Dielectric-ion-conductive ZnNb2O6 layer enabling rapid desolvation and diffusion for dendrite-free Zn metal batteries

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-metal batteries （AZMBs） are promising candidates for large-scale energy storage systems due to their low cost and high ***,their performance and sustainability are significantly hindered by the sluggish desolvation kinetics at the electrode/electrolyte interface and the corresponding hydrogen evolution reaction where active water molecules tightly participate in the Zn（H2O）62+solvation ***,learnt from self-generated solid electrolyte interphase （SEI） in anodes,the dielectric but ion-conductive zinc niobate nanoparticles artificial layer is constructed on metallic Zn surface （ZNB@Zn）,acting as a rapid desolvation *** zincophilic and dielectric-conductive properties of ZNB layer accelerate interfacial desolvation/diffusion and suppress surface corrosion or dendrite formation,achieving uniform Zn plating/stripping behavior,as confirmed by electronic/optical microscopies and interface spectroscopical measurements together with theoretical ***,the as-prepared ZNB@Zn electrode exhibits excellent cycling stability of over 2000 h and robust reversibility （99.54%） even under high current density and depth of discharge ***,the assembled ZNB@Zn-based full cell displays high capacity-retention rate of 80.21%after 3000 cycles at 5 A g-1and outstanding rate performance up to 10 A *** large-areal pouch cell is stabilized for hundreds of cycles,highlighting the bright prospects of the dielectric but ion-conductive layer in further application of AZMBs.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Prediction-based event-triggered identification of quantized input FIR systems with quantized output observations

This paper addresses the identification of finite impulse response(FIR) systems with both quantized and event-triggered observations. An event-triggered communication scheme for the binary-valued output quantization is introduced to save communication resources. Combining the empirical-measure-based identification technique and the weighted least-squares optimization, an algorithm is proposed to estimate the unknown parameter by full use of the received data and the not-triggered condition. Under quantized inputs, it is shown that the estimate can strongly converge to the real values and the estimator is asymptotically efficient in terms of the Cram′er-Rao lower bound. Further, the limit of the average communication rate is derived and the tradeoff between this limit and the estimation performance is discussed. Moreover, the case of multi-threshold quantized observations is considered. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the obtained main results.

Quantum Dissipative Threshold and Its Effect on Decay of Metastable State

The coupling between system and reservoir is considered to be linear in the coordinates of the bath but nonlinear in the system's coordinate. A dissipative threshold is observed at finite temperatures due to nonlinear dissipation. The quantum decay rate of a metastable state including higher-order expanded terms of the coupling form function is proposed, which can be strongly decreased at finite temperatures when the quantum dissipative threshold is added to the saddle point of the potential.

Time Evolution of a Harmonic Chain with Fixed Boundary Conditions

Inertial Lévy Flight with Nonlinear Friction

Lévy flight with nonlinear friction is *** to the occurrence of extremely long jumps Lévy flights often possess infinite variance and are physically problematic if describing the dynamics of a particle of finite ***,by introducing nonlinear friction,we show that the stochastic process subject to Lévy noise exhibits finite variance,leading to a well-defined kinetic *** the force-free field,normal diffusion behavior is observed and the diffusion coefficient decreases with Lévy index𝜇.Furthermore,we find a kinetic resonance of the particle in the harmonic potential to the external oscillating field in the generally underdamped region and the value of the linear friction𝛾0 determines whether resonance occurs or not.

Convergence of some finite element iterative methods related to different Reynolds numbers for the 2D/3D stationary incompressible magnetohydrodynamics

Based on the finite element method(FEM), some iterative methods related to different Reynolds numbers are designed and analyzed for solving the 2D/3D stationary incompressible magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) numerically. Two-level finite element iterative methods, consisting of the classical m-iteration methods on a coarse grid and corrections on a fine grid, are designed to solve the system at low Reynolds numbers under the strong uniqueness condition. One-level Oseen-type iterative method is investigated on a fine mesh at high Reynolds numbers under the weak uniqueness condition. Furthermore, the uniform stability and convergence of these methods with respect to equation parameters R_e, R_m, S_c, mesh sizes h, H and iterative step m are provided. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed methods is confirmed by numerical investigations.

Comparing the biological coherence of network clusters identified by different detection algorithms

Protein-protein interaction networks serve to carry out basic molecular activity in the cell. Detecting the modular structures from the protein-protein interaction network is important for understanding the organization, function and dynamics of a biological system. In order to identify functional neighbor- hoods based on network topology, many network cluster identification algorithms have been devel- oped. However, each algorithm might dissect a network from a different aspect and may provide dif- ferent insight on the network partition. In order to objectively evaluate the performance of four com- monly used cluster detection algorithms: molecular complex detection (MCODE), NetworkBlast, shortest-distance clustering (SDC) and Girvan-Newman (G-N) algorithm, we compared the biological coherence of the network clusters found by these algorithms through a uniform evaluation framework. Each algorithm was utilized to find network clusters in two different protein-protein interaction net- works with various parameters. Comparison of the resulting network clusters indicates that clusters found by MCODE and SDC are of higher biological coherence than those by NetworkBlast and G-N algorithm.
