Spinal cord injury(SCI)is one of the most devastating traumas,and the aberrant proliferation of astrocytes usually causes neurological ***,the mechanism underlying astrocyte over-proliferation after SCI is ***2c(glutamate ionotropic receptor type 2c)plays an essential role in cell *** bioinformatic analysis indicated that Grin2c and Ca^(2+)transport functions were inhibited in astrocytes after *** of Grin2c stimulated astrocyte proliferation by inhibiting the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 2b(CaMK2b)pathway in *** screening different inflammatory factors,interleukin 1α(IL1α)was further found to inhibit Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b and enhance astrocyte proliferation in an oxidative damage *** of IL1αusing neutralizing antibody resulted in increased Grin2c expression and the inhibition of astrocyte proliferation ***,this study suggests that IL1αpromotes astrocyte proliferation by suppressing the Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b pathway after SCI,revealing a novel pathological mechanism of astrocyte proliferation,and may provide potential targets for SCI repair.

Electron kinetic effects in back-stimulated Raman scattering bursts driven by broadband laser pulses

We examine electron kinetic effects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(bSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing reflectivity spikes and generating large numbers of hot ***-duration simulations are performed to observe burst events,and a simplified model is developed to eliminate the interference of the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplified model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of electron plasma *** spectrum changes from a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A significant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplified and transferred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of hot *** proportion of hot electrons increases from 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic effects profoundly influence the bSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.

Deterministic and Robust Volt-var Control Methods of Power System based on Convex Deep Learning

Volt-var control(VVC)is essentially a non-convex optimization problem due to the non-convexity of power flow(PF)constraints,resulting in the difficulty in obtaining the optimum without convexity *** existing second-order cone method for the convexity conversion often leads to a sharp increase in PF constraints and optimization variables,which in turn increases the optimization difficulty or even leads to optimization *** paper first proposes a deterministic VVC method based on convex deep learning power flow(DLPF).This method uses the input convex neural network(ICNN)to establish a single convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage to complete the convexity conversion while the optimization variables only correspond to reactive power equipment,which can ensure the global optimum with extremely fast computation *** cope with the impact brought by the uncertainty of distributed energy and omit the additional worst scenario search of traditional robust VVC,this paper proposes robust VVC method based on convex deep learning interval power flow(DLIPF),which continues to adopt ICNN to establish another convex mapping between state parameters and node voltage *** DLIPF with DLPF,this method decreases the modeling and optimization difficulty of robust VVC *** results on 30-bus,118-bus,and 200-bus systems prove the correctness and rapidity of the proposed methods.

The great catastrophe: causes of the Permo-Triassic marine mass extinction

The marine losses during the Permo-Triassic mass extinction were the worst ever experienced. All groups were badly affected, especially amongst the benthos(e.g. brachiopods, corals, bryozoans, foraminifers,ostracods). Planktonic populations underwent a fundamental change with eukaryotic algae being replaced by nitrogen-fixing bacteria, green-sulphur bacteria, sulphate-reducing bacteria and prasinophytes. Detailed studies of boundary sections, especially those in South China, have resolved the crisis to a ～55 kyr interval straddling the Permo-Triassic boundary. Many of the losses occur at the beginning and end of this interval painting a picture of a two-phase extinction. Improved knowledge of the extinction has been supported by numerous geochemical studies that allow diverse proposed extinction mechanisms to be studied. A transition from oxygenated to anoxic-euxinic conditions is seen in most sections globally, although the intensity and timing shows regional variability. Decreased ocean ventilation coincides with rapidly rising temperatures and many extinction scenarios attribute the losses to both anoxia and high *** kill mechanisms include ocean acidification for which there is conflicting support from geochemical proxies and, even less likely, siltation(burial under a massive influx of terrigenous sediment) which lacks substantive sedimentological evidence. The ultimate driver of the catastrophic changes at the end of the Permian was likely Siberian Trap eruptions and their associated carbon dioxide emissions with consequences such as warming, ocean stagnation and acidification. Volcanic winter episodes stemming from Siberian volcanism have also been linked to the crisis, but the short-term nature of these episodes(y cause. Finally, whilst the extinction is well studied in equatorial latitudes, a different history is found in northern boreal latitudes

The scattering of normally incident water waves by two surface-piercing inclined perforated barriers in water with a uniform finite depth is investigated within the framework of linear water wave *** that thin barriers are zero-thickness,a novel numerical method involving the the coupling of the dual boundary element method(DbEM)with damping layers is *** order to effectively damp out the reflected waves,two damping layers,instead of pseudoboundaries are implemented near the two side boundaries of the computational ***,the modified linearized free surface boundary conditions are formulated and used for solving both the ordinary boundary integral equation as well as the hypersingular boundary integral equation for degenerate *** newly developed numerical method is validated against analytical methods using the matched eigenfunction expansion method for the special case of two vertical barriers or the inclined angle to the vertical being *** influence of the length of the two damping layers has been ***,these findings are also validated against previous results for several *** validation,the numerical results for the reflection coefficient,transmission coefficient and dissipation coefficient are obtained by varying the inclination angle and porosity-effect *** effects of both the inclination angle and the porosity on the amplitudes of wave forces acting on both the front and rear barriers are also *** is found that the effect of the inclination angle mainly shifts the location of the extremal values of the reflection and the transmission ***,a moderate value of the porosity-parameter is quite effective at dissipating wave energy and mitigating the wave loads on dual barriers.

