Bone age as.es.ment(BAA)helps.doctors.determine how a child’s.bones.grow and develop in clinical *** BAA methods.rely on clinician expertis.,leading to time-cons.ming predictions.and inaccurate *** deep learning-bas.d BAA methods.feed the extracted critical points.of images.into the network by providing additional *** operation is.cos.ly and *** addres. thes. problems.we propos. a multi-s.ale attentional dens.ly connected network(Ms.DCN)in this.*** cons.ructs.a multi-s.ale dens. connectivity mechanis.,which can avoid overfitting,obtain the local features.effectively and prevent gradient vanis.ing even in limited training ***,Ms.DCN des.gns.multi-s.ale s.ructures.in the dens.ly connected network to extract fine-grained features.at different ***,coordinate attention is.embedded to focus.on critical features.and automatically locate the regions.of interes.(ROI)without additional *** addition,to improve the model’s.generalization,trans.er learning is.applied to train the propos.d Ms.DCN on the public datas.t IMDB-WIKI,and the obtained pre-trained weights.are loaded onto the Radiological s.ciety of North America(Rs.A)***,label dis.ribution learning(LDL)and expectation regres.ion techniques.are introduced into our model to exploit the correlation between hand bone images.of different ages.which can obtain s.able age *** experiments.confirm that our model can converge more efficiently and obtain a mean abs.lute error(MAE)of 4.64 months.outperforming s.me s.ate-of-the-art BAA methods.
