The energy revolution requires coordination in energy consumption, supply, storage and institutional *** energy generation technologies, along with their associated costs, are already fully equipped for large-scale ***, energy storage remains a bottleneck, and solutions areneeded through the use of electric vehicles, which traditionallyplay the role of energy consumption in power systems. Toclarify the key technologies and institutions that support EVsas terminals for energy use, storage, and feedback, the cSEEJPES forum assembled renowned experts and scholars in relevantfields to deliver keynote reports and engage in discussions ontopics such as vehicle–grid integration technology, advancedsolid-state battery technology, high-performance electric motortechnology, and institutional innovation in the industry *** experts also provided prospects for energy storage andutilization technologies capable of decarbonizing new powersystems.

A boundary mode localized on one side of a finite-size lattice can tunnel to the opposite side which results in unwanted *** wisdom tells that the tunneling probability decays exponentially with the size of the system which thus requires many lattice sites before eventually becoming negligibly *** we show that the tunneling probability for some boundary modes can apparently vanish at specific ***,similar to bound states in the continuum,a boundary mode can be completely trapped within very few lattice sites where the bulk bandgap is not even *** intriguingly,the number of trapped states equals the number of lattice sites along the normal direction of the *** provide two configurations and validate the existence of this peculiar finite barrier-bound state experimentally in a dielectric photonic crystal at microwave *** work offers extreme flexibility in tuning the coupling between localized states and channels as well as a new mechanism that facilitates unprecedented manipulation of light.

construction of a High‑Performance composite Solid Electrolyte Through In‑Situ Polymerization within a Self‑Supported Porous Garnet Framework

composite solid electrolytes(cSEs)have emerged as promising candidates for safe and high-energy–density solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs).However,concurrently achieving exceptional ionic conductivity and interface compatibility between the electrolyte and electrode presents a significant challenge in the development of high-performance cSEs for *** overcome these challenges,we present a method involving the in-situ polymerization of a monomer within a self-supported porous Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZT)to produce the *** synergy of the continuous conductive LLZT network,well-organized polymer,and their interface can enhance the ionic conductivity of the cSE at room ***,the in-situ polymerization process can also con-struct the integration and compatibility of the solid electrolyte–solid electrode *** synthesized cSE exhibited a high ionic conductivity of 1.117 mS cm^(-1),a significant lithium transference number of 0.627,and exhibited electrochemical stability up to 5.06 V ***/Li+at 30℃.Moreover,the Li|cSE|LiNi_(0.8)co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) cell delivered a discharge capacity of 105.1 mAh g^(-1) after 400 cycles at 0.5 c and 30℃,corresponding to a capacity retention of 61%.This methodology could be extended to a variety of ceramic,polymer electrolytes,or battery systems,thereby offering a viable strategy to improve the electrochemical properties of cSEs for high-energy–density SSLMBs.

Origin and therapy for hypertriglyceridaemia in type 2 diabetes

Hypertriglyceridaemia(HTG) is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease(cVD) in type 2 diabetes and is caused by the interaction of genes and non-genetic factors, specifically poor glycaemic control and obesity. In spite of statin treatment, residual risk of cVD remains high in type 2 diabetes, and this may relate to HTG and atherogenic dyslipidemia. Treatment of HTG emphasises correcting secondary factors and adverse lifestyles, in particular, diet and exercise. Pharmacotherapy is also required in most type 2 diabetic patients. Statins are the first-line therapy to achieve recommended therapeutic targets of plasma low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Fibrates, ezetimibe and n-3 fatty acids are adjunctive treatment options for residual and persistent HTG. Evidence for the use of niacin has been challenged by non-significant cVD outcomes in two recent large clinical trials. Further investigation is required to clarify the use of incretin-based therapies for HTG in type 2 diabetes. Extreme HTG, with risk of pancreatitis, may require insulin infusion therapy or *** therapies targeting HTG in diabetes need to be tested in clinical endpoint trials. The purpose of this review is to examine the current evidence and provide practical guidance on the management of HTG in type 2 diabetes.

color and Gloss changes of a Lignin-Based Polyurethane coating under Accelerated Weathering

The purpose of this research study was to investigate the properties of polyurethane coatings based on lignin *** this purpose,the prepared coatings were applied to pine wood surfaces and weathered ***,color and gloss of the coatings were measured before and after the weathering *** emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)micrographs prepared from the coatings showed that the average size of nano-particles in the polyurethane substrate was approximately 500 *** magnetic resonance(13c-NMR)spectroscopy showed that strong urethane bonds were formed in the nano-lignin-based *** calorimetric analysis(DSc)test revealed that the glass-transition temperature(Tg)of lignin nanoparticles modified with diethylenetriamine(DETA)was 112.8℃ and Tg of lignin nano-particles modified with ethylenediamine(EDA)was 102.5℃,which is lower than the Tg of un-modified lignin(114.6℃)and lignin modified with DETA(126.8℃)and lignin modified with EDA(131.3℃).The coatings modified with lignin nano-particles had a greater change in *** lignin nano-particles in the modified coating are trapping hydroxyl radicals which reduces photoactivity and yellowing of the polyurethane by about 3 times compared to unmodified polyurethane *** weathering test,the nano-lignin-based coating had a rougher surface with a lower contact angle(0.78°)compared to the unmodified polyurethane coating(0.85°).

