Local orientation analysis was used to investigate the continuous recrystallization process in a pure Al 1.3%Mn alloy with the emphasis on the influence of matrix orientations on the subgrain growth and precipitation. Results show that the differences of (mis)orientations in deformed matrices give rise to inhomogeneous subgrain growth and precipitation with respect to precipitate density and morphologies. Moreover, no apparent high angle grain boundaries were developed by accumulation of misorientations during subgrain growth.

Cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) strengthens cartilage by binding to type Ⅱ and typeⅨ collagen-forming bridges between collagen *** was hypothesized that perhaps one or more anabolicgrowth factors such as insulin-like growth factor-Ⅰ (IGF-Ⅰ),fibroblast growth factor-1 (FGF-1) or plateletderived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) increase COMP gene *** effects on primary humanchondrocytes and the chondrogenic cell line ATDC5 were studied using real time reverse transcript-poly-merase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for ***-Ⅰ,but not the FGF-1 or PDGF-BB,up-regulatedCOMP gene expression by approximate 5-fold in human adult chondrocytes in a dose-and ***-Ⅰ exerted similar effects on ATDC5 *** from these real time RT-PCR experimentswere confirmed by transfecting into ATDC5 cells a full-length mouse COMP promoter cloned upstream of aluciferase reporter *** stimulation with IGF-Ⅰ,the luciferase reporter activity increased by about *** conclusion,IGF-Ⅰ seems to be an important positive regulator of COMP,which may play animportant role in an attempted repair of either traumatized or degenerated cartilage.

In this paper, firstly, the proper function space is chosen, and the proper expression of the operators is introduced such that the complex large-scale atmospheric motion equations can be described by a simple and abstract equation, by which the definition of the weak solution of the atmospheric equations is made. Secondly, the existence of the weak solution for the atmospheric equations and the steady state equations is proved by using the Galerkin method. The existence of the non-empty global attractors for the atmospheric equations in the sense of the Chepyzhov-Vishik’s definition is obtained by constructing a trajectory attractor set of the atmospheric motion equations. The result obtained here is the foundation for studying the topological structure and the dynamical behavior of the atmosphere attractors. Moreover, the methods used here are also valid for studying the other atmospheric motion models.

ABSTRACTHuman placenta-derived mononuclear cells (MNC) were isolated by a Percoll density gradient and cultured in mesen-chymal stem cell (MSC) maintenance medium. The homogenous layer of adherent cells exhibited a typical fibroblast-like morphology, a large expansive potential, and cell cycle characteristics including a subset of quiescent cells. In vitrodifferentiation assays showed the tripotential differentiation capacity of these cells toward adipogenic, osteogenic andchondrogenic lineages. Flow cytometry analyses and immunocytochemistry stain showed that placental MSC was ahomogeneous cell population devoid of hematopoietic cells, which uniformly expressed CD2., CD44, CD73, CD105,CD166, laminin, fibronectin and vimentin while being negative for expression of CD31, CD34, CD45 and α-smoothmuscle actin. Most importantly, immuno-phenotypic analyses demonstrated that these cells expressed class I majorhistocompatibility complex (MHC-I), but they did not express MHC-II molecules. Additionally these cells could sup-press umbilical cord blood (UCB) lymphocytes proliferation induced by cellular or nonspecific mitogenic stimuli. Thisstrongly implies that they may have potential application in allograft transplantation. Since placenta and UCB arehomogeneous, the MSC derived from human placenta can be transplanted combined with hematopoietic stem cells(HSC) from UCB to reduce the potential graft -versus-host disease (GVHD) in recipients.

This paper refers to Clarke generalized gradient for a smooth composition of max-type functions of the form: f(x) = g(x, maxj∈J1 f1j(x),''', maxj∈Jm fmj(x)), where x ∈Rn, Ji, i = 1,''',m are finite index sets, g and fij,j ∈ Ji, i = 1,... )m, are continuously differentiable on Rm+n and Rn, respectively. In a previous paper) we proposed an algorithm of finding an element of Clarke generalized gradient for f, at a point. In that paper, finding an element of Clarke generalized gradient for f, at a point, is implemented by determining the compatibilities of systems of linear inequalities many times. So its computational amount is very expensive. In this paper) we will modify the algorithm to reduce the times that the compatibilities of systems of linear inequalities have to be determined.

The mathematical model of wetting angle of heterogeneous nucleation

Objective Comparing the differences between epileptic foci and the adjacent tissues,establishing the relationship between the blood serum and the brain tissue,and clarify the resistance mechanism of intractable epilepsy. Materials and Methods The cases are collected from functional neurosurgery of xuanwu hospital of capital {2. university from April 2.07 to March 2.09,who were all with refractory epilepsy and did the surgery of"excision of epileptic foci".We used the intraoperative electrophysiological method to distinguish the epileptic foci and the adjacent *** patients were informed consent before surgery.(1) To determine the drug concentration in blood serum and brain tissue of patients with intractable epilepsy(IE).(2. Comparing the drug concentration between the epileptic foci and the adjacent tissue,and comparing the drug concentration between the brain tissue and the blood serum,then clarify the mechanism of drug-resistant ***:(1) There are 49 patients were collected totally(31 males and 18 females,the age ranged from 12.to 47,and the average age is 2..14), they all took lamotrigine,phenobarbital,carbamazepine and phenytoin alone or in *** the method we set up to determine four drug concentrations in serum,there is one case who took lamotrigine,8 took phenobarbital, 41 took carbamazepine and 9 took *** resulets are all in the normal *** are 2. cases of patients with brain tissue were collected totally(15 males,8 females,the age ranged from 11 to 46,the average age is 2..13).Because two cases of phenytoin concentrations in brain tissue exceeded the standard curve range,so ***’ s more,one case of phenobarbital concentration is too high,and there is great difference comparing with others,so deleted *** there are 2. cases left,including 4 cases of phenobarbital and 16 cases of carbamazepine. The average drug concentration of epileptogenic foci is 1.83 tμg/ml and the adjacent tissue is 2.11μg

The heterogeneous nucleation has been analyzed in terms of the thermodynamic theory, and the mathematical model of wetting angle of heterogeneous nucleation has been developed based on the dynamic requirements of hetero- and homogeneous nucleation. With the wetting angel model, the wetting angles of different catalysts in liquid iron have been calculated. The result shows that the wetting angle of most catalysts is smaller than 40, and the value of f() is far less than 1. The wetting angles of TiN, TiC and RE2.3 are smaller, while the wetting angle of MnO is bigger among the ordinary nucleation catalysts. The wetting angles calculated by this model are in agreement with the results of other research work.

A multiple round quantum dense coding scheme based on the quantum phase estimation algorithm is proposed and implemented in a three qubit nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum computer. Using an m + 1 qubit system, Bob can transmit one of 2.+1 messages to Alice, through manipulating only one qubit and exchanging it between Alice and Bob for m rounds. The information capacity is enhanced to m + 1 bits as compared to m bits in a classical scheme. The scheme has been demonstrated in NMR system, and the experimental results show a good agreement between theory and experiment.

The fuzzy controllers constructed by 2. fuzzy implication operators based on CRI algorithm and their response functions are discussed. The conclusions show that the fuzzy controllers constructed by 9 fuzzy implication operators are universal approximators to continuous functions and can be used in practical fuzzy control systems. And these 9 fuzzy implication operators except for Einstein operator intersection are all the adjoint pairs of some fuzzy implication operators. Besides, there are 3 other fuzzy controllers formed by fuzzy implication operators being regarded approximately as fitted functions.
