Quantum key distribution(QKD),rooted in quantum mechanics,offers information-theoretic security.However,practi-cal systems open security threats due to imperfections,notably bright-light blinding attacks targeting single-photon detectors.Here,we propose a concise,robust defense strategy for protecting single-photon detectors in QKD systems against blinding attacks.Our strategy uses a dual approach:detecting the bias current of the avalanche photodiode(APD)to defend against con-tinuous-wave blinding attacks,and monitoring the avalanche amplitude to protect against pulsed blinding attacks.By integrat-ing these two branches,the proposed solution effectively identifies and mitigates a wide range of bright light injection attempts,significantly enhancing the resilience of QKD systems against various bright-light blinding attacks.This method forti-fies the safeguards of quantum communications and offers a crucial contribution to the field of quantum information security.

The accurate prediction of landslide susceptibility shortly after a violent earthquake is quite vital to the emergency rescue in the 72-h‘‘golden window”.However,the limited quantity of interpreted landslides shortly after a massive earthquake makes landslide susceptibility prediction become a challenge.To address this gap,this work suggests an integrated method of Crossing Graph attention network and xgBoost(CGBoost).This method contains three branches,which extract the interrelations among pixels within a slope unit,the interrelations among various slope units,and the relevance between influencing factors and landslide probability,respectively,and obtain rich and discriminative features by an adaptive fusion mechanism.Thus,the difficulty of susceptibility modeling under a small number of coseismic landslides can be reduced.As a basic module of CGBoost,the proposed Crossing graph attention network(Crossgat)could characterize the spatial heterogeneity within and among slope units to reduce the false alarm in the susceptibility results.Moreover,the rainfall dynamic factors are utilized as prediction indices to improve the susceptibility performance,and the prediction index set is established by terrain,geology,human activity,environment,meteorology,and earthquake factors.CGBoost is applied to predict landslide susceptibility in the Gorkha meizoseismal area.3.43%of coseismic landslides are randomly selected,of which 70%are used for training,and the others for testing.In the testing set,the values of Overall Accuracy,Precision,Recall,F1-score,and Kappa coefficient of CGBoost attain 0.9800,0.9577,0.9999,0.9784,and 0.9598,respectively.Validated by all the coseismic landslides,CGBoost outperforms the current major landslide susceptibility assessment methods.The suggested CGBoost can be also applied to landslide susceptibility prediction in new earthquakes in the future.

This paper presents an analytical solution for the free vibration of functionally graded material(FGM)sandwich plates in a thermal environment.An equivalentsingle‐layer(ESL)plate theory with four variables is used to obtain the solution.Two types of sandwich plates are examined in this study:one with FGM face sheets and a homogeneous core and the other with an FGM core and homogeneous face sheets.The governing equations of motion are derived based on Hamilton's principle and then solved using the Navier method.The results of natural frequencies of simply supported FGM sandwich plates are compared with the available solutions in the literature.The effects of volume fraction distribution,geometrical parameters,and temperature increments on the free vibration characteristics are discussed in detail.

The planetary gearbox is a critical part of wind turbines,and has great significance for their safety and reliability.Intelligent fault diagnosis methods for these gearboxes have made some achievements based on the availability of large quantities of labeled data.However,the data collected from the diagnosed devices are always unlabeled,and the acquisition of fault data from real gearboxes is time-consuming and laborious.As some gearbox faults can be conveniently simulated by a relatively precise dynamic model,the data from dynamic simulation containing some features are related to those from the actual machines.As a potential tool,transfer learning adapts a network trained in a source domain to its application in a target domain.Therefore,a novel fault diagnosis method combining transfer learning with dynamic model is proposed to identify the health conditions of planetary gearboxes.In the method,a modified lumped-parameter dynamic model of a planetary gear train is established to simulate the resultant vibration signal,while an optimized deep transfer learning network based on a one-dimensional convolutional neural network is built to extract domain-invariant features from different domains to achieve fault classification.Various groups of transfer diagnosis experiments of planetary gearboxes are carried out,and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and the reliability of both the dynamic model and the proposed method.

