A CAD-BEM geometry transformation method for face-based primary geometric input based on closed contour recognition

Performance analysis during the early design stage can significantly reduce building energy ***,it is difficult to transform computer-aided design(CAD)models into building energy models(BEM)to optimize building *** model structures for CAD and BEM are *** this study,geometry transformation methods was implemented in BES tools for the early design stage,including auto space generation(ASG)method based on closed contour recognition(CCR)and space boundary topology calculation *** program is developed based on modeling tools SketchUp to support the CAD format(like*.stl,*.dwg,*.ifc,etc.).It transforms face-based geometric information into a zone-based tree structure model that meets the geometric requirements of a single-zone BES combined with the other thermal parameter inputs of the *** addition,this study provided a space topology calculation method based on a single-zone BEM *** program was developed based on the SketchUp modeling tool to support additional CAD formats(such as*.stl,*.dwg,*.ifc),which can then be imported and transformed into*.*** to current methods mostly focused on BIM-BEM transformation,this method can ensure more modeling *** method was integrated into a performance analysis tool termed MOOSAS and compared with the current version of the transformation *** were tested on a dataset comprising 36 conceptual models without partitions and six real cases with detailed *** ensures a transformation rate of two times in any bad model condition and costs only 1/5 of the time required to calculate each room compared to the previous version.

Pharmacological perturbation studies based on protein-level signatures are fundamental for drug discovery. In the present study, we used a mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomic platform to profile the whole proteome of the breast cancer MCF7 cell line under stress induced by 78 bioactive compounds. The integrated analysis of perturbed signal abundance revealed the connectivity between phenotypic behaviors and molecular features in cancer cells. Our data showed functional relevance in exploring the novel pharmacological activity of phenolic xanthohumol, as well as the noncanonical targets of clinically approved tamoxifen, lovastatin, and their derivatives. Furthermore, the rational design of synergistic inhibition using a combination of histone methyltransferase and topoisomerase was identified based on their complementary drug fingerprints. This study provides rich resources for the proteomic landscape of drug responses for precision therapeutic medicine.

Background:Bariatric surgery represents an important treatment option for severely obese patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,there remains inadequate data regarding the effects of different bariatric procedures on various NAFLD parameters,especially for histological ***,this meta-analysis aimed to compare the effects of restrictive bariatric procedures and foregut bypass on the metabolic,biochemical,and histological parameters for patients with ***:Medline and Embase were searched for articles relating to bariatric procedures and *** meta-analysis was conducted to compare efficacy of bariatric procedures ***-procedure with subgroup analysis to further compare restrictive against foregut bypass ***:Thirty-one articles involving 3,355 patients who underwent restrictive bariatric procedures(n=1,460)and foregut bypass(n=1,895)were *** foregut bypass(P<0.01)and restrictive procedures(P=0.03)significantly increased odds of fibrosis *** to restrictive procedures,foregut bypass resulted in a borderline non-significant decrease in fibrosis score(P=0.06)and significantly lower steatosis score(P<0.001).For metabolic parameters,foregut bypass significantly lowered body mass index(P=0.003)and low-density lipoprotein(P=0.008)compared to restrictive *** significant differences were observed between both procedures for aspartate aminotransferase(P=0.17)and alkaline phosphatase(P=0.61).However,foregut bypass resulted in significantly lower gamma-glutamyl transferase than restrictive procedures(P=0.01)while restrictive procedures resulted in significantly lower alanine transaminase than foregut bypass(P=0.02).Conclusions:The significant histological and metabolic advantages and comparable improvements in biochemical outcomes support the choice of foregut bypass over restrictive bariatric procedures in NAFLD management.

Two-layer Lagrange-based relay network topology and trajectory design for solar system explorations

Exploration targeting outer planets and even the edge of the solar system is an emerging direction for the deep-space exploration in the next decades. To address this challenge, a novel two-layer Lagrangebased relay network topology is proposed in this study. Specifically, we utilize the Sun-Mars and Sun-Saturn Lagrange points(LPs) L4 and L5 to build a two-layer backbone relay network, which ensures continuous and high-efficiency communication capability for the exploration of the solar system. Furthermore, we utilize the planetary gravity assist and design the transfer trajectory of backbone relays with the help of planetary celestial body motion equations and Kepler's laws. Moreover, we conduct link budget analysis for multihop relay transmission under Gamma-Gamma distribution, shadowed Rician fading, and additive white Gaussian noise channels in several typical exploration scenarios and validate that the LP relays can effectively support future deep-space exploration missions.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection vs endoscopic mucosal resection for colorectal polyps:A meta-analysis and metaregression with single arm analysis

BACKGROUND Endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)has shown to be effective in management of colorectal neoplasm in the Asian countries,while its implementation in Western countries where endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)is preferred is still *** To compare the surgical,histological,and oncological outcomes between ESD and EMR in the treatment of colorectal polyps,with subgroup analysis comparing the efficacy of ESD and EMR between Japan and the rest of the *** Embase and Medline databases were searched from inception to October 2020 in accordance with PRISMA guidelines for studies comparing en bloc,complete resection,margin involvement,resection time,need for additional surgery,complications,and recurrence rate of ESD with *** Of 281344 colorectal polyps from 21 studies were *** compared to EMR,the pooled analysis revealed ESD was associated with higher en bloc and complete resection rate,and lower lateral margin involvement and *** led to increased procedural time,need for additional surgery,and perforation *** significant difference in bleeding risk was found between the two ***-regression analysis suggested only right colonic polyps correlated with an increased perforation risk in *** including polyp size and invasion depth did not significantly influence the en bloc and complete resection rate,bleeding risk and *** subgroup analysis,Japan performed better than the rest of the world in both ESD and EMR with perforation risk of 4%and 0.0002%,respectively,as compared to perforation risk of 8%and 1%,respectively,in reports coming from rest of the *** ESD resulted in better resection outcomes and lower recurrence compared to *** appropriate training,ESD is preferred over EMR as the first-line therapy for resection of colorectal polyps,without restricting to lesions greater than 20 mm and those with high suspicion of submucosal invasion.

