The question whether the radio properties of quasars are related to the massof the central black hole or the accretion rate is important for our understanding of the formationof relativistic jets, but no consensus has been reached from statistical analyses. Using two largequasar samples, one radio-selected, one optical-selected, we re-examined these relations and findthat previous differences between radio- and optical- selected samples can be ascribed, at leastpartly, to the effect of the narrow line component. All previous claimed correlations are muchweaker, if exist at all.

Abstract This paper studies restricted fault diameter of the n-dimensional hypercube networks Qn (n S 2). It is shown that for arbitrary two vertices x and y with the distance d in Qn and any set F with at most 2nm3 vertices in Qn m {x,y}, if F contains neither of neighbor-sets of x and y in Qn, then the distance between x and y in Qn m F is vigen byFurthermore, the upper bounds are tight. As an immediately consequence, Qn can tolerate up to 2nm3 vertices failures and remain diameter 4 if n=3 and n+2 if nS4 provided that for each vertex x in Qn, all the neighbors of x do not fail at the same time. This improves Esfahanian's result.

A series of hyperbranched poly(ester-amide-ether)s (H-PEAEs) were synthesized via the A2+cB3 approach by the self-transesterification of ethyl ester-amide-ethers end-capped with three hydroxyl groups and ethyl ester group at two *** molecular structures were characterized with 1H NMR and FT-IR *** number average molecular weights were estimated by GPc analysis to possess bimodal wide distribution from 1.57 to *** strong inherent blue fluorescence was observed at 330 nm for excitation and 390 nm for ***,the emission intensity and fluorescence quantum yield increased along with the incorporated ether chain length,as well as almost linearly with the H-PEAE concentration in an aqueous *** comparing the fluorescence performance,the linear poly(ester-amide-ether) (L-PEAE) and hyperbranched poly(ester-amide) (H-PEA) were *** results showed that the coexistence of ether bond and carboxyl group in the molecular chain was essential for generating the strong ***,the compact backbone of H-PEAE would be propitious to the enhancement of fluorescence properties.

In the media of 0.66,0.96, 2. 16 and 0.54 mol/L ofH2SO4,the heteropoly acids of As,*** and Ge are separately reduced to corresponding heteropoly blues by gibberellin, which exhibit maxirnum absorptions at 835, 820, 810 and 805 nm with molar absorptivities of 2.64x104, 2.54x104 3.51x104 and 2.25x104 ***-1'cm-1 and linear ranges of 0-30,0-15,0-10 and 0-30 μg/25mL, The method was applied to the determinations of As, P and Si in alloyed steel.

By virtue of the operator Hermite polynomial method [Fan H Y and Zhan D H 2014 chin. Phys. B 23 060301] we find a new special function which is useful in quantum optics theory, whose expansion involves both power-series and Hermite polynomials, i.e.,min（m,n）∑l=0^min（m,n）n!m!（-1）^l/l!（n-1）!（m-l）!/Hn-l（x）y^m-l≡ n,m（x,y）.By virtue of the operator Hermite polynomial method and the technique of integration within ordered product of operators（IWOP） we derive its generating function. The circumstance in which this new special function appears and is applicable is considered.

For Runge-Kutta methods applied to stiff delay differential equations (DDEs), the concept of D-convergence was proposed, which is an extension to that of B-convergence in ordinary differential equations (ODEs) . In this paper, D-convergence of general linear methods is discussed and the previous related results are improved. Some order results to determine D-convergence of the methods are obtained.

The importance of radiative heat transfer in the simulation of indoor-fire has been *** codes have been developed based on four-flux model and discrete transfer model,*** of the codes against exact analytic solution and experimental data shows that the discrete transfer model gives numerical results with acceptable accuracy while the four-flux model underpredicts the heat fluxes although the gen- eral trend is *** studies have been performed of two-dimensional,axisymmetric turbulent, buoyancy-controlled indoor *** computational results show that neglecting radiation in the simulation can cause overprediction of 500K in the maximum temperature and less uniform velocity field compared to the prediction by discrete transfer *** four-flux method has been found to produce less uniform velocity and temperature values than discrete transfer model,but is more economic in computation.
