Mathematical modelling of cellular metabolism plays an important role in understandingbiological functions and providing identification of targets for biotechnological *** paperproposes a nonlinear bilevel programming(NBP)model to infer the objective function of anaerobicglycerol metabolism in Klebsiella Pneumoniae(***)for 1,3-propanediol(1,3-PD)*** on the Kuhn-Tucker optimality condition of the lower level problem,NBP is transformedinto a nonlinear programming with complementary and slackness *** authors give the existencetheorem of solutions to *** efficient algorithm is proposed to solve NBP and its convergenceis also simply *** results reveal some interesting conclusions,e.g.,biomass productionis the main force to drive glycerol metabolism,and the objective functions,which are obtained in termof several different groups of flux distributions,are similar.

When the initial frequencies and chirp rates of multi-component linear frequency modulation (LFM or chirp) signals are close,the signals may not be distinguished in the fractional Fourier domain (FRFD).Consequently,some signals cannot be *** this paper,first,the spectral distribution characteristics of a continuous LFM signal in the FRFD are analyzed,and then the spectral distribution characteristics of a LFM signal in the discrete FRFD are ***,the critical resolution distance between the peaks of two LFM signals in the FRFD is deduced,and the relationship between the dimensional normalization parameter and the distance between two LFM signals in the FRFD is also *** is discovered that selecting a proper dimensional normalization parameter can increase the ***,a method to select the parameter is proposed,which can improve the resolution ability of the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT).Its effectiveness is verified by simulation results.

A set of constitutive equations are derived based on the authors'lower bound yield loci for porous materials. By using these equations, the conditions for shear localization in porous materials are then investigated and the results are compared with those of Gurson's equations and the finite element analysis. The advantages of the present constitutive equations are fully illustrated.

The elastic moduli of short-fiber-reinforced foams depend critically on the fiber content and fiber length, as well as on the fiber orientation distribution. Based on periodic tetrakaidecahedrons, the finite element models with short-fiber reinforcement were proposed in this paper to examine the effects of the fiber content and fiber length on Young's modulus. The fiber length distribution and fiber orientation distribution were also considered. The proposed models featured in a three-dimensional diorama with random short-fiber distribution within or on the surfaces of the walls and edges of the closed-cells of polypropylene (PP) foams. The fiber length/orientation distributions were modeled by Gaussian prob-ability density functions. Different fiber volume fractions, different lengths, and different distributions were investigated. The predicted Young's moduli of the PP foams with short-glass-fiber or short-carbon-fiber reinforcement were compared with other theoretic and experimental results, and the agreement was found to be satisfactory. The proposed finite element models were proved to be acceptable to predict the Young's moduli of the grafted closed-cell PP foams with short-fiber reinforcement.
