Effects of citrus tree-shape and spraying height of small unmanned aerial vehicle on droplet distribution

In order to explore the droplet penetration of spraying with unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)on citrus trees with different shapes,the tests were carried out at different working *** material was five years old Cocktail grapefruit(Citrus paradisi ***)grafted on Trafoliata(Poncirus trifoliata ***.)and the type of UAV sprayer used was the 3W-LWS-Q60S.A solution of 300 times Ponceau 2R diluents liquid instead of pesticide was used for citrus fields spraying and the droplets were collected by paper *** deposition parameters were extracted and analyzed using digital image processing after scanning the *** results showed that:1)For the trees with round head shape canopy,the droplet depositions of the upper,middle and lower layers had a significant difference at 0.05 *** droplet deposition had the best effect when the working height was 1.0 m,where the average droplet deposition densities were 39.97 droplets/cm2 and the average droplet size was 0.30 mm,but the droplet coverage(3.19%)was lower than that at the working height of 1.5 m(4.27%).2)Under three different working heights of UAV,the tree with open center shape can obtain higher droplet deposition density at all three layers than that with the round head shape *** was especially prominent when the working height was 1.0 m,as the middle layer increased by 49.92%.However,the higher range of droplet deposition density meant larger fluctuation and dispersion.3)The open center shape canopy and the 1.0 m working height obviously improved the droplet coverage rate and droplet density in the citrus *** these parameters of open center shape citrus tree,there was no obvious difference in the front and rear direction,but in the left and middle part of the tree crown,the difference reached a 0.05 significant *** droplet deposition characteristics and the spray uniformity,the UAV performed better when working on open center shape plants at a 1.0 m working height.

A general White–Box strategy for designing thermoelectric cooling system

Thermoelectric cooling(TEC)is critically important in thermal management of laser modules or chips and potentially for personalized *** formulae for efficiency in standard textbooks can only describe the performance of a TEC module with ideal thermal conditions,that is,fixed terminal temperatures,but are unable to deal with a real TEC system where heat transfer at its interfaces with the heat source and sink are finite and with thermal ***,we define the TEC system-level performance indices,that is,the maximum cooling power,temperature difference,and coefficient of performance,by introducing a set of explicit *** external heat transfer conditions are taken into account as dimensionless thermal resistance *** these formulae,the TEC system performances are evaluated elegantly with errors well within±5%over broad operating *** further optimize the cooling power and the coefficient of performance in practical scenarios and establish a general White–Box design procedure for TEC systems,which enables a transparent design process and straightforward analysis of performance bottlenecks.A set of cooling experiments are performed to validate the analytical model and to illustrate the dependence of system design on realistic thermal *** choosing the suitable TEC module parameter under given external heat transfer conditions,the cooling power can be improved by more than 100%.This work sheds some light on the integral design of TEC systems for broad applications to take full advantage of the advanced thermoelectric materials in the cooling field.

Preventing HIV Epidemic in China:Policy Evolution and Coordination Mechanisms in the Past Four Decades

China has achieved commendable success in stabilizing human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)prevalence at a relatively low level of transmission(1).Nevertheless,the total number of people living with HIV in China rose to approximately 1.05 million,with cumulative reported acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)-related fatalities reaching 351,000 by the end of 2020(2).Since the initial infiltration of HIV into China in 1982(3),the nation has enacted over 471 national policies through 2021 to combat the ***,the outbreak was perceived primarily as a healthcare issue rather than the complex societal challenge that it manifested *** Ministry of Health(MOH,now known as National Health Commission)was initially tasked with HIV prevention,issuing the nation’s first HIV/AIDS-related policy in 1984,which aimed to ban HIV-infected products and individuals from ***,this approach proved inadequate as significant HIV outbreaks *** this juncture,the State Council Research Office recognized the HIV epidemic as a grave societal and public health issue,posing a threat to the“Survival of the Chinese Nation”(4).Engagement at a higher governmental level became imperative to coordinate an effective response across diverse administrative agencies.

Validation of clinical significance of examined lymph node count for accurate prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer for the eighth edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) TNM staging system

Objective： To validate the necessity of increasing the examined lymph node （ELN） count for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer （GC） patients after curative gastrectomy in multiple medical centers of ***： The clinicopathological data of 7,620 patients who underwent the curative resection for GC between 2001 and 2011 were included to demonstrate whether the ELN count is indispensable for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of GC patients after surgery. After a meticulous stratification by using the cut-point survival analysis, all included 7,620 patients were allocated into three groups as： less than 16 （〈16）, between 16 and 30 （16-30）, and more than 30 （〉30） ELNs. Survival differences among various subgroups of GC patients were analyzed to assess the impact of the ELN count on the stage migration in accordance with the overall survival （OS） of GC ***： Survival analyses revealed that the ELN count was positively correlated with the OS （P：0.001） and was an independent prognostic predictor （P〈0.01） of 7,620 GC patients. Stratum analysis showed that the accuracy of prognostic evaluation could be enhanced when the ELN count was no less than 16 （≥16） for node-negative patients and 〉30 for node-positive patients. Stage migrations were mainly detected in the various subgroups of patients with specific pN stages as follows： pN0 with 16-30 ELNs （pN016-30） and pN0 with 〉30 ELNs （pN0〉30）, pN0 with 〈16 ELNs （pN0〈16） and pNl〉30, pNl〈l6 and pN216_30, pNl：6_30 and pN2〉30, pN3a〈l6 and pN3b16-30, and pN3a〈16 and pN3 b〉30. These findings indicate that increasing the ELN count is a prerequisite to guarantee precisely prognostic evaluation of GC ***： The ELN count should be proposed to be 〉30 for acquiring the accurate prognostic evaluadort for GC patients, especially for node-positive patients.

