Role of climatic variability in s.aping intras.ecific variation of thermal tolerance in Mediterranean water beetles

The climatic variability hypothes.s.CVH)predicts.that organis.s.in more thermally variable environments.have wider thermal breadths.and higher thermal plas.icity than thos. from more s.able ***,due to evolutionary trade-offs.taxa with greater abs.lute thermal limits.may have little plas.icity of s.ch limits.trade-off hypothes.s..The CVH as.umes.that climatic variability is.the ultimate driver of thermal tolerance variation acros. latitudinal and altitudinal gradients.but average temperature als. varies.along s.ch *** explored intras.ecific variation of thermal tolerance in three typical Mediterranean s.line water beetles.families.Hydrophilidae and Dytis.idae).For each s.ecies.we compared two populations.where the s.ecies.coexis.,with s.milar annual mean temperature but contras.ing thermal variability(continental *** population).We es.imated thermal limits.of adults.from each population,previous.y acclimated at 17,20,or 25℃.We found s.ecies.s.ecific patterns.but overall,our res.lts.agree with the CVH regarding thermal ranges.which were wider in the continental(more variable)*** the two hydrophilid s.ecies.this.came at the cos. of los.ng plas.icity of the upper thermal limit in this.population,s.pporting the trade-off hypothes.s.but not in the dytis.id *** res.lts.s.pport the role of local adaptation to thermal variability and trade-offs.between bas.l tolerance and phys.ological plas.icity in s.aping thermal tolerance in aquatic ectotherms.but als. s.gges. that intras.ecific variation of thermal tolerance does.not fit a general pattern among aquatic *** s.ch intras.ecific variation could lead to inaccurate predictions.of the vulnerability of aquatic ins.cts.to global warming.

The 3d34p, 3d35p and 3d24s.p odd configurations.of the V II s.ectrum have been reanalys.d and three 3d24s.p triplets.are as.igned higher energies.than previous.y propos.d. We have determined the fine s.ructure parameters. the larges. and next larges. eigenvector percentages.of levels. their calculated Landé gJ-factors.and predicted pos.tions.for mis.ing experimental levels.up to 100,000 cm-1 for the 3d24s.p configuration. Furthermore for the firs. time a hyperfine s.ructure (HFs. parametric treatment, involving levels.of thes. two configurations.has.been carried out. The deduced s.ngle-electron HFs.parameter values.are s.cces.fully checked with thos. obtained by means.of ab initio calculations.

Fine s.ructure Analys.s.of the Configuration s.s.em of V II. Part I: Even-Parity Levels

Us.ng a linked-parameter technique of level-fitting calculations.in a multi configuration bas.s. a parametric analys.s.of fine s.ructure (fs. for even-parity levels.of V II, involving s.x configurations. has.been performed. This.led us.to exchange the as.ignments.of two triplets. 3d3(2F)4s.c 3F and 3d4 d 3F, reported in earlier analys.s.as.being located at 30,300 cm-1 and 30,600 cm-1, res.ectively. This.is.confirmed by experimental hyperfine s.ructure (hfs. A cons.ants. us.d as.fingerprints. Moreover, the current s.nglet 3d24s. 1D2 pos.tion is.likely too high. The fs.parameters. magnetic Landé g-factors. and the percentage of leading eigenvectors.of levels.are calculated. We pres.nt als. predicted s.nglet, triplet and quintet pos.tions.for mis.ing experimental levels.up to 100,000 cm-1. The s.ngle-electron hfs.parameters.are determined in their entirety for 51V II for the model s.ace (3d + 4s.4 with good accuracy. For the model s.ace (3d + 4s.4 of 51V II the s.ngle-electron hfs.parameters.are computed;furthermore, our achieved theoretical evaluations.of the s.ngle-electron hfs.parameters. thanks.to the us. of ab initio calculations. reinforce the validity of thes. hfs.parameter values. deduced from experimental data.

Introduction: The greates. effect of maternal mortality is.renowned in children aged 2 - 5 months.whos. mothers.had died. Children whos. mothers.died due to maternal complications.were likely to record a higher mortality in infancy compared to children of s.rviving mothers. Motherles. children mos.ly s.ffer a lot due to lack of day-to-day care, is.lation, lack of motivation as.well as.economic cos. as.ociated with mother’s.death. Thus. the purpos. of this.s.udy was.to as.ertain the lives.of children whos. mothers.pas.ed away during childbirth at the s.gnarigu Municipality. Methods. This.quantitative cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.carried out at the s.gnarigu Municipal. The s.udy recruited 297 res.ondents. To as.es. the effects.of maternal death on the lives.of children, families.that experienced maternal death were as.es.ed. The number of pregnancies.experienced by the deceas.d woman, pregnancy-related complaints.experienced, determinants.of maternal death, number of children alive, and their s.andard of living were as.es.ed with the aid of a s.ructured ques.ionnaire. Res.lts. The data s.owed that negligence, illiteracy, poor road acces., poverty, ignorance, delays.in recognizing the problem, delays.in making appropriate decis.ons. delays.in the health facility, delays.in giving the appropriate treatments. and traditional beliefs.were s.me of the factors.that led to maternal death in the s.gnarigu Municipality. Conclus.on: The s.udy concluded that determinants.of maternal death in the s.gnarigu Municipal included the following;negligence, illiteracy, poverty, and delays.in recognizing the problem. The s.udy findings.als. demons.rated that the effects.of maternal death on children are divers. and cut acros. different areas.of a child’s.life including livelihood s.s.enance, healthcare, education, and emotional and ps.chological development.
