We utilized controlled vertical drying deposition (CVDD) method,which can fabricate a uniform face-center-cubic (FCC) structure film,to investigate the crack formation and the size dependence of shear modulus in a drying particulate *** found that both crack spacing and shear modulus depend on colloidal particle *** drop with increase of particle radius (R) in a single ***,compared with the shear modulus variation of a dry particulate film,it was found that both solid part and liquid part in a drying particulate film play equivalent roles in the film mechanical behavior.

Super-resolution (SR) techniques, which are based on single or multi-frame low-resolution (LR) images, have been extensively investigated in the last two decades. Mixed-resolution multiview video format plays an important role in three-dimensional television (3DTV) coding scheme. Previous work considers multiview or multi-camera images and videos at the same resolution, which performs well under the planar model without or with little projection error among the videos captured by different cameras. In recent years, several researchers have discussed the SR problem in mixed-resolution multi-view video format, where the superresolved image is created using the up-sampled version of the LR image and the high frequency components extracted from the warped image in the adjacent high-resolution (HR) views. Unfortunately, the output HR images suffer from artifacts caused by depth error. To obtain the detailed texture and edge information from the HR image as much as possible, while preserving the structure of the LR image, a novel SR reconstruction algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is composed of three components: the structure term, the detail information term, and the regularization term. The first term preserves the structure similarity of the LR image; the second term extracts detailed information from the adjacent HR image; and the last term ensures the uniqueness of the solution. Experimental results show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithm, which achieves high performance both subjectively and objectively. © 2016 Beijing Institute of Aerospace Information.

An environmentally friendly method for extracting sulfonamides（SAs） residues from animal feed was described and applied. The method used online microwave-assisted steam extraction coupled with solid phase extraction（MASE-SPE）, which was followed by the analysis using high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectro- metry（HPLC-MS/MS）. The SAs residues were extracted successively with water steam under microwave irradiation, and thus directly introduced into an SPE colunm containing cation-exchange resin. The SAs were then eluted with methanol-ammonia（90：10, volume ratio） from the SPE column and followed by HPLC-MS/IVIS. The limits of detec- tion（LODs） for the analytes ranged from 0.24 ng/g to 0.49 ng/g. The limits of quantification（LOQs） ranged from 0.82 ng/g to 1.63 ng/g. Average recoveries of SAs were 76.3%--92.1%. The developed method was a reliable and envi-ronmentally friendly alternative to previous methods with respect to time, solvent and labor consumption for the analysis of SAs in animal foodstuffs.

We theoretically propose a scheme to realize the dynamic control of the properties of the terahertz（THz） rainbow trapping effect（RTE） based on a silicon-filled graded grating（SFGG） in a relatively broad band via optical *** the theoretical analysis and finite-element method simulations, it is conceptually demonstrated that the band of the RTE can be dynamically tuned in a range of -0.06 THz. Furthermore, the SFGG can also be optically switched between a device for the RTE and a waveguide for releasing the trapped waves. The results obtained here may imply applications for the tunable THz plasmonic devices, such as on-chip optical buffers, broad band slow-light systems, and integrated optical filters.

A rapid analytical method was first developed to detect organophosphorus pesticides(OPPs)in cereals,which used dynamic microwave assisted extraction(DMAE)coupled online with a modified quick,easy,cheap,effective,rugged,and safe(QuEChERS)*** samples were mixed with a certain amount of quartz,Ci8 and the primary second amine(PSA),and extracted successively with the acetonitrile-water solution(80%,VIV)under microwave *** obtained eluate was directly introduced into a collection tube containing NaCl and ***,the supemate was evaporated and reconstructed,and determined by gas chromatographic *** factors affecting the experimental results were studied and *** extraction and purification processes were carried out coinstantaneously and 12 samples could be treated in one step in 4 *** limits of tection(0.43—1.31 p.g/kg)for OPPs were obtained in *** relative standard deviations(RSDs)were 2.1%—9.3%.The recoveries of OPPs ranged from 76.1%to 100.2%.By combining the advantages of DMAE with QuEChERS,the sample pretreatment process was simple to operate,with little amount of organic *** whole extraction process was completed in a closed environment,therefore it was very appropriate for daily analysis of OPPs in cereals.

In order to increase the performance of horizontal tidal turbines, a multi-objective optimization model was proposed in this study. Firstly, the prediction model for horizontal tidal turbines was built, which coupled the blade element momentum (BEM) theory and the CFD calculation. Secondly, a multi-objective optimization method coupled the response surface method (RSM) with the multi-objective genetic algorithm NSGA-II was applied to obtain the optimal blade profiles. The pitch angle and the chord length distribution were chosen as the design variables, while the mean power coefficient and the variance of power coefficient were chosen as the objective functions. With the mean power coefficient improved by 4.1% and the variance of power coefficient decreased by 46.7%, results showed that both objective functions could be improved.

Sophorae Flavescentis Radix(Sophora flavescens Ait., SFR) and Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix et Rhizoma(S. tonkinensis Gapnep., STR) are two commonly used traditional Chinese medicines from Sophora(Leguminosae) plants, which are believed to possess similar bioactive components with entirely different clinical applications. In order to find out the characteristic chemical constituents potentially leading to the unique medicinal properties claimed for each of the two closely related TCMs, an HPLC fingerprint method was developed for analyses of the alkaloid and flavonoid constituents of SFR and STR, respectively, which were further evaluated and compared through similarity calculation and hierarchical clustering analysis(HCA). The results from the present study showed that the alkaloid fingerprints of the two herbs were similar, with many components co-existing in both drugs and various batches of samples from different species being mixed together in the HCA dendrogram. However, their flavonoid constituents were totally different with specific fingerprints being yielded for each herb, and further HCA analysis showed that the tested samples could almost be clearly divided into two groups based on their origins of species. The results from the present study indicated that the flavonoid constituents could serve as the differentially diagnostic constituents of SFR and STR and might potentially attributed to their distinct therapeutic effects.

Rapid Extraction and Analysis of Essential Oil from Cinnamomum Cassia Presl.

An improved solvent-free microwave extraction（ISFME） was used for the extraction of essential oil from dried Cinnamomum cassia Presl. Two kinds of solid microwave absorption media[carbonyl iron powder（CIP） and graphite powder（GP）] were used. When ISFME was applied, the heating rate was enhanced and the extraction time was obviously shorter than that consumed in conventional solvent-free microwave extraction（CSFME）. Twenty-eight kinds of compounds in the essential oil were identified, and the total content fractions of the compounds obtained by CIP-ISFME, GP-ISFME, CSFME, and hydrodistillation（HD） were 96.65%, 96.06%, 97.22%, and 96.29%, respectively. The compounds in the essential oil obtained from Cinnamomum cassia Presl. by ISFME, CSFME, and HD were compared and the quantity of the essential oil was almost the same. The ISFME has been proved to be a feasible way to extract essential oil from dried samples, and there are several obvious advantages in ISFME over those of HD and CSFME, for example, shorter extraction time（30 min） and lower energy consumption.
