Cold dwell fatigue is the critical technological issue in Ti alloys used in the cooler front sections of aerospace jet *** subjected to a sustained load(stress dwell),the lifetime of these Ti components can be drastically reduced by as much as an order of magnitude[1–4].Without a clear understanding of the effect,safety concerns are raised.

Projection micro stereolithography(PµSL)is a digital light processing(DLP)based printing technique for producing structured *** this approach there is often a tradeoff between the largest object that can be printed and the minimum feature size,with higher resolution generally reducing the overall extent of the *** ability to produce structures with high spatial resolution and large overall volume,however,is immensely important for the creation of hierarchical materials,microfluidic devices and bioinspired *** this work,we report a low-cost system with 1µm optical resolution,representing the highest resolution system yet developed for the creation of micro-structured parts whose overall dimensions are nevertheless on the order of *** do so,we examine the limits at which PµSL can be applied at scale as a function of energy dosage,resin composition,cure depth and in-plane feature *** doing so we develop a unique exposure composition approach that allows us to greatly improve the resolution of printed *** ability to construct high-resolution scalable microstructures has the potential to accelerate advances in emerging areas,including 3D metamaterials,tissue engineering and bioinspired constructs.

Background: In Sub-Saharan Africa, pre-eclampsia remains a major health problem contributing to high rates of maternal mortality. Despite this condition having adverse effects on maternal and child health, its prevalence and associated risk factors are still significant, especially in developing countries including Ghana. This study aimed to assess the prevalence and demographic distributions associated with pre-eclampsia among pregnant women at the Ho Teaching Hospital. Methods: A facility-based retrospective study was conducted by reviewing available data or hospital records of pregnant mothers admitted to the labor and maternity wards from January 2018 to December 2020. All pregnant women who were diagnosed with pre-eclampsia within this period were included in the study. The data were collected using a structured checklist. Results: 5609 data on pregnant women from 2018 to 2020 were recorded. Out of the 5609 data recorded, 314 pre-eclampsia cases were recorded giving an overall prevalence of 5.6%. The yearly prevalence for 2018, 2019, and 2020 were 4.6%, 5.6%, and 6.6%, respectively. The most recorded pre-eclampsia cases were seen among women within the age group of 18 - 24 years. The data showed that 112 (35.7%) of the pregnant women who had pre-eclampsia were nulliparous. Pre-eclampsia-associated maternal and fetal complications were;preterm delivery 221 (70.4%), intrauterine fetal death 62 (19.7%), eclampsia 9 (2.9%), HELLP syndrome 5 (1.6%) and maternal death 17 (5.4%). Associated factors of pre-eclampsia were parity, level of education, and occupation (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study showed a rising trend in the incidence of pre-eclampsia over the years at the Ho Teaching Hospital. Parity, level of education, and occupation were found to be associated with developing pre-eclampsia.

A programme of functional genomics research is underway at the University of Greenwich,UK,to develop and apply genomics technologies to characterise an economically-important but under-researched Bemisia tabaci（Hemiptera：Aleyrodidae）,the Asia 1 mtCOI phylogenetic group.A comparison of this putative species from India with other important *** populations and insect species may provide targets for the development of more effective whitefly control *** a first step,next-generation sequencing（NGS）has been used to survey the transcriptome of adult female whitefly,with high quality RNA preparations being used to generate cDNA libraries for NGS using the Roche 454 Titanium DNA sequencing *** assemblies constructed from the resultant sequences（301 094 reads）using the software program CLC Genomics Workbench generated 3 821 core *** of a selection of these contigs with related sequences from other *** genetic groups has revealed good alignment for some genes（e.g.,HSP90）but misassemblies in other datasets（e.g.,the vitellogenin gene family）,highlighting the need for manual curation as well as collaborative international efforts to obtain accurate assemblies from the existing next generation sequence ***,data emerging from the NGS has facilitated the development of accurate and reliable methods for analysing gene expression based on quantitative real-time RT-PCR,illustrating the power of this approach to enable rapid expression analyses in an organism for which a complete genome sequence is currently lacking.

BACKGROUND:The presence of dual pathology can cause diagnostic dilemmas. We present a case of adenocarcinoma of the ampulla of Vater with concurrent amiodarone hepatotoxicity. METHODS:Painless jaundice associated with a palpable gallbladder was investigated clinically,radiologically endoscopically and via liver biopsy. RESULTS:Liver biopsy showed amiodarone hepatotoxicity Endoscopic biopsy identified an ampullary adenoma However,the endoscopic ultrasound and intra-operative findings suggested a malignancy,which was confirmed postoperatively. CONCLUSIONS:While the classic findings of Courvoisier’s Law are borne out in this case,the etiology of jaundice is twofold. Although dual pathology is uncommon it should always be considered.

DCAT is an RDF vocabulary designed to facilitate interoperability between data catalogs published on the *** its first release in 2014 as a W3C Recommendation,DCAT has seen a wide adoption across communities and domains,particularly in conjunction with implementing the FAIR data principles(forfindable,accessible,interoperable and reusable data).These implementation experiences,besides demonstrating the fitness of DCAT to meet its intended purpose,helped identify existing issues and ***,over the last few years,additional requirements emerged in data catalogs,given the increasing practice of documenting not only datasets but also data services and *** paper illustrates the new version of DCAT,explaining the rationale behind its main revisions and extensions,based on the collected use cases and requirements,and outlines the issues yet to be addressed in future versions of DCAT.
