Effective monitoring of the structural health of combined coal-rock under complex geological conditions by pressure stimulated currents(PSCs)has great potential for the understanding of dynamic disasters in underground *** reveal the effect of this way,the uniaxial compression experiments with PSC monitoring were conducted on three types of coal-rock combination samples with different strength *** mechanism explanation of PSCs are investigated by resistivity test,atomic force microscopy(AFM)and computed tomography(CT)methods,and a PSC flow model based on progressive failure process is *** influence of strength combinations on PSCs in the progressive failure process are *** results show the PSC responses between rock part,coal part and the two components are different,which are affected by multi-scale fracture characteristics and electrical *** the rock strength decreases,the progressive failure process changes obviously with the influence range of interface constraint effect decreasing,resulting in the different responses of PSC strength and direction in different parts to fracture *** PSC flow model is initially validated by the relationship between the accumulated charges of different *** results are expected to provide a new reference and method for mining design and roadway quality assessment.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects and elucidate the mechanism of Astragaloside IV(AS-IV)for insulin resistance(IR)and type 2 diabet es mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:CCK8 kit was used to detect cell viability,glucose detection kit was used to detect the concentration of glucose in cell supernatant,reactive oxygen species(ROS)detection kit and Western blot were used to explore the mechanism of Astragaloside IV(AS-IV)in improving IR.A diabetic rat model was also established by feeding high sugar and fat diet and streptozotocin(STZ)*** treatment with AS-IV,rosiglitazone(ROZ),or normal saline,the fasting blood glucose(FBG),C peptide(C-P),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and the glucose tolerance were ***:AS-IV could effectively reduce the content of ROS and increase the glucose uptake in high insulintreated IR-type HepG 2 *** results of molecular mechanisms indicated that AS-IV could improve insulin resistance by reducing JNK phosphorylation and regulating c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)downstream protein ***,AS-IV could significantly reduce the levels of FBG,TNF-α,IL-6 and the glucose tolerance in diabetic rats(P<0.05 or<0.01).The high and medium dose groups of AS-IV could significantly increase the C-P levels in diabetic rats(P<0.05 or<0.01).CONCLUSIONS:Our results indicated that AS-IV improve liver IR through the JNK pathway and ROS,which meant a new molecular target for the treatment of *** AS-IV also helped to prevent and improved the insulin resistance of rats.

In this paper,we investigate networkassisted full-duplex(NAFD)cell-free millimeter-wave(mmWave)massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)systems with digital-to-analog converter(DAC)quantization and fronthaul *** propose to maximize the weighted uplink and downlink sum rate by jointly optimizing the power allocation of both the transmitting remote antenna units(T-RAUs)and uplink users and the variances of the downlink and uplink fronthaul compression *** deal with this challenging problem,we further apply a successive convex approximation(SCA)method to handle the non-convex bidirectional limited-capacity fronthaul *** simulation results verify the convergence of the proposed SCA-based algorithm and analyze the impact of fronthaul capacity and DAC quantization on the spectral efficiency of the NAFD cell-free mmWave massive MIMO ***,some insightful conclusions are obtained through the comparisons of spectral efficiency,which shows that NAFD achieves better performance gains than cotime co-frequency full-duplex cloud radio access network(CCFD C-RAN)in the cases of practical limited-resolution ***,their performance gaps with 8-bit DAC quantization are larger than that with1-bit DAC quantization,which attains a 5.5-fold improvement.

Currently,the neutron yield of Z-Pinch is lower than that of laser driven *** the neutron imaging for this facility,the signal to noise ratio(SNR)has a significant influence on the expected spatial resolution of the reconstructed fusion core,especially in the condition of low neutron *** this paper,mathematical model is purposed to describe the dependence of aperture parameters on the imaging *** investigation shows that the imaging SNR is closely related to the size of contrast boundary on the point spread *** to this,a novel non-uniform redundancy penumbra apertures array is *** addition,the imaging performances of this novel coded aperture,penumbra aperture and ring aperture are evaluated and compared by Monte Carlo *** comparison shows that this novel aperture has significant advantage compared to the penumbra aperture which is commonly used for neutron imaging with low *** encouraging results can provide reference for the optimal design of the coded aperture used in the neutron imaging for Z-pinch driven fusion with low neutron yield.

