Low-Energy Driven Ring-Opening Behavior of Benzocyclobutene Derivatives

It's urgent to develop benzocyclobutene(BCB)-based polymers with low curing temperature for temperature-sensitive applications such as liquid crystal displays(LCDs)and flexible ***,the effect of substituents on the ring-opening behavior of BCB derivatives was *** ring-opening activation energy barriers(ΔGA)of BCB derivatives with one or two substituents on the four-membered alkyl ring were systematically calculated using the B3LYP *** mono-and di-substituted BCBs adopted the conrotatory ring-opening process,obeying the Woodward-Hoffmann's Rules upon *** mono-/di-substituted BCBs exhibited 8.2%—69%lowerΔGA compared with BCB,attributed to the electronic effects of the *** BCBs with both electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups,e.g.,1-NH_(2)-8-NO_(2)-BCB,demonstrated the lowestΔ*** addition,BCB derivatives with amide/ester/acyloxy group modified on C1 position were synthesized as model molecules,and their ring-opening temperature can be decreased by 20℃ compared to the unsubstituted one,also consistent with our calculation *** work combined theoretical calculation methods with experimental results to provide valuable insights into the design and synthesis of BCB derivatives and next-generation BCB functional packaging materials with low ring-opening temperature.

This study was conducted to determine the parent-off spring genetic structure of the pedunculate oak(Quercus robur L.),sessile oak(***[Matt.]Liebl.)and their *** half-sib Quercus families and their maternal trees originating from one tree stand in southern Lithuania were analyzed using ssR and RAPD *** on a preliminary study of leaf morphological traits,the individuals separated into six *** studied halfsib oak families were also compared for allelic diversity,including group variations;genotypic structure;genetic diversity;and the degree of genetic subdivision and diff *** level of genetic variation and subdivision was lower in the hybrid families than in the families of the parental *** analysis of the half-sibling off spring showed the asymmetric nature of interspecifi c hybridization processes of pedunculate and sessile oaks in mixed stands.

During the last few decades, environmental impact of the petroleum-based transportation infrastructure, along with the peak oil, has led to renewed interest in an electric transportation infrastructure. This gave a push to development of electric and hybrid electric vehicle technology. Five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMsM) attracts a great attention from researchers, as attraction motor for electric vehicles(EV) due to its reliability and efficiency. In order to fully utilize its capabilities, an advanced speed and torque control technique is needed. In real EV applications multiphase drivers are subject to various disturbances which may come internally and externally. Focus of this work is on improvement of torque and speed control algorithm of a five-phase PMsM. Traditional linear controllers are not capable to cope with these disturbances as well as nonlinear ones. This research proposes an enchained PI controller for the current loop, and a sliding mode control(sMC) based controller with a disturbance observer for the speed control *** proposed enchained PI controller for the current loop has a showed smaller settling time of q-axis current, that of traditional PI controller without occurrence of the overshoot. The proposed sMC for the speed control loop has a simple and robust structure, in pair with disturbance observer it guarantees fast converge of real speed to the reference. There is no overshoot in the response and motor's speed is kept stable even in the presence of certain load disturbances, which are inherent property for this type of *** verify the proposed control algorithms a set of simulations and experiments were carried out. The experimental five-phase PMsM drive was realized based on FPGA/DsC high speed integrated circuits.

Notes on the family Brassicaceae in China

A critical revision of the collections of Brassicaceae in some Chinese (PE, XJA, XJBI, XJFA, XJNM, XJU) and foreign (LE, P) herbaria is made. One genus, Neurotropis (DC.) F. K. Mey., and 11 species, Alyssum szarabiacum Nyár., Barbarea stricta Andrz., Erysimum czernjajevii N. Busch, Erysimum kotuchovii D. German, Erysimum mongolicum D. German, Lepidium karelinianum Al-shehbaz, Matthiola superba Conti, Neurotropis platycarpa (Fisch. & Mey.) F. K. Mey., Ptilotrichum dahuricum Peschkova, sisymbrium subspinescens Bunge, and smelowskia micrantha (Botsch. & Vved.) Al-shehbaz & s. I. Warwick, are reported from China for the first time. six species, Aphragmus involucratus (Bunge) O. E. schulz, Dontostemon perennis C. A. Mey., Goldbachia torulosa DC., Lepidium amplexicaule Willd., Neotorularia brevipes (Kar. & Kir.) Hedge & J. Léonard, and Parrya stenocarpa Kar. & Kir., are confirmed to occurr in China. Five species, Dontostemon integrifolius (L.) C. A. Mey., Draba zangbeiensis L. L. Lou, Lepidium alashanicum H. L. Yang, sinapis arvensis L., and strigosella brevipes (Bunge) Botsch., are reported as novelties for some provinces in China, and strigosella hispida (Litv.) Botsch. occurs in Xinjiang, China. However, the occurrence of one genus, Pseudoarabidopsis Al-shehbaz, O’Kane & Price, and four species, Draba huetii Boiss., Eutrema halophilum (C. A. Mey.) Al-shehbaz & s. I. Warwick, Galitzkya spathulata (steph. ex Willd.) V. Bocz., and Pseudoarabidopsis toxophylla (Bieb.) Al-shehbaz, O’Kane & Price, could not be confirmed in China. The occurrence of six species, Aphragmus bouffordii Al-shehbaz, Barbarea orthoceras Ledeb., Lepidium latifolium L., Ptilotrichum canescens (DC.) C. A. Mey., strigosella hispida (Litv.) Botsch., and strigosella scorpioides (Bunge) Botsch., is not confirmed in certain provinces of China. Thienopyrazine or Dithiadiazatrindene Containing Low Band Gap Conjugated Polymers for Polymer solar Cells

Four new low-band-gap alternating copolymers （P-1, P-2, P-3 and P-4） based on electron-rich benzodithiophene and newly developed electron-deficient units, thienopyrazine or dithiadiazatrindene derivatives, were synthesized by stille polycondensation. All polymers exhibit good solubility in common organic solvents and a broad absorption band in the visible to near-infrared regions. The film optical band gaps of the polymers are in the range of 1.28-2.07 eV and the highest occupied molecular orbital （HOMO） energy levels are in the range of-4.99 eV to -5.28 eV. Bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells （PsCs） of the polymers were fabricated with phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester （PC61BM） as acceptor material, and a power conversion efficiency of 0.80% was realized with P-1 as donor material.

International recognition of the Ilizarov bone reconstruction techniques: Current practice and research (dedicated to 100th birthday of G. A. Ilizarov)

The Ilizarov method is one of the current methods used in bone *** originated in the middle of the past century and comprises a number of bone reconstruction techniques executed with a ring external fixator developed by Ilizarov *** main merits are viable new bone formation through distraction osteogenesis,high union rates and functional use of the limb throughout the course of *** study of the phenomenon of distraction osteogenesis induced by tension stress with the Ilizarov apparatus was the impetus for advancement in bone reconstruction *** then,the original method has been used along with a number of its modifications developed due to emergence of new fixation devices and techniques of their application such as hexapod external fixators and motorized intramedullary lengthening *** gave rise to a relatively new orthopedic subspecialty termed“limb lengthening and reconstruction surgery”.Based on a comprehensive literature search,we summarized the recent clinical practice and research in bone reconstruction by the Ilizarov method with a special focus on its modification and recognition by the world orthopedic *** international influence of the Ilizarov method was reviewed in regard to the origin country of the authors and journal’s *** Ilizarov method and other techniques based on distraction osteogenesis have been used in many countries and on all populated *** proves its international significance and confirms the greatest contribution of Ilizarov GA to bone reconstruction surgery.