The loosening of implant due to bacterial infection brings great difficulties to the implantation of bionic titanium devices.In this study,the Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework 8(ZIF-8)and silver ions were added to the surface of titanium alloy to obtain a uniform coating,which has nice biological activity and antibacterial property.The material structure characterizations,such as X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),proved that titanium is successfully modified with ZIF-8 and silver ions.It has micro-and nano-level characteristics,rough porous morphology,and excellent apatite inducing ability.The water contact angle experiment shows that the addition of ZIF-8 greatly increases the hydrophilicity of material,which provides conditions for the attachment of osteoblasts.The polarization curve obtained from the electrochemical test proves that the addition of ZIF-8 coating improves the corrosion resistance of titanium.The release of silver ion has a strong growth inhibitory effect on E.coli,and exhibits excellent antibacterial properties.Therefore,the preparation of ZIF-8/Ag coatings on 3D printed titanium provides a new option for the development of orthopedic implants.

Roles of pre-formed martensite in below-Ms bainite formation,microstructure,strain partitioning and impact absorption energies of low-carbon bainitic steel

The roles of pre-formed martensite(PM)in below-Ms bainite formation,microstructure,crystallography,strain partitioning and mechanical properties of a low-carbon bainitic steel were investigated using electron-backscattered diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,micro digital image correlation technique and mechanical tests.It is demonstrated that the pre-formation of martensite eliminates the incubation time for bainite transformation at various austempering temperatures below Ms,indicative of its acceleration effect at the early stage of transformation.This effect is mainly attributed to the surfaces or tips of the PM acting as the nuclei of subsequently-formed bainite,with initial bainite tending to form around the PM.However,the finishing time for below-Ms bainite transformation,especially at even lower temperatures,is retarded,owing to the dividing effect of PM on parent austenite grains,the decreasing effect of lowered isothermal temperature on the diffusion rate of carbon atoms and the strengthening effect of lowered isothermal temperature on supercooled austenite.PM and its adjacent bainitic laths have nearly the same crystallographic orientation and belong to the same block.The pre-formation of martensite largely refines the bainitic blocks/laths and retained austenite.The specimens with PM show relatively uniform strain partitioning among various phases,contrasting with the specimens without PM,for which strains are highly concentrated in the bainite region nearby fresh martensite/austenite(M/A)blocks or between adjacent M/A blocks.The impact absorption energies of the specimens with PM,when austempered at 30-60℃ below Ms,are more than twice higher than those of the specimens without PM,at no expense of tensile properties.

With the continuous and rapid growth of transport demand,scheduling strategy of warehouse has become a key issue in the field of logistics transportation.The structural differences of the warehouse,the automated storage and retrieval system(AS/RS)model and the two-end dual stackers scheduling model(TDSM)are considered,and a new improved genetic algorithm(NIGA)is proposed.It can adjust the algorithm structure according to the density of population fitness value,and effectively optimize the stacker path.In the TDSM,an improved anti-collision principle is proposed to avoid collision of two stackers.Besides,combined with the optimal anti-collision boundary inspection mechanism,the best working area for the two stackers is allocated by using NIGA.Finally,the new improved GA is compared with GA and the adaptive GA on specific storage and retrieval tasks.The simulation results show that the proposed NIGA well outperforms other GAs in most instances,which indicates that it is an effective approach for the AS/RS and the TDSM scheduling optimization problem.

Active High-Locality Landslides in Mao County: Early Identification and Deformational Rules

High-locality landslides are located on slopes at high elevations and are characterized by long sliding distances, large gravitational potential energy, high movement velocities, tremendous kinetic energy, and sudden onset. Thus, they often cause catastrophic damage to human lives and engineering facilities. It is of great significance to identify active high-locality landslides in their early deformational stages and to reveal their deformational rules for effective disaster mitigation. Due to alpinecanyon landforms, Mao County is a representative source of high-locality landslides. This work employs multisource data(geological, terrain, meteorological, ground sensor, and remote sensing data) and timeseries In SAR technology to recognize active high-locality landslides in Mao County and to reveal their laws of development. Some new viewpoints are suggested.(1) Nineteen active high-locality landslides are identified by the time-series In SAR technique, of which 7 are newly discovered in this work. All these high-locality landslides possessed good concealment during their early deformational stages. The newly discovered HL-16 landslide featured a large scale and a great slope height, posing a large threat to the surrounding buildings and residents.(2) The high-locality landslides in Mao County were mainly triggered by three factors: earthquakes, precipitation, and road construction.(3) Three typical high-locality landslides that were triggered by different factors are highlighted with their deformational rules under the functions of steep terrain, shattered rocks, fissure-water penetration, precipitation, and road construction. This work may provide clues to the prevention and control of high-locality landslides and can be applied to the determination of active high-locality landslides in other hard-hit areas.
