Plasma as the fourth state of matter has attracted great attention for material surface modification,which could induce changes in material microscopic factors,such as defects,phase transitions,crystallinity,and so ***,the interactions among those microscopic factors and regulation mechanism of macroscopic properties have rarely been ***-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenide with tunable structure and phase is one of the most promising electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbers,which provides a favorable platform for systematically studying the dynamic coupling of its microscopic ***,we constructed a NaBH_(4) solution-assisted Ar plasma method to modify the 2H-MoS_(2)and 1T-WS_(2)for exploring the regulation mechanism of microscopic *** MoS_(2)and WS_(2),NaBH_(4) solution-assisted Ar plasma treatment behaves with different effects on dielectric responses,realizing dynamic coupling of material microscopic factors to collaboratively promote EM losses ***,the MS-D3-0.5(MoS_(2),3 kV voltage,0.5 mol L^(-1)NaBH_(4) solution)displays an optimum effective absorption bandwidth of 8.01 GHz,which is 319.4%more than that of MS-raw *** study not only reveals the novel mechanism of plasma induced dynamic coupling of microscopic factors for EMW dissipation,but also presents a new method of plasma-dominated surface modification to optimize the EMW absorption performance.

Carbon nanotube enhanced water-based drilling fluid for high temperature and high salinity deep resource development

Drilling fluids face failure during drilling deep reservoir with high temperature and high *** experimental results show that high temperature and salinity reduce the negative charge on the surface of bentonite in the drilling fluid and cause the coalescence of bentonite *** a result,the particles coalesce,the grid structure is destroyed,and the rheological properties,rock-carrying capacity and filtration properties are *** resolve the foregoing,in this study,0.05-wt%carbon nanotubes are introduced into a 4%bentonite drilling fluid under conditions where the temperature and concentration of added Na Cl reach 180°C and 10 wt%,*** carbon nanotubes adsorb on the bentonite surface and increase the space among bentonite *** steric hindrance prevents the coalescence of bentonite in high temperature and high salt *** bentonite maintains the small size distribution of bentonite and supports the bentonite grid structure in the drilling *** a result,the rock-carrying capacity of the drilling fluid increases by 85.1%.Moreover,the mud cake formed by the accumulation of small-sized bentonite particles is dense;consequently,the filtration of bentonite drilling fluid reduced by 30.2%.

Cloning of a novel gene associated with human nasopharyngeal carcinoma

One EST N27741 with high expression in normal adult nasopharynx tissues but low expression in adult poorly differentiated squamous nasopharyngeal carcinoma has been selected out by the high-density cDNA array expression profiling technique. The differential expression has been confirmed by RT-PCR. One novel gene of 1096 bp has been cloned based on this EST. Bioinformatics analysis found that the new gene sequence contains a whole reading frame encoding 256 amino acids. There is a stop codon TAA in front of the 5’ end start codon, and a tailing signal AATAAA and poly A tail at the 3’ end. There is no homologous known gene found after searching by blasting this sequence to non-redundancy nucleotide database. Therefore it is considered a novel gene related to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

对2005年7月21日发生在广州白云机场的一次低空风切变飞行事件进行分析,发现此次过程是由超级单体风暴云产生的下击暴流和阵风锋造成的。利用机场实时的多普勒气象雷达和地面自动观测资料定量计算出风切变的大小,从而确定风切变和飞机颠簸的强度等级。并通过与飞行数据作检验分析,证实在广州白云机场现有的条件下,设计出的风切变预警方法是基本可行的。

Can visceral fat parameters based on computed tomography be used to predict occult peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer?

BACKGROUND The preoperative prediction of peritoneal metastasis(PM)in gastric cancer would prevent unnecessary surgery and promptly indicate an appropriate treatment *** To explore the predictive value of visceral fat(VF)parameters obtained from preoperative computed tomography(CT)images for occult PM and to develop an individualized model for predicting occult PM in patients with gastric carcinoma(GC).METHODS A total of 128 confirmed GC cases(84 male and 44 female patients)that underwent CT scans were analyzed and categorized into PM-positive(n=43)and PM-negative(n=85)*** clinical characteristics and VF parameters of two regions of interest(ROIs)were *** and stratified analyses based on VF volume were performed to screen for predictive characteristics for occult *** models with and without VF parameters were established by multivariable logistic regression *** The mean attenuations of VF_(ROI 1)and VF_(ROI 2)varied significantly between the PM-positive and PMnegative groups(P=0.044 and 0.001,respectively).The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves(AUCs)of VF_(ROI 1)and VF_(ROI 2)were 0.599 and 0.657,*** mean attenuation of VF_(ROI 2)was included in the final prediction combined model,but not an independent risk factor of PM(P=0.068).No significant difference was observed between the models with and without mean attenuation of VF(AUC:0.749 vs 0.730,P=0.339).CONCLUSION The mean attenuation of VF is a potential auxiliary parameter for predicting occult PM in patients with GC.

