Sciadopitysin exerts anticancer effects on HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells by regulating reactive oxygen species-mediated signaling pathways

Objectives:Sciadopitysin(SP)is aﬂavonoid in Ginkgo biloba that exhibits various pharmacological *** study aimed to investigate its antitumor effects and the underlying molecular mechanism of SP in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)***:Network pharmacology was used for target prediction *** Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assay was used to test the cell *** cytometry was used to test the cell cycle distribution,apoptosis status,and reactive oxygen species(ROS)*** and wound-healing assay was used to test the migration effect of SP on HepG2 *** Blot assay was used to test the expression levels of ***:Network pharmacology analysis results showed that the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and other signaling pathways are involved in the SP anti-HCC biological ***-8 assay results demonstrated that SP showed an obvious killing effect on three types of HCC cells and low cytotoxic effect on normal *** Blot andﬂow cytometry results showed that SP regulated MAPK/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)/nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)signaling pathway to induce mitochondrion-dependent apoptosis in HepG2 ***,SP can arrest the G0/G1 phase cell cycle via the protein kinase B(AKT)/p21/p27/cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)/Cyclin signaling *** healing and transwell assays showed that SP inhibited cell motility and invasion through the AKT/glycogen synthase kinase3β(GSK-3β)/vimentin/β-catenin signaling ***:Theseﬁndings demonstrated that SP induced mitochondrion-dependent apoptosis,arrested cell cycle in the G0/G1 phase,and inhibited cell migration by regulating the ROS-mediated signaling pathway in HepG2 ***,SP could serve as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of human HCC.

Seven sets of protein target sites, which occur in several gene promoters, have been analyzed. The results suggest that there is a possible mode of specific recognition of double-helical nucleic acids by proteins. This recognition mode is related to a special topological property of double-helical DNA, which is termed base spatial pattern (BSP) of DNA segment. BSP is the spatial topological property determined only by the spatial arrangement of the bases on double-helical DNA segment.

The study of tumor nanovaccines(NVs)has gained interest because they specifically recognize and eliminate tumor ***,the poor recognition and internalization by dendritic cells(DCs)and insufficient immunogenicity restricted the vaccine ***,we extracted two molecular-weight Astragalus polysaccharides(APS,12.19 k D;APSHMw,135.67 k D)from Radix Astragali and made them self-assemble with OVA257–264directly forming OVA/APS integrated nanocomplexes through the microfluidic *** nanocomplexes were wrapped with a sheddable calcium phosphate layer to improve *** in the formed nanocomplexes served as drug carriers and immune adjuvants for potent tumor *** optimal APS-NVs were approximately 160 nm with uniform size distribution and could remain stable in physiological saline *** FITC-OVA in APS-NVs could be effectively taken up by DCs,and APS-NVs could stimulate the maturation of DCs,improving the antigen cross-presentation efficiency in *** possible mechanism was that APS can induce DC activation via multiple receptors such as dectin-1 and Toll-like receptors 2 and *** accumulation of APS-NVs both in draining and distal lymph nodes were observed following *** APS-NVs could easily access the lymph ***,APS-NVs could markedly promote antigen delivery efficiency to DCs and activate cytotoxic T *** addition,APS-NVs achieve a better antitumor effect in established B16-OVA melanoma tumors compared with the OVA+Alum treatment *** antitumor mechanism correlated with the increase in cytotoxic T cells in the tumor ***,the poor tumor inhibitory effect of APS-NVs on the nude mouse model of melanoma also confirmed the participation of antitumor adaptive immune response induced by ***,this study developed a promising APS-based tumor NV that is an efficient tumor immunotherapy without systemic side effects.

NRTL equation is one of the equations that widely used in chemical engineering thermodynamics. The marked advantage of the NRTL equation is that it can be used for predicting the thermodynamicsproperties of multicomponent systems only with the data of binary systems. However the application of it to molten alloys and the other melts in metallungy has been mrsly reported. In this article, it was used to correlate thermodynamics data of binary molten alloys which are included in the systems-Cd-Bi-Sn, Cd-Bi-Pb, Cd-Sn-Pb. The data of those ternary systems were predicted by NRTL equation. The activities of Cd in quaternary system Cd-Bi-Pb-Sn were also calculated.

Bifunctional electrolyte addition for longer life and higher capacity of aqueous zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors

Owing to uncontrolled and uneven electrodeposition and side reactions,Zn metal anodes inevitably suffer from issues such as dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reactions,and surface *** paper proposes an efficient strategy to address these critical issues for realizing long-life and high-capacity aqueous zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors （ZHSCs） by incorporating low-concentration (0.05 mol·L-1) redox RbI electrolyte ***,rubidium cations have the ability to influence the negative Zn electrode surface via an electrostatic shielding mechanism,effectively protecting the electrode and minimizing undesired side *** an aqueous solution,iodide anions actively solvate Zn2+ions by stabilizing and modulating the solvation shell surrounding Zn2+.Moreover,the presence of iodide ions promotes the uniform deposition of Zn2+species by selective adsorption onto the electrode *** synergistic effect of the electrostatic shielding and halogen ions enables the realization of aqueous symmetric Zn||Zn cells with a substantial cycle life of more than 2000 h Additionally,when applied to commercial activated carbon（AC）,the proposed strategy facilitates the development of aqueous ZHSCs,exhibiting high specific capacitances(148.8 F·g-1at 4 A·g-1) and ultra-long cycling stability.

Let G be a graph of order n and X V(G). G is called X-cyclable if G has an X-cycle, i.e., a cycle containing all vertices of X. Define the parameters a(X) = max{|S| S is an independent vertex set in G[X] induced by X}, σk(X) = min{∑ki=1dG(x.i| {x1, x1…, xk} is an independent vertex set in G[X]} and NCk(X) = min{|∪ki=1 NG(xi)| | {x1, x2…,xk} is an independent vertex set in G[X] }. Our main result is as follows: If G is a 1-tough graph and X V(G) with σ3(X)≥ n, then for every integer t ≥ 1, G has a cycle C containing at least min{|X|, (2|X| - n + 3δ + 1 - t), |X| + NCt(X) - a(X)} venices of X, where δ(X) = [σ3(X)]. This result further extends previous results in H.J. Broersma et al. in terms of X-cyclability. We also obtain that if G is a 1-tough graph with σ3 (X) ≥ n, then for every integer t ≥ 1, G has a cycle containing at least min{|X|, (4|X|- 2n+4δ(X) + 1 - 2t), NCt (X) +NCt (X)} vertices of X, where NCt (X) = min{|N(I) ∩X|| I is an independent set of t vertices of X}. Analogous results are established for 2-connected graphs.

TURBULENT OPEN CHANNEL FLOW SUBJECTED TO THE CONTROL OF A SPANWISE TRAVELING WAVE

Turbulent open channel flows subjected to the control of a spanwise traveling wave have been investigated by means of Direct Numerical Simulation （DNS）. The objective of this study is to reveal the response of the near-wall and surface-influenced turbulence to the spanwise traveling wave control. Three typical frequencies of the spanwise traveling wave, i.e., high-, middle- and low-frequency, corresponding to the exciting periods at 25, 50 and 100, are considered to study the turbulence dynamics in the wall and surface regions. To elucidate the behaviors of turbulence statistics, some typical quantities, including the mean velocity, velocity fluctuations and the structures of turbulence fluctuations, are exhibited and analyzed.
