choice of the Best Production Prediction Model for the Zagtouli Solar Power Plant in Burkina-Faso

In this paper, we present a study on the prediction of the power produced by the 33 MWp photovoltaic power plant at Zagtouli in Burkina-Faso, as a function of climatic factors. We identified models in the literature, namely the Benchmark, input/output, Marion, cristo-fri, Kroposki, Jones-Underwood and Hatziargyriou prediction models, which depend exclusively on environmental parameters. We then compared our linear model with these seven mathematical models in order to determine the most optimal prediction model. Our results show that the Hatziargyriou model is better in terms of accuracy for power prediction.

Is chronic hepatitis c virus infection a risk factor for breast cancer?

AIM:To evaluate the prevalence of breast tumors in adult females with chronic hepatitis c virus(HcV) ***:Prospective,single-center study,based on female outpatients consulting in a liver unit,for 1 *** study group included females with present and/or past history of chronic infection by *** with spontaneous recovery were *** hepatitis had been proved by liver biopsy in the majority of cases and/or biological markers of inflammation and *** control group included female patients with other well documented chronic liver diseases:chronic hepatitis B,alcoholic liver disease,autoimmune hepatitis,hemochromatosis,non alcoholic liver disease,chronic *** patients were prospectively questioned during consultation about past breast history and follow-up by ***:Breast carcinoma was recorded in 17/294 patients with HcV infection(5.8%,95% cI:3.1-8.4) vs 5/107 control patients(4.7%,95% cI:0.67-8.67).Benign tumors of the breast(mastosis,nodules,cysts) were recorded in 75/294 patients with HcV infection(25.5%,95% cI:20.5-30.5) vs 21/107(19.6%,95% cI:12.1-27.1) in the control *** lesion was noted in 202 patients with HcV(68.7%,95% cI:63.4-74) vs 81 control patients(75.7%,95% cI:67.6-83.8).Despite a trend to an increased prevalence in the group with HcV infection,the difference was not significant compared to the control group(P=NS).In patients over 40 years,the results were,respectively,as follows:breast cancer associated with HcV:17/266 patients(6.3%,95% cI:3.4-9.3) vs 5/95 patients(5.2%,95% cI:0.7-9.7) in the control group;benign breast tumors:72/266 patients with HcV infection(27%,95% cI:21.7-32.4) vs 18/95 patients(18.9%,95% cI:11-26.8) in the control group;no breast lesion 177/266(66.5%,95% cI:60.9-72.2) in patients with HcV infection vs 72/95(75.7%,95% cI:67.1-84.4) in the control *** differences were not significant(P=NS).cONcLUSION:These results suggest that chronic HcV infectio

Partial Beclin 1 silencing aggravates doxorubicin-and Fasinduced apoptosis in HepG2 cells

AIM： To investigate the role of Beclin 1 on the susceptibility of HepG2 cells to undergo apoptosis after anti-Fas antibody or doxorubicin treatment. METHODS： Beclin 1 silencing was achieved using RNA interference. DNA ploidy, the percentage of apoptotic cells and the mitochondrial membrane potential were assessed by flow cytometry. Levels of Beclin 1, BcI-XL and cytochrome c, and the cleavage of poly （ADP-ribose） polymerase （PARP） were assayed by using Western blots. RESULTS： Beclin 1 expression decreased by 75% 72 h after Beclin 1 siRNA transfection. Partial Beclin 1 silencing significantly increased the percentage of subG1 cells 24 and 40 h after treatment with doxorubicin or anti-Fas antibody, respectively, and this potentiation was abrogated by treatment with a pan-caspase inhibitor. Partial Beclin 1 silencing also increased PARP cleavage, mitochondrial membrane depolarization and cytosolic cytochrome c. The pro-apoptotic consequences of partial Beclin 1 silencing were not associated with a decline in Bcl-XL expression.cONcLUSION： Partial Beclin 1 silencing aggravates mitochondrial permeabilization and apoptosis in HepG2 cells treated with an anti-Fas antibody or with doxorubicin.

Study of Simple Hydrodynamic Solutions with the Two-Relaxation-Times Lattice Boltzmann Scheme

For simple hydrodynamic solutions, where the pressure and the velocity arepolynomial functions of the coordinates, exact microscopic solutions are constructedfor the two-relaxation-time (TRT) Lattice Boltzmann model with variable forcing andsupported by exact boundary schemes. We show how simple numerical and analyticalsolutions can be interrelated for Dirichlet velocity, pressure and mixed (pressure/tangential velocity) multi-reflection (MR) type schemes. Special care is taken toadapt themfor corners, to examine the uniqueness of the obtained steady solutions andstaggered invariants, to validate their exact parametrization by the non-dimensionalhydrodynamic and a “kinetic” (collision) number. We also present an inlet/outlet“constant mass flux” condition. We show, both analytically and numerically, that thekinetic boundary schemes may result in the appearance of Knudsen layers which arebeyond the methodology of the chapman-Enskog analysis. Time dependent Dirichletboundary conditions are investigated for pulsatile flow driven by an oscillating pressuredrop or forcing. Analytical approximations are constructed in order to extend thepulsatile solution for compressible regimes.

Sr,Nd,Pb and trace element systematics of the New caledonia harzburgites:Tracking source depletion and contamination processes in a SSZ setting

The New caledonia ophiolite(Peridotite Nappe)consists primarily of harzburgites,locally overlain by mafic-ultramafic cumulates,and minor spinel and plagioclase *** this study,a comprehensive geochemical data set(major and trace element,Sr-Nd-Pb isotopes)has been obtained on a new set of fresh harzburgites in order to track the processes recorded by this mantle section and its *** studied harzburgites are low-strain tectonites showing porphyroclastic textures,locally grading into protomylonitic *** exhibit a refractory nature,as attested by the notable absence of primary clinopyroxene,very high Fo content of olivine(91-93 mol.%),high Mg#of orthopyroxene(0.91-0.93)and high cr#of spinel(0.44-0.71).The harzburgites are characterised by remarkably low REE concentrations(chondritic values)and display"U-shaped"profiles,with steeply sloping HREE(DyN/YbN=0.07-0.16)and fractionated LREE-MREE segments(LaN/SmN=2.1-8.3),in the range of modern fore-arc *** modelling shows that the HREE composition of the harzburgites can be reproduced by multi-stage melting including a first phase of melt depletion in dry conditions(15%fractional melting),followed by hydrous melting in a subduction zone setting(up to 15%-18%).However,melting models fail to explain the enrichments observed for some FME(***,Sr,Pb),LREE-MREE and *** enrichments,coupled with the frequent occurrence of thin,undeformed films of Al2 O3,and caO-poor orthopyroxene(Al2O3=0.88-1.53 wt.%,caO=0.31-0.56 wt.%)and clinopyroxene with low Na2 O(0.03-0.16 wt.%),Al2 O3(0.66-1.35 wt.%)and TiO2(0.04-0.10 wt.%)contents,point to FME addition during fluid-assisted melting followed by late stage metasomatism most likely operated by subductionrelated melts with a depleted trace element *** isotopic ratios range from unradiogenic to radiogenic(-0.80correlate with Sr isotopes(0.70257≤87Sr/86Sr≤0.70770).Pb isotopes cover a wide range,trendi
