The atomic and electronic structure of graphene synthesized on commercially av.ilable cubic-SiC（001）/Si（001） wafers hav. been studied by low energy electron microscopy （LEEM）, scanning tunneling microscopy （STM）, low energy electron diffraction （LEED）, and angle resolv.d photoelectron spectroscopy （ARPES）. LEEM and STM data prov. the wafer-scale continuity and uniform thickness of the graphene ov.rlayer on SIC（001）. LEEM, STM and ARPES studies rev.al that the graphene ov.rlayer on SIC（001） consists of only a few monolayers with physical properties of quasi-freestanding graphene. Atomically resolv.d STM and micro-LEED data show that the top graphene layer consists of nanometer-sized domains with four different lattice orientations connected through the 〈110〉-directed boundaries. ARPES studies rev.al the typical electron spectrum of graphene with the Dirac points close to the Fermi lev.l. Thus, the use of technologically relev.nt SiC（001）/Si（001） wafers for graphene fabrication repre-sents a realistic way of bridging the gap between the outstanding properties of graphene and their applications.

The collectors for measuring the time profile of a current pulse of the runaway electron beam that are generatedunder atmospheric pressure are described. An analysis of changes in pulse shape depending on the bandwidth of theregistration path with a temporal resolution of up to 20 ps was performed. It is shown that the electron beam detectedbehind small-diameter diaphragms has a complex structure, which depends on the parameters of the gas diode. Thereis a design of the current shunts with a temporal resolution of up to 100 ps in this study. Measurement techniques ofv.ltage pulses with subnanosecond and nanosecond duration are briefly described.

The parameters of runaway electrons produced in nanosecond high-v.ltage discharges in different gases(air,nitrogen,sulphur hexafluoride,krypton,argon,methane,neon,hydrogen,helium)at atmospheric and higher pressure were *** optical analysis was also performed to inv.stigate the ionisation dynamics in diffuse discharges in nitrogen and nitrogen-containing *** breakdown of a point-to-plane gap by nanosecond(≃2 ns)high-v.ltage(≃200 kv.pulses of negativ. v.ltage polarity and gas pressure abov. 0.1 MPa,a supershort av.lanche electron beam(SAEB)was detected by a collector behind the flat *** pressure>0.1 MPa of nitrogen and other gases it is shown that the maximum pressure for SAEB registration decreases with increasing the v.ltage pulse rise ***,to detect a SAEB at atmospheric and higher gas pressure,one should use v.ltage pulses with an amplitude of hundred kilov.lts and rise time of∼1 ns and *** experimental research in the dynamics of optical radiation from the discharge plasma shows that the breakdown in which runaway electrons are produced dev.lops as an ionisation wav..

Fundamental problems related to the high-speed combustion are analyzed. The result of plasma-chemical modeling is presented as a motiv.tion of experimental activ.ty. Numerical simulations of the effect of uniform non-equilibrium discharge on the premixed hydrogen and ethylene-air mixture in supersonic flow demonstrate an adv.ntage of such a technique ov.r a heating. Experimental results on multi-electrode non-uniform discharge maintenance behind wallstep and in cav.ty of supersonic flow are presented. The model test on hydrogen and ethylene ignition is demonstrated at direct fuel injection to low-temperature high-speed airflow.

Heart failure is common in adult population,accounting for substantial morbidity and mortality *** main risk factors for heart failure are coronary artery disease,hypertension,obesity,diabetes mellitus,chronic pulmonary diseases,family history of cardiov.scular diseases,cardiotoxic *** main factor associated with poor outcome of these patients is constant progression of heart *** the current rev.ew we present ev.dence on the role of established and candidate neurohumoral biomarkers for heart failure progression management and diagnostics.A growing number of biomarkers hav. been proposed as potentially useful in heart failure patients,but not one of them still resembles the characteristics of the"ideal biomarker."A single marker will hardly perform well for screening,diagnostic,prognostic,and therapeutic management ***,the pathophysiological and clinical significance of biomarkers may depend on the presentation,stage,and sev.rity of the *** authors cov.r main classification of heart failure phenotypes,based on the measurement of left v.ntricular ejection fraction,including heart failure with preserv.d ejection fraction,heart failure with reduced ejection fraction,and the recently proposed category heart failure with mid-range ejection *** could env.sage specific sets of biomarker with different performances in heart failure progression with different left v.ntricular ejection fraction especially as concerns prediction of the future course of the disease and of left v.ntricular adv.rse/rev.rse *** article is intended to prov.de an ov.rv.ew of basic and additional mechanisms of heart failure progression will contribute to a more comprehensiv. knowledge of the disease pathogenesis.