To the Editor : Barcelona clinic Liver cancer(BcLc) Stage c hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc) with vascular invasion has been considered unresectable. However, the curative rate from systemic treatment is rather dismal. Even with the use of immunotherapy, complete remission is less than 10% [ 1 ]. On the contrary, recent advances in transplant oncology, especially in the application of liver transplant-related surgical techniques in complex liver resections, make the operation possible for patients with locally advanced Hcc who were previously considered to be unresectable [ 2 ]. We hereby present the surgical management of a patient with giant Hcc in right liver lobe with inferior vena cava(IVc) invasion.

As big data,Artificial Intelligence,and Vehicle-to-Everything(V2X)communication have advanced,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS)are being developed to enable efficient and safe transportation *** Toll collection(ETc),which is one of the services included in ITS systems,is an automated system that allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping for manual *** ETc system is widely deployed on highways due to its contribution to stabilizing the overall traffic system *** ensure secure and efficient toll payments,designing a distributed model for sharing toll payment information among untrusted toll service providers is ***,the current ETc system operates under a centralized ***,both toll service providers and toll plazas know the toll usage history of *** raises concerns about revealing the entire driving routes and patterns of *** address these issues,blockchain technology,suitable for secure data management and data sharing in distributed systems,is being applied to the ETc *** enables efficient and transparent management of ETc ***,the public nature of blockchain poses a challenge where users’usage records are exposed to all *** tackle this,we propose a blockchain-based toll ticket model named AnonymousTollPass that considers the privacy of *** proposed model utilizes traceable ring signatures to provide unlinkability between tickets used by a vehicle and prevent the identity of the vehicle using the ticket from being identified among the ring members for the ***,malicious vehicles’identities can be traced when they attempt to reuse *** conducting simulations,we show the effectiveness of the proposed model and demonstrate that gas fees required for executing the proposed smart contracts are only 10%(when the ring size is 50)of the fees required in previous studies.

Dual in-situ observation of tribochemical and morphological evolution of single-layer WS_(2)and multi-layer WS_(2)/c coatings

The outstanding tribological performance of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)is attributed to their unique sandwich microstructure and low interlayer shear *** advantageous structure allows TMDs to demonstrate exceptional friction reduction ***,the incorporation of TMDs and amorphous carbon(a-c)in multi-layer structures shows excellent potential for further enhancing tribological and anti-oxidation *** carbon,known for its high ductility,chemical inertness,and excellent wear resistance,significantly contributes to the overall performance of these multi-layer *** gain an in-depth understanding of the tribological mechanism and evolution of TMDs’multi-layer coatings,a dual in-situ analysis was carried out using a tribometer equipped with a 3D laser microscope and a Raman *** innovative approach allowed for a comprehensive evolution of the tribological,topographical,and tribochemical characteristics of both single-layer WS_(2)and multi-layer WS_(2)/c coatings in real *** findings from the dual in-situ tribotest revealed distinct failure characteristics between the single-layer WS_(2)coating and the multi-layer WS_(2)/c *** single-layer WS_(2)coating predominantly experienced failure due to mechanical removal,whereas a combination of mechanical removal and tribochemistry primarily influenced the failure of the multi-layer WS_(2)/c *** tribological evolution process of these two coatings can be classified into four stages on the basis of their tribological behavior:the running-in stage,stable friction stage,re-deposition stage,and lubrication failure *** stage represents a distinct phase in the tribological behavior of the coatings and contributes to our understanding of their behavior during sliding.

The SARS-coV-2 Omicron variants are notorious for their transmissibility,but little is known about their subgenomic RNA(sgRNA)*** study applied RNA-seq to delineate the quantitative and qualitative profiles of canonical sgRNA of 118 respiratory samples collected from patients infected with Omicron BA.2 and compared with 338 patients infected with non-variant of concern(non-VOc)-D614G.A unique characteristic profile depicted by the relative abundance of 9 canonical sgRNAs was reproduced by both BA.2 and non-VOcD614G regardless of host gender,age and presence of ***,such profile was lost in samples with low viral load,suggesting a potential application of sgRNA pattern to indicate viral activity of individual patient at a specific time point.A characteristic qualitative profile of canonical sgRNAs was also reproduced by both BA.2 and *** presence of a full set of canonical sgRNAs carried a coherent correlation with crude viral load(AUc¼0.91,95%cI 0.88–0.94),and sgRNA ORF7b was identified to be the best surrogate marker allowing feasible routine application in characterizing the infection status of individual *** potentials in using sgRNA as a target for vaccine and antiviral development are worth pursuing.
