Changing dietary n-6:n-3 ratio using different oil sources affects performance,behavior,cytokines mRNA expression and meat fatty acid profile of broiler chickens

Typical formulated broiler diets are deficient in n-3 poly-unsaturated fatty acids(PUFA) due to widening n-6:n-3 PUFA ratio which could greatly affect performance,immune system of birds and,more importantly,meat *** study was conducted to evaluate the effect of modifying dietary n-6:n-3 PUFA ratio from plant and animal oil sources on performance,behavior,cytokine m RNA expression,antioxidative status and meat fatty acid profile of broiler ***(n=420) were fed 7 diets enriched with different dietary oil sources and ratios as follows: sunflower oil in control diet(C); fish oil(FO); 1:1 ratio of sunflower oil to FO(C1 FO1); 3:1 ratio of sunflower oil to fish oil(C3 FO1); linseed oil(LO); 1:1 ratio of sunflower oil to linseed oil(C1 LO1); 3:1 ratio of sunflower oil to linseed oil(C3 LO1),resulting in dietary n-6:n-3 ratios of approximately 40:1,1.5:1,4:1,8:1,1:1,2.5:1 and 5:1,*** best final body weight,feed conversion ratio as well as protein efficiency ratio of broilers were recorded in the C1 FO1 and C1 LO1 *** with the control group,the dressing percentage and breast and thigh yield were highest in the C1 FO1 and C1 LO1 *** the dietary n-6:n-3 ratio increased(P st ***,the breast meat contents of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid increased(P sing dietary FO whereas a-linolenic acid content was higher with LO ***,enriching the diets with n-3 PUFA from FO and LO clearly decreased(P serum total cholesterol,triglycerides and very low-density lipoproteins and enhanced antioxidative *** feeding frequency was decreased(P s enhanced the frequency of preening,wing flapping and *** oil source addition,compared to plant oil,to broiler diets enhanced the relative m RNA expression of interferon gamma,interleukin-1 beta,interleukin-2 and

Dosimetric Comparison between Coplanar and Non-Coplanar Fields in Irradiation of Middle and Lower Lobes Lung Tumors

Purpose: To compare between the coplanar and non-coplanar fields regarding planning target volume (PTV) coverage, conformity index and preservation of organs at risk (heart-lungs-esophagus and spinal cord). Materials and Methods: 10 patients presented with stage IIIA or IIIB NsCLC with a tumor located in the middle or lower lobes. Because of this location, the heart is one of the main organs at risk. Two plans, coplanar and non-coplanar 3 dimensional conformal radiotherapy plans are performed for each patient. All treatment plans are created using Xio - Computerized medical system treatment planning system. The prescribed dose is 64 Gy in 32 fractions. Results: For both plans, the maximum dose to the PTV doesn’t exceed 110% of the prescribed dose;the 95% isodose (60.8 Gy) covers at least 95% of the PTV volume and the mean conformity index values are also very similar 0.59 vs 0.61 for coplanar and non-coplanar plans respectively without statistically significant difference (P = 0.1711). Regarding organs at risk, large advantage for adding a non-coplanar field in the preservation of the heart is observed. The mean V30 values for noncoplanar plan are 17.3 Gy versus 28.9 Gy for the coplanar plan with statistically significant difference (P = 0.0060). Also, the mean V40 and V50 values for the non coplanar compared to coplanar plan are 12.6 Gy and 7.9 Gy versus 23.1 Gy and 14.9 Gy respectively, and these differences are statistically significant (P = 0.0162) (P = 0.0084). No statistically significant differences are found between coplanar and non-coplanar plans for lungs, esophagus or the spinal cord. Conclusion: Using non-coplanar beams in the irradiation of middle and lower lung tumors significantly reduces the radiation dose to the heart with the same target volume coverage and conformity index.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LsTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-sutcliffe model eficiency(NsE),mean square error(MsE),root MsE(RMsE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LsTM,bidirectional LsTM(BiLsTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LsTM(ConvLsTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMsE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

size-controlled gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were prepared in the presence of different capping materials (sodium citrate, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and chitosan). The results obtained suggest that the AuNPs were synthesized with different particle size, which is controlled by changing the molar ratio between sodium citrate, (CTAB), and chitosan to Au (III). The catalytic activities of the AuNPs with different capping materials were studied for 4-nitrophenol reduction by NaBH4 as a model reaction. AuNPs with different capping materials is comparable from the value of the apparent rate constant of 4-nitrophenol reduction (0.6 × 10–3, 1.9 × 10–3, and 2.4 × 10–3 s–1) for sodium citrate, CTAB and chitosan. From the results, it is concluded that, AuNPs catalyzed the electron transfer process between and nitro compounds with all the capping materials used AuNPs capped by chitosan were more active for the reduction than the other two.

Marine derived fungi are considered as a promising source of novel drugs due to their biodiversity and consequent chemo-diversity. Although marine microorganisms especially fungi are not well defined taxonomically, making this a promising frontier for the discovery of new medicines. This study focused on marine derived fungi as a model for bioactive exploration for new entities with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacity. Three in-vitro assays were used to investigate the bioactive antioxidant potentiality of fungal extracts. Thiobarbituric acid (TBARs),α,α-Diphenyl-β- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and NO assay are based on their total phenolic and flavonoid content of each extract group. Ch. globosum recorded the highest antioxidant activity (92.82%) in TBARs assay, while G. dankaliensis came first by recording 59.28% in DPPH assay in comparison with ascorbic acid (61.83%). In NO inhibition assay, N. oryzae showed 49.3% comparing with ascorbic acid (73.12%). From the preliminary result of our extracts, we can consider the marine derived fungi extracts as promising antioxidant and anti-inflammatory drug candidate.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDs),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(Fs)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDs dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.
