By researching on the node scheduling problem of m-covered and connected sensor networks,a new concept of two-hops-cluster is proposed in this paper,and based on it,a new distributed node scheduling algorithm tHCNS for allocating all nodes in the sensor network into k(k≤m) different groups {0,1,...,k 1} is designed,without requiring location *** algorithm guarantees that each group to be connected and maintains the coverage ratio with high *** analysis and simulation results show that it has better performance than previous randomized scheduling scheme,and can prolong the lifetime of the sensor network effectively.

the images of the open cluster NGC2168 are taken using the newly-fitted 2k×2k CCD attached to the 1-m telescope at the Yun-nan Observatory with two different orientations. After the catalogue position of a star from UCAC2 is compared with its corresponding measured position, a surprising result shows that a small field of view (ab.ut 7′×7′) exhibits an obvious distortion. Spe-cifically, the polynomial between the standard coordinate (ξ,η) and its corresponding measured one (x,y) for a star in each field of view has significant terms as high as 4th order. Accordingly, the positional measurement accuracy of a bright UCAC2 star can be derived as well as ~7 mas in each direction (60 s of exposure time and near the zenith). this new finding would be important for a CCD image to deliver a highly accurate position in its whole field of view.

multifractal spectrum, autocorrelation/semivariogram and power spectrum are three dif- ferent functions characterizing a field or measure from different aspects. these functions are interre- lated in such that the autocorrelation/semivariogram and power spectrum are related to the low order statistical moments (0 to 2 nd) which may determine the local multifractality (τ ″(1)) of a multifractal measure. A better understanding of the interrelationships among these three functions is important because, on one hand, the multifractal modelling characterizes a multifractal measure in a more de- tailed manner since it involves moments of all orders. On the other hand, the commonly used semivariogram and power spectrum functions can be used as alternatives to study the dominant mul- tifractal properties around the mean measure. moreover, semivariogram and power-spectrum func- tions provide spatial and spectral information, which is highly valued in geological applications. A new fractal relation found between area and power-spectrum will be useful for investigation of new meth- ods of spatial-spectral analysis for pattern recognition, anomaly separation, classification, etc. these results have been demonstrated with the case study of modelling gamma ray spectrometer data from the mineral district, southwestern Nova Scotia, canada. the results have shown that the values of uranium (U), thorium (th) and potassium (k) may possess monofractal properties whereas the ratios of these values show high multifractality. the values of the ratios U/k and U/th show relatively large variances and may provide more information for distinguishing the distinct phases of the granites, country rocks as well as possible gold mineralization-associated regional hydrothermal alteration zones. In addition, the power spectra for U, th, k, U/th and U/k consistently show two distinct power-law relationships for two ranges of wave number 12≤ω ≤160 km and 0≤ω ≤12 km. these properties might provide usefu

this paper derives an asymptotic average symbol error probab.lity(SEP)expression for multiple-input multiple-output(mImO)two-hop amplify-and-forward(AF)relay systems with optimal *** analysis at high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)quantifies the diversity order and array gain,which are valid for any antenna numbers of the terminals and arbitrary channel fading *** is also proved that the system performance is dominated by the relatively degraded one of the two-hop *** results based on the simple expressions provide valuab.e insights into the performance and practical design considerations of mImO AF networks.

Let (k, m,H) be an upper triangular bimodule problem. Briistle and Hille showed that the opposite algebra A of the endomorphism algebra of a projective generator P of the matrices category of (k., m, H) is quasi-hereditary, and there is an equivalence between the category of△-good modules of A and mat(k, m). In this note, based on the tame theorem for bimodule problems, we show that if the algebra A associated with an upper triangular bimodule problem is of△-tame representation type, then the category F(△) has the homogeneous property, i.e. almost all modules in F(△) are isomorphic to their Auslander-Reiten translations. moreover, if (k, m,H)is an upper triangular bipartite bimodule problem, then A is of△-tame representation type if and only if F(△) is homogeneous.

this paper proposes DNA-PkC, an asymmetric encryption and signature cryptosystem by combining the technologies of genetic engineering and cryptology. It is an exploratory research of biological cryptology. Similar to conventional public-key cryptology, DNA-PkC uses two pairs of keys for encryption and signature, respectively. Using the public encryption key, everyone can send encrypted message to a specified user, only the owner of the private decryption key can decrypt the ciphertext and recover the message; in the signature scheme, the owner of the private signing key can generate a signature that can be verified by other users with the public verification key, but no else can forge the signature. DNA-PkC differs from the conventional cryptology in that the keys and the ciphertexts are all biological molecules. the security of DNA-PkC relies on diffcult biological problems instead of computational problems; thus DNA-PkC is immune from known attacks, especially the quantum computing based attacks.
