BACKGROUND Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2DS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

Vegetable oils are a source of energy, essential fatty acids, antioxidants and fat-soluble vitamins useful for human health care and development. These oils also contribute to organoleptic quality of their products’ derivatives. However, their chemical and physical properties can be modified by the mode of their extraction, storage and distribution. These modifications might negatively affect the nutritional quality of the oils. The goals of this study were to: sample different vegetable oils for cosmetic or dietary use marketed in Cameroon, and verify purity and oxidation states of each kind of oil through determination of its acidity, iodine, peroxide, saponification, refractive indexes and the conformity of the labeling. The carotene content, the level of polar components and specific absorbance were also determined. As the result, six oils namely palm, palm kernel, coconut, black cumin, peanut and shea butter were collected. Apart from labeling, chemicals and physicals parameters analyzed were generally in accordance with the Cameroonian and Codex Alimentarius standard. This study suggests that vegetable oils sampled in the Cameroonian market may not expose consumers to lipid oxidation products generating pathological oxidative stress and inflammation. However, efforts in application of existing standard need to be done as far as labeling are concerned.

在众多类型的喷头中,液力式雾化喷头因其雾化量大、能耗低、设备简单、经济性好而得到更广泛应用。研究液力式喷头的雾化与沉积特性对改善农药喷施效果具有重要的指导意义。为明确液力式喷头的类型和喷雾参数对其雾化和沉积特性的影响,本文对6种类型的液力式喷头(标准扇形雾XR 110-015、防飘扇形雾DG 110-015、射流扇形雾AIXR 110-015、射流扇形雾AI 110-015、空心圆锥雾TXA 80-015和射流空心圆锥雾AITXA 80-015)的雾滴粒径、雾滴沉降速度以及沉积分布进行了测试。结果表明:6种供试喷头的雾滴粒径均随喷雾压力的增大而减小,不同喷雾压力下细雾滴(XR 110-015)和中等雾滴喷头(DG 110-015)的体积中值直径(D_(v0.5))差异较小,而粗雾滴(AIXR 110-015)和超粗雾滴喷头(AI 110-015和AITXA 80-015)对喷雾压力的敏感性更强,其雾滴的D_(v0.5)值随着喷雾压力的增加而急剧下降。雾滴沉降速度与分布特征主要由喷头类型决定,喷雾压力对雾滴沉降速度的影响较小,同一喷头在不同喷雾压力下的雾滴沉降速度分布趋势相似。相同喷雾压力下,细雾滴喷头的平均沉降速度(Vavg)高于其体积中值沉降速度(V_(v0.5)),但随着喷头雾滴的增大,中雾滴喷头和粗雾滴喷头的V_(v0.5)超过其Vavg,且雾滴的粒径越大两者差值越明显。雾滴的沉积结果显示,不同喷雾压力下各喷头的喷雾液流失率均在7.82%~9.75%范围内,各喷头在不同喷雾压力下的流量相似,且略低于其名义流量。喷雾压力对DG 110-015、XR 110-015和AIXR 110-015喷头的雾滴沉积分布均匀性无显著影响,但较高的喷雾压力可提高AITXA 80-015和TXA 80-015喷头的雾滴沉积分布均匀性。本研究可为田间施药时液力式喷头的选择和作业参数的优化提供理论指导和技术参考。

The accurate description of friction is critical in the finite element(FE)simulation of the sheet metal forming ***,friction is oversimplified through the use of a constant Coulomb friction *** this study,the application of an existing multiscale friction model is extended to the hot stamping *** model accounts for the effects of tool and sheet metal surface topography as well as the evolution of contact pressure,temperature,and bulk strain during hot *** load flattening and strip drawing experiments are performed to calibrate the *** results show that the model can relatively well predict friction in strip draw experiments when the tool surface evolution due to wear is ***,the application of the formulated multiscale friction model was demonstrated in the FE simulation of a hot-stamped part.

Although multi-sectoral coordination in disaster risk management has been progressing in South Africa for over two decades,there has been limited commitment to an integrated regime in managing marine oil spill *** incident management persists despite the availability of data,protocols,legislation,and resources housed in different government and private sector *** study identified practices that enhance a coordination process for the effective management of oil spill pollution.A grounded theory approach is applied to the coordination issue,which is characterized by an interactive process of simultaneously considering theoretical grounding during our empirical *** evidence includes observations of 47meetings and three oil spill exercises with 79 delegates from 32 different organizations,which supports the coordination process of instituting a national Incident Management System for marine oil spills in South *** additional 44 individual open-ended questionnaires supplement this earlier body of evidence for data triangulation and *** of development of the Incident Management System process revealed that,when designing a novel long-term project that is reliant on a shared vision from multiple organizations,enhanced coordination and collaboration for successful implementation is dependent on the following practices:(1)obtaining political commitment,(2)bridging knowledge gaps,and(3)sharing resources.

Symptomatic intestinal strictures develop in more than one third of patients with Crohn's disease(CD) within 10 years of disease onset. Strictures can be inflammatory, fibrotic or mixed and result in a significant decline in quality of life, frequently requiring surgery for palliation of symptoms. Patients under the age of 40 with perianal disease are more likely to suffer from disabling ileocolonic disease thus may have a greater risk for fibrostenotic strictures. Treatment options for fibrostenotic strictures are limited to endoscopic and surgical therapy. Endoscopic balloon dilatation(EBD) appears to be a safe, less invasive and effective alternative modality to replace or defer surgery. Serious complications are rare and occur in less than 3% of procedures. For non-complex strictures without adjacent fistulizaation or perforation that are less than 5 cm in length, EBD should be considered as first-line therapy. The aim of this review is to present the current literature on the endoscopic management of small bowel and colonic strictures in CD, which includes balloon dilatation, adjuvant techniques of intralesional injection of steroids and anti-tumor necrosis factor, and metal stent insertion. Short and long-term outcomes, complications and safety of EBD will be discussed.

奥地利维也纳音乐与表演艺术大学(Universitat fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien,mdw)音乐声学系一维也纳声音风格研究所(Institut fur musikalische Akustik-Wiener Klangstil,WK)是致力于音乐声学、表演科学、心理声学与音乐心理学的跨学科研究所,近年来完成了许多具有国际影响力的科研项目。其中,在2021年9月开始的奥地利科学基金项目“维也纳的标志性声音:量化分析维也纳爱乐乐团新年音乐会”中,IWK团队采用可发现、可获取、可互操作以及可重复使用(Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable,FAIR)的数据管理模式来探索这一著名文化名片的全方位特征,扩展了语义音乐信息的工作流程,有效助力了数字音乐学与表演科学的突破性发展,同时也向更广泛的数字音乐研究群体提供了能重复使用的数据集,并为跨领域出版实践的深入对话奠定了基础。