Heat distribution model under hydrogen-rich low-carbon conditions in blast furnace

Low carbon development of blast furnaces is one of the key technological directions in the current development of *** to the differences in the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and carbon,hydrogen-rich media entering a blast furnace will change the heat distribution,thus affecting the stability of ***,a heat distribution model was proposed to study the temperature distribution in a blast furnace,simultaneously considering gas-solid heat exchange,slag and iron melting,and chemical *** model was used to analyze the temperature distribution of a 2300 m^(3) blast furnace and was verified via comparison with actual production ***,the effects of the injection rate of hydrogen-rich media,H2 concentration,and oxygen enrichment rate of the blast on the temperature distribution were *** indicated that the increase in the injection rate of the hydrogen-rich media decreased the amount of direct reduction and led to an increase in the furnace ***,an increase in the oxygen enrichment rate led to a decrease in the furnace temperature,but could reduce the solid fuel ratio,while the change in H2 concentration had less effect on the temperature *** combination of hydrogen-rich media injection and the increase in the oxygen enrichment rate would help to adjust the temperature distribution to the same level as the conventional blast furnace conditions.

Background and Aims:Pharmaceutical therapy for NASH is associated with lipid modulation,but the consensus on drug treatment is limited and lacks comparative analysis of effectiveness.A network meta-analysis was conducted to compare NASH drug classes in lipid ***:Online databases were searched for randomized controlled trails(RCTs)evaluating NASH treatments in biopsy-proven NASH *** were classified into four groups:(1)inflammation,(2)energy,(3)bile acids,and(4)fibro-sis based on the mechanism of action.A Bayesian network analysis was conducted with outcome measured by mean difference(MD)with credible intervals(Crl)and surface un-der the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA).Results:Forty-four RCTs were included in the *** acid modulat-ing treatments(MD:0.05,Crl:0.03-0.07)were the best treatment for improvement in high-density lipid(HDL)cho-lesterol,followed by treatments modulating energy(MD:0.03,Crl:0.02-0.04)and fibrosis(MD:0.01,Crl:−0.12 to 0.14)compared with *** top three treatments for reduction in triglycerides were treatments modulating energy(MD:−0.46,Crl:−0.49 to−0.43),bile acids(MD:−0.22,Crl:−0.35 to−0.09),and inflammation(MD:−0.08,Crl:−0.13 to−0.03)compared with *** found treatment modulating fibrosis(MD:−1.27,Crl:−1.76 to−0.79)was the best treatment for reduction in low-density lipid(LDL)cholesterol followed by treatment modulating in-flammation(MD:−1.03,Crl:−1.09 to−0.97)and energy(MD:−0.37,Crl:−0.39 to−0.34)compared with placebo,but LDL cholesterol was worsened by treatments modulat-ing bile ***:Network analysis comparing the class effects of dyslipidemia modulation in NASH found that treatment targets can include optimization of athero-genic *** studies are required to evaluate the cardiovascular outcomes.

αDecay in extreme laser fields within a deformed Gamow-like model

In this study, the effect of extreme laser fields on the α decay process of ground-state even–even nuclei was *** the deformed Gamow-like model, we found that state-of-the-art lasers can cause a slight change in the α decay penetration probability of most nuclei. In addition, we studied the correlation between the rate of change of the α decay penetration probability and angle between the directions of the laser electric field and α particle emission for different nuclei. Based on this correlation, the average effect of extreme laser fields on the half-life of many nuclei with arbitrary α particle emission angles was calculated. The calculations show that the laser suppression and promotion effects on the α decay penetration probability of the nuclei population with completely random α particle-emission directions are not completely *** remainder led to a change in the average penetration probability of the nuclei. Furthermore, the possibility of achieving a higher average rate of change by altering the spatial shape of the laser is explored. We conclude that circularly polarized lasers may be helpful in future experiments to achieve a more significant average rate of change of the α decay half-life of the nuclei population.

Sensing Matrix Optimization for Random Stepped-Frequency Signal Based on Two-Dimensional Ambiguity Function

Compressive sensing technique has been widely applied to achieve range-Doppler reconstruction of high frequency radar by utilizing sparse random stepped-frequency(SRSF) signal, which can suppress the complex electromagnetic interference and greatly reduce the coherent processing interval. An important way to improve the performance of sparse signal reconstruction is to optimize the sensing matrix(SM). However, the existing research on the SM optimization needs to design a measurement matrix with superior performance, which needs a large amount of computation and does not consider the influence of the waveform parameters design. In order to improve the superior reconstruction performance, a novel SM optimization approach for SRSF signal is proposed by using two-dimensional ambiguity function(TDAF) in this paper. Firstly, based on the two-dimensional sparse reconstruction model of the SRSFs, the internal relationship between the waveform parameters and the SM was derived. Secondly, the SM optimization problem was directly transformed into the waveform design of SRSFs. Furthermore, on the basis of analyzing the relationship between the mutual coherence matrix of SM and the TDAF matrix of SRSFs, the purpose of optimizing the SM can be achieved by designing the TDAF of the SRSFs. Based on this analysis, a sparse waveform optimization method with joint constraints of maximum and mean sidelobes of the TDAF by using the genetic algorithm was derived. Compared with the traditional SM optimization method, our method not only avoids generating a new measurement matrix, but also further reduces the complexity of the waveform optimization. Simulation experiments verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