The short-term impacts of urban air pollution on the platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) remain *** this study,we included 3487 urban adults from the Wuhan-Zhuhai *** inhalation exposure to air pollutants was estimated by combining participants’daily breath volume and ambient concentrations of six air pollutants (includingfine particulate matter (PM_(2.5)),inhalable particulate matter(PM_(10)),nitrogen dioxide (NO_(2)),sulfur dioxide (SO_(2)),carbon monoxide (CO) and ozone (O_(3))).The cumulative impacts were assessed by applying lag structures of up to 7 days before the survey *** of air pollutants with PLR and NLR were assessed using a linear mixed model and Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) *** found that PLR was negatively related to PM_(2.5)(lag02-lag06),PM_(10)(lag02-lag07),NO_(2)(lag02-lag07),and SO_(2)(lag03-lag05) and NLR was negatively related to PM_(10)(lag05 and lag07).In the BKMR model,a negative joint association between the six-air-pollutant mixture and PLR and NLR was observed,whereas PM_(10)and NO_(2)appeared to be more important than the other pollutants in the *** negative impact of air pollutants was stronger in males,participants with lower body mass index (<24 kg/m^(2)),those cooking meals at home,drinkers,and *** conclusion,short-term exposure to air pollutants is significantly related to PLR and NLR in peripheral *** and NLR may provide new insight into the molecular mechanism underlying the adverse health impact of air pollutants.

Environmental exposure to crystalline silica particles can lead to silicosis, which is one of the most serious pulmonary interstitial fibrosis around the world. Unfortunately, the exact mechanism on silicosis is unclear, and the effective treatments are lacking to date. In this study, we aim to explore the molecular mechanism by which interleukin-11(IL-11) affects silica particles-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis. We observed that IL-11 expressions in mouse lungs were significantly increased after silica exposure, and maintained at high levels across both inflammation and fibrosis phase. Immunofluorescent dual staining further revealed that the overexpression of IL-11 mainly located in mouse lung epithelial cells and fibroblasts. Using neutralizing anti-IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the overexpression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(i.e., interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α) and fibrotic proteins(i.e., collagen type I and matrix metalloproteinase-2) induced by silica particles. Most importantly, the expressions of IL-11 receptor subunit α(IL-11Rα), Glycoprotein130(GP130), and phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK) were significantly increased in response to silica, whereas blocking of IL-11 markedly reduced their levels. All findings suggested that the overexpression of IL-11 was involved in the pathological of silicosis, while neutralizing IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the silica-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis by inhibiting the IL-11Rα/GP130/ERK signaling pathway. IL-11 might be a promising therapeutic target for lung inflammation and fibrosis caused by silica particles exposure.

Decision Intelligence Empowered Resource Management for 6G Vehicle-to-Everything Communications

To meet more requirements for the future communications, the sixth generation(6G) wireless communication networks are expected to provide the better coverage, spectra/energy efficiency, intelligence, and security than the fifth generation(5G) networks. With the recent advances in artificial intelligence(AI), the 6G vehicle-to-everything(V2X) focus on the further AI applications for intelligent transportation systems(ITS), especially for extending decision intelligence(DI) of resource management. Specifically, a new V2X framework integrated 6G techniques and AI approaches is proposed in this article. We introduce some typical 6G techniques to assist the vehicular intelligence as alternative ***, we provide the intelligent resource managements based on edge intelligence, integrated intelligence,distributed intelligence, and secure intelligence to overcome challenges of efficiency, delay, mobility, and privacy,respectively. We also propose a federated reinforcement learning(FRL) based algorithm to validate the privacyaware secure intelligence with effective resource management. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms the non-AI baseline schemes in the novel network structure. To enlighten future topics for 6G vehicular resource management, we discuss some potential scenarios with the promising AIbased solutions.

Numerical instabilities are often encountered in FE solution of continuumtopology optimization. The essence of the numerical instabilities is given from the inverse partialdifferential equation (PDE) point of view. On the basis of the strict mathematical theory, a novelmethod, named as window filter and multi-grid method, which solves the numerical instabilities, isproposed. Convergent analyses and a numerical example are presented.
