The paper presents an improved plane layout for stabilizing piles based on a proposed piecewise function expression for the irregular driving force. Based on the specific morphological characteristics of a highway landslide, the piecewise function is used to calculate the irregular driving force by dividing the landslide into several ***, the reasonable layout range and pile spacing can be obtained based on the piecewise function expression of the irregular driving force and on relevant research results of the plane layout for stabilizing piles. Therefore, an improved plane layout of stabilizing piles is presented in consideration of a piecewise function expression of the irregular driving force. A highway landslide located in eastern Guizhou Province, China, is analyzed as a case study using the proposed method. The results demonstrate that the theory presented in this paper provides improved economic benefits and can reduce the requirednumber of stabilizing piles by 28.6% compared with the conventional plane layout scheme.

This study presents an innovative model in computational geotechnical engineering by improving the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics(SPH)method for simulating loose particle dynamics in coal caving *** improved model integrates an elastic-perfectly plastic constitutive model with the Drucker-Prager yield criterion and includes several improvements aimed at boosting accuracy,stability,and *** improvements include gravity loading coupled with particle damping,first-order stress field smoothing,and kernel gradient correction.A series of numerical experiments validates the effectiveness of the improved SPH model,demonstrating its capability to predict large deformations and track the evolution of the coal-rock interface in coal caving ***,the study analyzes the model's sensitivity to material parameters such as the angle of friction and material density,which aids in configuring the model for distinct coal mining *** show that the non-cohesive elastic-perfectly plastic constitutive model can effectively simulate the flow behavior of granular particles,and the landslide simulation results are in good agreement with the *** improved SPH algorithm with stress smoothing technique solves the problem of numerical noise,and the“double peak”stress distribution around the coal outlet is *** established SPH model offers an effective tool for understanding dynamics behaviors of loose top ***,the model requires only five material parameters,which can be identified through standard experiments,avoiding the typically arduous process of parameter selection or calibration commonly existing in Discrete Element Method simulations.

Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici （Pst）, is one of the most widespread and destructive wheat diseases in many wheat-growing regions of the world. The winter wheat translocation line H9014-14-4-6-1 has all stage resistance. To identify stripe rust resistance genes, the segregating populations were developed from the cross between H9014-14-4-6-1 and Mingxian 169 （a wheat cultivar susceptible to all Pst races identified in China）. The seedlings of the parents and F1 plants, Fz, F3 and BC1 generations were tested with Pst races under controlled greenhouse conditions. Two genes for resistance to stripe rust were identified, one dominant gene conferred resistance to SUN11-4, temporarily designated YrH9014 and the other recessive gene conferred resistance to CYR33. The bulked segregant analysis and simple sequence repeat （SSR） markers were used to identify polymorphic markers associated with YrH9014. Seven polymorphic SSR markers were used to genotype the F2 population inoculated with SUN11-4. A linkage map was constructed according to the genotypes of seven SSR markers and resistance gene. The molecular map spanned 24.3 cM, and the genetic distance of the two closest markers Xbarc13 and Xbarc55 to gene locus was 1.4 and 3.6 cM, respectively. Based on the position of SSR marker, the resistance gene YrH9014 was located on chromosome arm 2BS. Amplification of a set of nulli-tetrasomic Chinese Spring lines with SSR marker Xbarc13 indicated that YrH9014 was located on chromosome 2B. Based on chromosomal location, the reaction patterns and pedigree analysis, YrH9014 should be a novel resistance gene to stripe rust. This new gene and flanking markers got from this study should be useful for marker-assisted selection （MAS） in breeding programs for stripe rust.

A splicing mutation in VPS4B can cause dentin dysplasia type I(DD-I),a hereditary autosomal-dominant disorder characterized by rootless teeth,the etiology of which is genetically *** our study,dental follicle cells(DFCs)were isolated and cultured from a patient with DD-I and compared with those from an age-matched,healthy *** a previous study,this DD-I patient was confirmed to have a loss-of-function splicing mutation in VPS4B(IVS7+46C>G).The results from this study showed that the isolated DFCs were vimentin-positive and CK14-negative,indicating that the isolated cells were derived from the *** harboring the VPS4B mutation had a significantly higher proliferation rate from day 3 to day 8 than control DFCs,indicating that VPS4B is involved in cell *** cells were then replenished with osteogenic medium to investigate how the VPS4B mutation affected osteogenic *** of osteogenesis,detected by alizarin red and alkaline phosphatase staining in vitro,was decreased in the DFCs from the DD-I patient compared to the control ***,we also found that the VPS4B mutation in the DD-I patient downregulated the expression of osteoblast-related genes,such as ALP,BSP,OCN,RUNX2,and their encoded *** outcomes confirmed that the DD-I-associated VPS4B mutation could decrease the capacity of DFCs to differentiate during the mineralization process and may also impair physiological root formation and bone *** might provide valuable insights and implications for exploring the pathological mechanisms underlying DD-I root development.

Surgical treatment of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma: a retrospective study of 104 cases

Objective: To explore the clinicopathological features, surgical treatment techniques, and prognostic risk factors of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC).Methods: A total of 104 ICC cases were collected from January 2008 to December 2013 at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital and divided into the hepatic hilum lymphadenectomy(HLL, 21 cases), extended hepatic hilum lymphadenectomy(EHLL, 12 cases), and non-lymphadenectomy(NL, 71 cases) groups. The clinical data of the patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the prognostic differences were compared among different ***: The 1-, 2-, and 3-year overall survival(OS) rates of all cases were 72.1%, 56.1%, and 43.7%, respectively. The median survival duration was 34 months. The 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates of the HLL group(42.9%, 28.6%, and 28.6%, respectively) were significantly lower than those of the NL group(78.9%, 62.5%, and 47.8%, respectively). Meanwhile, the 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates of the EHLL group(75.0%, 56.1%, and 33.3%, respectively) were not significantly different from those of the other two *** analysis showed that age, gender, American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) stage, differentiation, ferritin(Fer),carbohydrate antigen19-9(CA19-9) and carcinoembryonicantigen(CEA) levels, lymph node metastasis(LNM), and lymph node dissection(LND) were prognostic factors for the long-term survival of ICC. Meanwhile, multivariate analysis revealed that age,AJCC stage, differentiation, Fer levels, and LNM were independent risk factors for ***: ICC patients will not benefit from lymphadenectomy in the absence of LNM. However, systematic lymphadenectomy may improve ICC outcomes if the location of lymphatic metastasis is known. Age, AJCC stage, differentiation,Fer level, and LNM are independent risk factors for survival in ICC.

One of the biggest challenges in ultra-wideband （UWB） radio is the accurate timing acquisition for the receiver. In this article, we develop a novel data-aided synchronization algorithm for pulses amplitude modulation （PAM） UWB systems Pilot and information symbols are transmitted simultaneously by an orthogonal code division multiplexing （OCDM） scheme. In the receiver, an algorithm based on the minimum average error probability （MAEP） of coherent detector is applied to estimate the timing offset. The multipath interference （MI） problem for timing offset estimation is considered. The mean-square-error （MSE） and the bit-error-rate（BER） performances of our proposed scheme are simulated. The results show that our algorithm outperforms the algorithm based on the maximum correlator output （MCO） in multipath channels.