Quantum correlations that surpass entanglement are of great importance in the realms of quantum information processing and quantum ***,for quantum systems prepared in pure states,it is difficult to differentiate between quantum entanglement and quantum ***,this indistinguishability is no longer holds for mixed *** contribute to a better understanding of this differentiation,we have explored a simple model for both generating and measuring these quantum *** study concerns two macroscopic mechanical resonators placed in separate Fabry–Pérot cavities,coupled through the photon hopping *** system offers a comprehensively way to investigate and quantify quantum correlations beyond entanglement between these mechanical *** key ingredient in analyzing quantum correlation in this system is the global covariance *** forms the basis for computing two essential metrics:the logarithmic negativity(E_(N)^(m))and the Gaussian interferometric power(P_(G)^(m)).These metrics provide the tools to measure the degree of quantum entanglement and quantum correlations,*** study reveals that the Gaussian interferometric power(P_(G)^(m))proves to be a more suitable metric for characterizing quantum correlations among the mechanical modes in an optomechanical quantum system,particularly in scenarios featuring resilient photon hopping.

Du Fort-Frankel finite difference method(FDM)was firstly proposed for linear diffusion equations with periodic boundary conditions by Du Fort and Frankel in *** is an explicit and unconditionally von Neumann stable ***,there has been no research work on numerical solutions of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator by using Du Fort-Frankel-type finite difference methods(FDMs).In this study,a class of invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are firstly proposed for one-dimensional(1D)and two-dimensional(2D)nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave *** using the discrete energy method,it is shown that their solutions possess the discrete energy and mass conservative laws,and conditionally converge to exact solutions with an order of for ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+(T/h_(x))^(2))1D problem and an order ofο(T^(2)+h_(x)^(2)+h_(y)^(2)+(T/h_(X))^(2)+(T/h_(y))^(2))for 2D problem in ***,τdenotes time-step size,while,hx and hy represent spatial meshsizes in x-and y-directions,***,by introducing a stabilized term,a type of stabilized invariants-preserving Du Fort-Frankel-type FDMs are *** not only preserve the discrete energies and masses,but also own much better stability than original ***,numerical results demonstrate the theoretical analyses.

Non-intrusive load monitoring is a technique for monitoring the operating conditions of electrical appliances by collecting the aggregated electrical information at the household power *** several studies on the mining of unique load characteristics,few studies have extensively considered the high computational burden and sample *** on lowfrequency sampling data,a non-intrusive load monitoring algorithm utilizing the graph total variation(GTV)is proposed in this *** algorithm can effectively depict the load state without the need for prior ***,the combined Kmeans clustering algorithm and graph signals are used to build concise and accurate graph structures as load *** GTV representing the internal structure of the graph signal is introduced as the optimization model and solved using the augmented Lagrangian iterative *** introduction of the difference operator reduces the computing cost and addresses the inaccurate reconstruction of the graph *** low-frequency sampling data,the algorithm only requires a little prior data and no training,thereby reducing the computing *** conducted using the reference energy disaggregation dataset and almanac of minutely power dataset demonstrated the stable superiority of the algorithm and its low computational burden.

The precise synthesis of helicenes with topologically defined length and specific heteroatomic perturbation in the screw-like conjugated skeletons plays an emerging role in the manipulation of chiral ***,selective,and programmable routes to helicenes or heterohelicenes are highly desirable yet challenging for structure-chiroptical property relationship ***,we report the synthesis and characterization of NbN-doped helicenes with boron atoms in the inner rims,enabled by the highly regioselective one-pot borylation of rationally designed precursors with,namely,fold-in or pan-out *** incorporation of nonbonded boron and nitrogen atoms resulted in narrow-band emission and improved optical properties for the single-stranded carbon *** addition,numbers and arrangement modes of fused six-membered rings have distinct effects on configurational stability and chiroptical properties,revealing that bN-[6]H with strong circular dichroism is a promising candidate for chiral *** combination of experimental and theoretical studies on these helical structures might provide insights into the design of helically chiral small-molecule-based sensors or emitters.
