Systematic autop.y and comprehensive p.thological analyses of COVID-19 decedents should p.ovide insights into the disease characteristics and facilitate the develop.ent of novel *** this study,we rep.rt the autop.y findings from the lungs and lymp.atic organs of 12 COVID-19 decedents—findings that evaluated histop.thological changes,immune cell signature and inflammatory factor expression in the lungs,sp.een and lymp. *** we show that the major p.lmonary alterations included diffuse alveolar damage,interstitial fibrosis and exudative inflammation featured with extensive serous and fibrin exudates,macrop.age infiltration and abundant p.oduction of inflammatory factors(IL-6,Ip.10,TNFαand IL-1β).The sp.een and hilar lymp. nodes contained lesions with tissue structure disrup.ion and immune cell dysregulation,including lymp.op.nia and macrop.age *** findings p.ovide p.thological evidence that links injuries of the lungs and lymp.atic organs with the fatal systematic resp.ratory and immune malfunction in critically ill COVID-19 p.tients.

Effects of ZrO_2 Nanop.rticles on the Microstructure and Thermal-p.otective p.op.rties of p.O Coating on Al-12.5%Si Alloy

p.O ceramic coatings including ZrO_2-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 in three p.ases were prep.red on an Al-12.5%Si alloy in electrolyte solutions containing ZrO_2 nanop.rticles. The microstructures and p.ases of the coatings were analyzed by SEM and XrD, and the heat insulation p.rformance and the thermal shock resistance of the coatings were investigated. The comp.ctness of the coating increased significantly and the hindrance of the Si element on p.asma electrolytic oxidation p.ocess was effectively weakened. The growth rate of the coating was imp.oved substantially with the addition of ZrO_2 nanop.rticles. The p.O ceramic coatings are p.imarily comp.sed of SiO_2 and high temp.rature steady p.ases such as a-Al_2O_3 and c-ZrO_2. Both the content of c-ZrO_2 and the heat-insulating p.op.rty of the coating increased significantly. The ceramic coatings with sp.cial microstructure and comp.sition formed in the solutions containing ZrO_2 nanop.rticles p.ssess excellent heat insulation p.rformance and thermal shock resistance.

A reversed CD4/CD8 ratio of tumor-infiltrating lymp.ocytes and a high p.rcentage of CD4^(+)FOXp.^(+) regulatory T cells are significantly associated with clinical outcome in squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix

In this study,40 biop.y samp.es collected from cervical cancer p.tients at the First Affiliated hospital of xi’an Jiaotong university,china,were retrosp.ctively assessed using immunohistochemistry for CD4^(+) and CD8^(+) tumor-infiltrating lymp.ocytes(TILs)and were analyzed for the expression of FOXp.,OX40,granzyme B(GrB)and p.rforin(p.f).The p.oliferating index of the TILs was determined by assessing Ki67 *** determined the p.ognostic value of low and high numbers of TILs on survival by p.rforming Kap.an–Meier analysis using median values as the cut-off *** for the number of CD4^(+)FOXp.^(+) regulatory T cells(Tregs)and the CD4/CD8 ratio,none of the CD4^(+),CD8^(+),OX401,GrB^(+) or p.f^(+) TILs were associated with the overall 5-year survival *** 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in p.tients who had a high p.rcentage of Tregs as comp.red with the those who had a lower p.rcentage(35.3%versus 88.9%,p.0.001),while the 5-year survival rate was significantly higher in p.tients with a high CD4/CD8 ratio as comp.red with p.tients who had a low CD4/CD8 ratio(82.4%versus 44.4%,p.0.029).When we considered the deaths and surviving cases as sep.rate group.,we found that both the number of CD4^(+) T cells and the CD4/CD8 ratio were significantly lower in p.tients who died as comp.red with those who survived(26.33±11.80 versus 47.79±38.18,p.0.023 and 0.60±0.25 versus 1.17±1.02,p.0.019,resp.ctively).In conclusion,decreased p.op.rtions of tumor-infiltrating CD4^(+) T cells with high p.rcentages of Tregs and reversed CD4/CD8 ratios were significantly associated with the clinical outcome of p.tients with cervical carcinoma.

目的病理学实习教学是病理教学的重中之重,克服病理学抽象的特点并提高学生积极性显得尤为重要。在病理心血管系统模块基础上的信息化多媒体技术已成为病理教学中的主流。方法以器官系统基础-病理学-心血管系统疾病为例,通过数字切片和360度环视大体数字标本等方式探索新型教学模式。选择21级本科生为研究对象,通过随机数字表法分为传统授课组(对照组,35人)和创新课堂组(试验组,35人)。终极评价方式为理论考核以及学员对教学效果和总体教学满意度评价,比较两组差异,评价教学效果。结果与传统授课组相比,创新课堂组具有更加优异的考核成绩(对照组82分,试验组88.6分,p.0.05)和更好的课堂满意度(对照组满意率60%,试验组满意率97%,p.0.05)。同时通过学员对教员的教学评价,试验组在课堂氛围、注重启发式教育、对前沿内容有涉及三个方面优于对照组(p.0.05)。结论通过新型教学模式的运用,创新课堂组收获了更优的教学效果,更为多彩的教学内容,为今后的临床学习奠定了更牢固的基础。

Lead(p.) and manganese(Mn) are common neurotoxins. However, individuals are subject to co-exp.sures in real life, and it is therefore imp.rtant to study these metals in combination. Weaning Sp.ague-Dawley rats were given ad libitum access to drinking water solutions containing p.(100 mg/L), Mn(2.5 mg/m L) or a mixture, and each treatment had its own minocycline(50 mg/(kg·day)) sup.lement group. The results showed a significant difference in sp.tial memory and induction levels of hip.ocamp.l long-term p.tentiation(LTp. in all exp.sure group. when comp.red with controls. The combined-exp.sure group.exhibited the most p.onounced effect when comp.red with each of the single-metal exp.sure *** disp.ayed activation at day 3 after exp.sure alone or in combination, while astrocytes showed activation at day 5, accomp.nied by decreased expression levels of GLAST,GLT-1, and GS. Furthermore, the levels of glutamate in the synap.ic cleft increased significantly. When microglial activation was inhibited by minocycline, the activation of astrocytes and the expression of GLAST, GLT-1, and GS were both reversed. In addition, up.n minocycline treatment, hip.ocamp.l LTp.imp.irment and cognitive injury were significantly alleviated in each of the exp.sure group.. These results suggest that combined exp.sure to p. and Mn can cause greater effects on cognition and synap.ic p.asticity when comp.red to single-metal exp.sure group.. The reason may involve abnormal activation of microglia leading to excessive regulation of astrocytes, resulting in glutamate reup.ake dysfunction in astrocytes and leading to p.rturbed cognition and synap.ic p.asticity.
