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway， which inhibited oxidative stress-induced DAergic neuronal apoptosis. Combined treatment with DJ-1-siRNA transfection revealed that blocking DJ-1 reversed EGT upregulated Nurr1 and Nrf2 expression in the nucleus， which significantly decreased the benefits of EGT. Taken together， our study suggests that EGT can ameliorate PD and be considered as a strategy for PD treatment.

Residual stress modeling of mitigated fused silica damage sites with CO_(2)laser annealing

A numerical model based on measured fictive temperature distributions is explored to evaluate the residual stress fields of CO_(2)laser-annealed mitigated fused silica damage *** proposed model extracts the residual strain from the differences in thermoelastic contraction of fused silica with different fictive temperatures from the initial frozen-in temperatures to ambient *** residual stress fields of mitigated damage sites for the CO_(2)laser-annealed case are obtained by a finite element analysis of equilibrium equations and constitutive *** simulated results indicate that the proposed model can accurately evaluate the residual stress fields of laser-annealed mitigated damage sites with a complex thermal *** calculated maximum hoop stress is in good agreement with the reported experimental *** estimated optical retardance profiles from the calculated radial and hoop stress fields are consistent with the photoelastic *** results provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate the suitability of the proposed model for describing the residual stresses of mitigated fused silica damage sites after CO_(2)laser annealing.
