The prim. objective of the present com.unication is to exam.ne the entropy-optim.zed second order velocity slip darcy–Forchheim.r hybrid nanofluid flow of viscous m.terial between two rotating *** conducting flow is considered and saturated through darcy–Forchheim.r *** the disks are rotating with different angular frequencies and stretches with different *** graphene oxide and titanium.dioxide are considered for hybrid nanoparticles and water as a continuous phase *** heating,heat generation/absorption and viscous dissipation effects are incorporated in the m.them.tical m.deling of energy ***,binary chem.cal reaction with activation energy is *** total entropy rate is calculated in the presence of heat transfer irreversibility,fluid friction irreversibility,Joule heating irreversibility,porosity irreversibility and chem.cal reaction irreversibility through therm.dynam.cs second *** nonlinear governing equations are first converted into ordinary differential equations through im.lem.ntation of appropriate sim.larity transform.tions and then num.rical solutions are calculated through Built-in-Shooting *** of sundry flow variables on the entropy generation rate,velocity,concentration,Bejan num.er,tem.erature are discussed graphically for both graphene oxide and titanium.dioxide hybrid *** engineering interest like skin friction coefficient and Nusselt num.er are com.uted num.rically and presented through *** is noticed from.the obtained results that entropy generation rate and Bejan num.er have sim.lar effects versus diffusion *** entropy generation rate is m.re against the higher Brinkm.n num.er.

m.D natural convection with Joule and viscous heating effects in iso-flux porous m.dium.filled enclosures

In this study, the m.gnetohydrodynam.cs （m.D） natural convection heat transfer with Joule and viscous heating effects inside an iso-flux porous m.dium.filled inclined rectangular enclosure is studied num.rically. An iso-heat flux is applied for heating and cooling the two opposing walls of the enclosure while the other walls are adiabatic. The Forchheim.r extension of darcy-Oberbeck-Boussinesq and energy equations is transform.d into a dim.nsionless form.using a set of suitable variables instead of a finite difference schem.. The governing param.ters are the m.gnetic influence num.er, the m.dified Rayleigh num.er, the inclination angle, and the aspect ratio of the enclosure. The results show that viscous and Joule heating effects decrease heat transfer rates.

背景：心房纤颤（简称房颤）与死亡和心血管事件（特别是卒中）危险性增加相关，因此，预防新发房颤是一个重要的临床问题。虽然心电图左心室肥厚（electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy，LVH）的存在及其严重程度可以预测房颤的发生，但是心电图LVH消退是否与房颤发生率下降相关尚不清楚。目的：验证降压治疗期间心电图LVH消退或持续消失与房颤发生率下降相关且独立于血压水平及治疗模式的假设。设计、方法及参试者：1995～2001年于8831例男性和女性高血压患者中进行双盲、随机、平行分组研究。患者年龄55～80岁（中位数，67岁），均根据心电图Com.ll电压-间期乘积或Sokolow—Lyon电压标准诊断LVH。患者无房颤史，基线心电图无房颤，已入选氯沙坦干预降低终点事件高血压研究。干预：氯沙坦或阿替洛尔治疗方案，6个月时进行随访评估，之后每年随访，直至患者死亡或试验终止。主要观测指标：基线及随访各时点心电图LVH与新发房颤的相关性。心电图LVH的测量使用性别校正的Com.ll乘积标准（{RavL＋Sv3[女性＋6m.]}×QRS间期）。结果：经过平均（SD）4．7（1．1）年的随访，治疗期间心电图Com.ll乘积标准LVH消退或持续消失的患者有290例新发房颤（发生率为14．9／1000病人-年）；而心电图LVH持续或进展的患者则有411例新发房颤（19．0／1000病人-年）。时间依赖Cox分析显示，在校正治疗效果、基线房颤危险因素差异、基线及治疗期间血压以及基线LVH严重程度后，治疗期间Com.ll乘积标准LVH降低作为一种时间变异协变量与新发房颤下降相关。Com.ll乘积每下降1050m.×m.ec（每个SD），新发房颤就下降12．4％（校正风险比[hazard ratio，HR]，0．88；95％可信区间[confidence interval，CI]0．80～0．97；P=0．007）；氯沙坦减少高血压患者发生房颤的益处优于阿替洛尔（HR，0．83；95％CI，0．71～0．97；P=0．01）。结论：原发性高血压患者在降压治疗期间，心电图Com.ll乘积标准LVH消退与新发房颤下降相关，而且独立于血压和治疗方案。这些发现提示，以降低或预防心电图LVH为目标的降压治疗可以降低新发房颤的发生率。

