Straw return influences the structure and functioning of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal community in a rice-wheat rotation system

Straw return is a sustainable soil fertility-building practice,which can affect soil microbial ***,how straw return affects arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)is not well ***,we studied the impacts of different straw management treatments over eight years on the structure and functioning of AMF communities in a rice-wheat rotation *** straw management treatments included no tillage with no straw(NTNS),rotary tillage straw return(RTSR),and ditch-buried straw return(DBSR).The community structure of AMF was characterized using high-throughput sequencing,and the mycorrhizal functioning was quantified using an in situ mycorrhizal-suppression *** straw management treatments formed unique AMF community structure,which was closely related to changes in soil total organic carbon,available phosphorus,total nitrogen,ammonium,and *** compared with NTNS,RTSR significantly increased Shannon diversity in 0–10 cm soil layer,while DBSR increased it in 10–20 cm soil layer;DBSR significantly increased hyphal length density in the whole ploughing layer(0–20 cm),but RTSR only increased it in the subsurface soil layer(10–20 cm).The mycorrhizal responses of shoot biomass and nutrient(N and P)uptake were positive under both straw return treatments(RTSR and DBSR),but negative under *** community composition of AMF was significantly correlated to hyphal length density,and the latter was further a positive predictor for the mycorrhizal responses of plant growth and nutrient *** findings suggest that straw return can affect AMF community structure and functioning,and farmers should manage mycorrhizas to strengthen their beneficial effects on crop production.

The article presents a miniaturized monopole antenna dedicated to modern flexible electronic *** antenna combines three fundamental properties in a single ***,it is characterized by a compact size compared to the state-of-the-art literature with an overall size of 18×18×0.254 mm3,secondly,the proposed antenna integrates the reconfigurability function of frequency,produced by means of a Positive-IntrinsicNegative(PIN)diode introduced into the radiating ***,the antenna is able to switch between different frequencies and different modes,making it suitable to meet the ever-changing demands of communication ***,the antenna is equipped by the property of *** fact,a conformability test is performed and has demonstrated the stability of the antenna performance under normal and bending ***,in order to demonstrate the potential of the proposed antenna,a comparison between the simulated and measured results is made and turned out to be a strong agreement,making the antenna an excellent candidate for future miniaturized rigid and conformal devices.

Verification of Substring Searches on the Untrusted Cloud

Ensuring the correctness of answers to substring queries has not been a concern for consumers working within the traditional confines of their own organisational infrastructure. This is due to the fact that organisations generally trust their handling of their own data hosted on their own servers and networks. With cloud computing however, where both data and processing are delegated to unknown servers, guarantees of the correctness of queries need to be available. The verification of the results of substring searches has not been given much focus to date within the wider scope of data and query, verification. We present a verification scheme for existential substring searc, hes on text files, which is the first of its kind to satisfy the desired properties of authenticity, completeness, and freshness. The scheme is based on suffix arrays, Merkle hash trees and cryptographic hashes to provide strong guarantees of correctness for the consumer, even in fully untrusted environments. We provide a description of our scheme, along with the results of experiments conducted on a fully-working prototype.

Stochastic optimal control for norovirus transmission dynamics by contaminated food and water

Norovirus is one of the most common causes of viral gastroenteritis in the world,causing significant morbidity,deaths,and medical *** this work,we look at stochastic modelling methodologies for norovirus transmission by water,human to human transmission and *** begin,the proposed stochastic model is shown to have a single global positive ***,we demonstrate adequate criteria for the existence of a unique ergodic stationary distribution R0 s>1 by developing a Lyapunov ***,we find sufficient criteria Rsding chronic communicable diseases around the *** approach also focuses on offering a way of generating Lyapunov functions that can be utilized to investigate the stationary distribution of epidemic models with nonlinear stochastic disturbances.

Peach-like ZnO microstructures are synthesized using vapor phase transport on MgO(001)substrates with a copper oxide(60 nm)buffer *** structure and morphology of the product are investigated using an x-ray diffractometer(XRD)and a field-emission scanning electron *** peaches have an average diameter of 3μm and a wurtzite *** study the optical properties,photoluminescence(PL)and Raman spectroscopy are employed.A strong UV emission at 380 nm in the PL spectra is observed,and a sharp and dominant peak at 437 cm^(-1) in the Raman spectrum can be assigned to the good crystallization of obtained *** addition,the growth mechanism of the peach-like ZnO structure is tentatively investigated based on the EDX analysis and growth time.

Revalorization of CO2 for methanol production via ZnO promoted carbon nanofibers based Cu-ZrO2 catalytic hydrogenation

A series of novel carbon nanofibers(CNFs)based Cu-ZrO2 catalysts were synthesized by deposition precipitation *** investigate the influence of promoter,catalysts were loaded with 1,2,3 and 4 wt%ZnO and characterized by ICP-OES,HRTEM,BET,N2O chemisorption,TPR,XPS and CO2-TPD *** results revealed that physicochemical properties of the catalysts were strongly influenced by incorporation of ZnO to the parent *** surface area(SCu)and dispersion(DCu)were slightly decreased by incorporation of ZnO ***,SCuand DCuwere remarkably decreased when ZnO content was exceeded beyond 3 wt%.The catalytic performance was evaluated by using autoclave slurry reactor at a pressure and temperature of 30 bar and 180℃,*** promotion of CuZrO2/CNFs catalyst with 3 wt%of ZnO enhanced methanol synthesis rate from 32 to 45 g kg^-1 h^-***,with the ZnO promotion the selectivity to methanol was enhanced to 92%compared to 78%of the un-promoted Cu-ZrO2/CNFs catalyst at the expense of a lowered CO2 *** addition,the catalytic activity of this novel catalyst system for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol was compared with the recent literature data.

The mixed micelle formation of binary cationic 14-s-14 gemini with conventional single chain surfactants was studied by conductivity *** critical micelle concentration(cmc) and the degree of counterion binding values(g) of the binary systems were *** results were analyzed by applying regular solution theory(RST) to calculate micellar compositions(X),activity coefficients(f1,f2),and the interaction parameters(β).The synergistic interactions of all the investigated cationic gemini+conventional surfactant combinations were found to be dependent upon the length of hydrophobic spacer of the gemini *** excess Gibbs free energy of mixing was evaluated,and it indicated relatively more stable mixed micelles for the binary combinations.

Nitrides MAX have attracted ever-growing interest owing to its unique metallic and ceramic characteristics and ***,we report on the synthesis of highly purified Ti_(2)AlN and Ti_(4)AlN_(3) powders from Ti,Al and TiN powders by a facile atmosphere sintering *** obtained nitrides show highly pure phase and excellent layered *** for the composition difference of raw materials,both the nitrides can be sintered and obtained by same sintering temperature and holding time,which thus makes less processing time and less usage of synthesis parameters as compared to previously synthesis *** our knowledge,present work is one of the few reports on synthesis of Ti_(4)AlN_(3) and Ti_(2)AlN using atmosphere sintering ***,the lattice changes of the layered structure of Ti_(2)AlX(X/C=N)were studied by changing the composition of X position from the synthesis of Ti_(2)AlCN and Ti_(2)AlC,and the optimal formulation and synthesis mechanism of Ti_(4)AlN_(3) were also studied.