Reconstruction of Ore-controlling Structures Resulting from Magmatic Intrusion into the Tongling Ore Cluster Area during the Yanshanian Epoch

The Tongling ore cluster area experienced intensive compression and associated shearing during the Indosinian-Yanshanian Epoch, which formed a trunk ore-controlling fold and fault system in the caprock. The magmatic intrusion in the Yanshanian Epoch induced a multi-stage unmixing of poly-phase fluids, resulting in mineralization characterized by multi-layer, wide-range, and multiform styles. The magmatic intrusion in the Tongling area not only supplied the essential ore-forming materials, but also reconstructed the ore-controlling structures according to a trend surface simulation of the following five strata boundaries： Silurian-Devonian, Devonian-Carboniferous, Carboniferous- Permian, Middle Permian-Upper Permian and Permian -Triassic. The result of this simulation shows that there exists a significant difference between the strata in the upper part and those in the lower. The lower trend surfaces are antiform whereas the upper trend surfaces are synform. In addition, superposing of the trend surfaces of adjacent bed boundaries （such as, Silurian-Devonian boundary superposed upon Devonian-Carboniferous boundary） shows that the lower trend surface always pierces the one above. Moreover, the position and orientation of the pierced parts of the different superposed trend surfaces are similar and show E-W-trending zonal distribution in accordance with the distribution of the regional E-W-trending magmatic-metallogenic belt. Based on comprehensive analysis of the mechanical properties of the strata, structural deformation mechanisms, and field phenomena, it seems that the special characteristics of the stratal trend surface resulted from jacking due to magmatic intrusion into the caprock previously controlled by an E-W-trending basement fault. Therefore, it is deduced that the major ore-controlling structures, which formed during regional horizontal compression, were reconstructed by the vertical jacking function of ore-forming magmas during the Yanshanian Epoch. The polysulfide shuttle limits the development of lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries with high energy density and long lifespan. Herein, nitrogen doped hollow carbon nanospheres(NHCS) derived from polymerization of dopamine on SiO_(2)nanospheres are employed to modify the commercial polypropylene/polyethylene/polypropylene tri-layer separators(PP/PE/PP@NHCS). The abundant nitrogen heteroatoms in NHCS exhibit strong chemical adsorption toward polysulfides, which can effectively suppress the lithium polysulfides shuttle and further enhance the utilization of active sulfur. Lithium-sulfur batteries employing the PP/PE/PP@NHCS deliver an initial discharge capacity of 1355 mAh/g and retain high capacity of 921 mAh/g after 100 cycles at 0.2 C. At a high rate of 2 C, the lithium-sulfur batteries exhibit capacity of 461 mAh/g after 1000 cycles with a capacity fading rate of 0.049% per cycle. This work demonstrates that the NHCS coated PP/PE/PP separator is promising for future commercial applications of lithium-sulfur batteries with improved electrochemical performances.

Preparation and toxicity evaluation of a novel nattokinase-tauroursodeoxycholate complex

Nattokinase(NK), which has been identified as a potent fibrinolytic protease, has remarkable potential in treatment of thrombolysis, and even has the ability to ameliorate chronic vein thrombosis. To reduce the hemorrhagic risk from an intravenous injection of NK,nattokinase-tauroursodeoxycholate(NK-TUDCA) complex was prepared at different pH values and with different ratios of NK and TUDCA. When assessing survival time, survival state,tail injury, and the body weight of mice, it was found that the NK-TUDCA complex(NK: 10 k IU/ml; TUDCA: 10 mg/ml; pH 5.0) had a lower toxicity when administered at an NK dosage of 130 kIU/kg in the acute toxicity test and 13 kIU/kg in the repeated low-dose challenge. From the results of the in vitro thrombolytic test and characterization of NKTUDCA, we speculated that the delayed release of NK-TUDCA might be the main cause of toxicity reduction by the complex. This study described the preparation of an NK complex with low toxicity following intravenous administration, which could be utilized for further clinical study of NK.

Coordinated transcription of ANRIL and P16 genes is silenced by P16 DNA methylation

Objective： To investigate the relationship between the transcription of ANRIL, P15, P14 and P16 at the same locus and the regulation mechanism of ***： Publicly available database of Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia（CCLE） was used in bioinformatic analyses. Methylation of Cp G islands was detected by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography（DHPLC）. Gene transcript levels were determined using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction（q RTPCR） assays. An engineered P16-specific transcription factor and DNA methyltransferase were used to induce P16-specific DNA demethylation and ***： The expression level of ANRIL was positively and significantly correlated with that of P16 but not with that of P15 in the CCLE database. This was confirmed in human cell lines and patient colon tissue samples. In addition, ANRIL was significantly upregulated in colon cancer tissues. Transcription of ANRIL and P16 was observed only in cell lines in which the P16 alleles were unmethylated and not in cell lines with fully methylated P16 ***, P16-specific methylation significantly decreased transcription of P16 and ANRIL in BGC823 and GES1 cells. In contrast, P16-specific demethylation re-activated transcription of ANRIL and P16 in H1299 cells（P〈0.001）.Alteration of ANRIL expression was not induced by P16 expression ***： ANRIL and P16 are coordinately transcribed in human cells and regulated by the methylation status of the P16 Cp G islands around the transcription start site.