本研究的目的是评价睾丸的超声引导下组织学取材穿刺活检术。2003年4月——2006年10月，在超声引导下使用一次性16或18G穿刺针对11例病人进行12次活组织检查，将活检的详细情况建立一个数据库并记录活检后的9个月～3年期间资料。最终的诊断依赖于活检和外科手术切除部位的组织学诊断以及隔期随访。穿刺活检容易耐受，除了会有单个小的睾丸出血外，没有并发症。

Radiation Effect on Natural Convection Near a Vertical Plate Em.edded in Porous m.dium.with Ram.ed Wall Tem.erature

Radiation effect on the natural convection flow of an optically thin viscous incom.ressible fluid near a vertical plate with ram.ed wall tem.erature in a porous m.dium.has been studied. The exact solution of m.m.ntum.and energy equations is obtained by the use of Laplace transform.technique. The variations in fluid velocity and tem.erature are shown graphically whereas the num.rical values of shear stress and the rate of heat transfer at the wall are presented in tabular form.for various values of flow param.ters. The results show that the fluid velocity increases with increase in Grashof num.er, darcy num.er and tim. param.ters whereas the fluid velocity decreases with increase in the radiation param.ter and Prandtl num.er for ram.ed tem.erature as well as isotherm.l wall tem.erature. It is found that an increase in radiation param.ter leads to rise the tem.erature for both ram.ed wall tem.erature as well as isotherm.l wall tem.erature. Further, it is found that an increase in Prandtl num.er leads to fall the tem.erature for both ram.ed wall tem.erature as well as isotherm.l wall tem.erature. The shear stress at the wall decreases with increases in either Prandtl num.er or porosity param.ter while the result shows reverse in the case of radiation param.ter. Finally, the rate of heat transfer is increased with increases in the radiation param.ter for both ram.ed wall tem.erature as well as isotherm.l wall tem.erature.

Peristaltic transport of m.D William.on fluid in an inclined asym.etric channel through porous m.dium.with heat transfer

The intention of this investigation is to study the effects of heat transfer and inclined m.gnetic field on the peristaltic flow of William.on fluid in an asym.etric channel through porous m.dium. The governing two-dim.nsional equations are sim.lified under the assum.tion of long wavelength approxim.tion. The sim.lified equations are solved for the stream.function, tem.erature, and axial pressure gradient by using a regular perturbation m.thod. The expression for pressure rise is com.uted num.rically. The profiles of velocity, pressure gradient, tem.erature, heat transfer coefficient and stream.function are sketched and interpreted for various em.edded param.ters and also the behavior of stream.function for various wave form. is discussed through graphs. It is observed that the peristaltic velocity increases from.porous m.dium.to non-porous m.dium. the m.gnetic effects have increasing effect on the tem.erature, and the size of the trapped bolus decreases with the increasing of m.gnetic effects while the trend is reversed with the increasing of darcy num.er. m.reover, lim.ting solutions of our problem.are in close agreem.nt with the corresponding results of the Newtonian fluid m.del.

The relationships between clim.te conditions and wood density in tropical forests are still poorly *** quantify spatial dependence of wood density in the state of m.nas Gerais(m.,Brazil),m.p spatial distribution of density,and correlate density with clim.te variables,we extracted data from.the Forest Inventory of m.nas Gerais for 1988 trees scaled throughout the territory and m.asured wood density of discs rem.ved from.the *** variables were extracted from.the database of the Ecological-Econom.c Zoning of m.nas *** spatial analysis,tree densities were m.asured at 44 georeferenced sam.ling *** data were subjected to exploratory analysis,variography,cross-validation,m.del selection,and ordinary *** relationships between wood density and environm.ntal variables were calculated using dispersion m.trices,linear correlation,and *** density proved to be highly spatially dependent,reaching a correlation of 96%,and was highly continuous over a distance of 228 *** distribution of wood density followed a continuous gradient of 514-659 kg m.(−3),enabling corre-lation with environm.nt *** was correlated with m.an annual precipitation(−0.57),tem.erature(0.63),and evapotranspiration(0.83).Geostatistical m.thods proved useful in predicting wood density in native tropical forests with different clim.te *** results confirm.d the sensitivity of wood density to clim.te change,which could affect future carbon stock in forests.