Predictive factors for lymph node metastasis and defining a subgroup treatable for laparoscopic lymph node dissection after endoscopic submucosal dissection in poorly differentiated early gastric cancer

AIM To investigate the predictive factors of lymph node metastasis(LNM)in poorly differentiated early gastric cancer(EGC);to guide the individual application of a combination of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)and laparoscopic lymph node dissection(LLND)in a suitable subgroup of patients with poorly differentiated *** We retrospectively analyzed 138 patients with poorly differentiated EGC who underwent gastrectomy with lymphadenectomy between January 1990 and December *** association between the clinicopathological factors and the presence of LNM was retrospectively analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression *** ratios(OR)with 95%confidence interval(95%CI)were *** further examined the relationship between the positive number of the significant predictive factors and the LNM *** The tumor diameter(OR=13.438,95%CI:1.773-25.673,P=0.029),lymphatic vessel involvement(LVI)(OR=38.521,95%CI:1.975-68.212,P=0.015)and depth of invasion(OR=14.981,95%CI:1.617-52.844,P=0.024)were found to be independent risk factors for LNM by multivariate *** the 138 patients diagnosed with poorly differentiated EGC,21(15.2%)had *** patients with one,two and three of the risk factors,the LNM rates were 7.7%,47.6%and 64.3%,*** was not found in 77 patients that did not have one or more of the three risk *** ESD might be sufficient treatment for intramucosal poorly differentiated EGC if the tumor is less than or equal to2 cm in size and when LVI is absent upon postoperative histological *** with LLND may lead to the elimination of unnecessary gastrectomy in poorly differentiated EGC.

Endoscopy-assisted vitrectomy for severe ocular penetrating trauma with corneal opacity

AIM:To assess the utility and efficiency of endoscopyassisted vitrectomy(EAV)for the treatment of corneal opacity in severe ocular ***:Patients who underwent fundus examination using a preoperative slit lamp and intraoperative endoscopy,followed by EAV and additional surgery were retrospectively *** oil removal and penetrating keratoplasty were used in selected eyes at postoperative *** measurements included the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure(IOP),findings of endoscopic fundus examination,and postoperative ***:Twenty-one eyes with severe ocular trauma and corneal opacity were followed up for *** detachment(RD)and vitreous haemorrhage(VH)were identified in 16 eyes(76.2%),RD only in four eyes(19.0%),and VH combined with intraocular foreign body in one eye(4.8%).All eyes underwent at least three ***-Ⅰ surgeries involved wound closure(100%),lens extraction(76.2%),and anterior vitrectomy(14.3%).Stage-Ⅱ surgeries involved scleral buckling(28.6%),membrane peeling(47.6%),retinal laser photocoagulation(100%)and silicone oil tamponade(100%)using ***-Ⅲ surgeries were conducted using endoscopy including silicone oil removal(52.4%),retinal laser photocoagulation(52.4%)and penetrating keratoplasty(28.6%).Nearly all eyes showed improvements in BCVA and *** there were no severe complications,glaucoma was noted in one eye,chronic hypotony in another eye,and band keratopathy in three ***:EAV is an effective adjunct for restoring ocular anatomical structures and visual function in the case of corneal opacity after severe ocular trauma.

Gastric cancer(GC)is defined as the primary epithelial malignancy derived from the stomach,and it is a complicated and heterogeneous disease with multiple risk *** its overall declining trend of incidence and mortality in various countries over the past few decades,GC remains the fifth most common malignancy and the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death *** the global burden of GC has shown a significant downward trend,it remains severe in certain areas,such as *** ranks third in incidence and mortality among all cancer types in China,and it accounts for nearly 44.0%and 48.6%of new GC cases and GC-related deaths in the world,*** regional differences in GC incidence and mortality are obvious,and annual new cases and deaths are increasing rapidly in some developing ***,early preventive and screening strategies for GC are urgently *** clinical efficacies of conventional treatments for GC are limited,and the developing understanding of GC pathogenesis has increased the demand for new therapeutic regimens,including immune checkpoint inhibitors,cell immunotherapy and cancer *** present review describes the epidemiology of GC worldwide,especially in China,summarizes its risk and prognostic factors,and focuses on novel immunotherapies to develop therapeutic strategies for the management of GC patients.
