The geochemical characteristics of two sections—the Permian–Triassic boundary(PTB) Guryul Ravine section, Kashmir Valley, Jammu and Kashmir,India; and the Attargoo section, Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, India—have been studied in the context of provenance, paleo-weathering, and plate tectonic *** sections represent the siliciclastic sedimentary sequence from the Tethys Himalaya. The PTB siliciclastic sedimentary sequence in these regions primarily consists of sandstones and shales with variable thickness. Present studied sandstones and shales of both sections had chemical index of alteration values between 65 and 74; such values reveal low-to-moderate degree of chemical weathering. The chemical index of weathering in studied samples ranged from 71 to 94, suggesting a minor K-metasomatism effect on these samples. Plagioclase index of alteration in studied sections ranged from 68 to 92, indicating a moderate degree of weathering of plagioclase feldspars. The provenance discriminant function diagram suggests that the detritus involved in the formation of present studied siliciclastic sedimentary rocks fall in quartzose sedimentary and felsic igneous provenances. These sediments were deposited in a passive continental margin plate tectonic setting according to their location on a Si_2 o versus K_2o/na_2 o tectonic setting diagram.

Pesticides have become an inevitable part of the modern environment as they are widely used in agriculture,household,and public health sectors and,hence,are extensively distributed throughout most ***,organophosphate pesticides are the most commercially favored group of pesticides,with large application areas all over the *** on their fate,these organophosphorus compounds may become bioavailable for microbial *** microbes,such as Aspergillus,Pseudomonas,Chlorella,and Arthrobacter,are capable of coupling a variety of physical and biochemical mechanisms for the degradation of organophosphate pesticides,including adsorption,hydrolysis of P–o alkyl and aryl bonds,photodegradation,and enzymatic ***,such as esterase,diisopropyl fluorophosphatase,phosphotriesterase,somanase,parathion hydrolase,and paraoxonase,have been isolated from microbes to study and understand the catabolic pathways involved in the biotransformation of these xenobiotic *** review highlights various aspects of biodegradation of organophosphate pesticides along with biological and molecular characterization of some organophosphate pesticide-degrading bacteria.

Purpose： To comprehensively evaluate the overall performance of a group or an individual in both bibliometrics and patentometrics. Design/methodology/approach： Trace metrics were applied to the top 30 universities in the2014 Academic Ranking of World Universities（ARWU） — computer sciences, the top 30 ESI highly cited papers in the computer sciences field in 2014, as well as the top 30 assignees and the top 30 most cited patents in the national Bureau of Economic Research（nBER） computer hardware and software ***： We found that, by applying trace metrics, the research or marketing impact efficiency, at both group and individual levels, was clearly observed. Furthermore, trace metrics were more sensitive to the different publication-citation distributions than the average citation and h-index *** limitations： Trace metrics considered publications with zero citations as negative contributions. one should clarify how he/she evaluates a zero-citation paper or patent before applying trace *** implications： Decision makers could regularly examinine the performance of their university/company by applying trace metrics and adjust their policies ***/value： Trace metrics could be applied both in bibliometrics and patentometrics and provide a comprehensive view. Moreover, the high sensitivity and unique impact efficiency view provided by trace metrics can facilitate decision makers in examining and adjusting their policies.

Single-edged notched tension （SEnT） specimen is used to study the fatigue crack growth rate （FCGR） behavior of AISI 50100 steel using MTS 810. Calibration tests are run to get plots of crack mouth opening displacement （CMoD） vs. load and CMoD vs. crack length-to-width ratio with the known crack lengths. numerical simulation is also done to try to establish a relation between crack length and CMoD. FCGR of welded and un-welded specimens are plotted against stress intensity factor range to show the effect of welding on fatigue crack growth rate of AISI 50100 steel. The experimentally obtained CMoD values are compared with values obtained by numerical simulation using ABAQUS/StandardTM software package. Results show that numerical values are in good agreement with experimental data for small crack lengths and lower values of applied load,

The ever increasing energy demands of modern civilization and rapidly dwindling fossil fuels point towards a renewable substitute like ***,higher costs associated with biofuel productions is the major bottleneck for its *** present study demonstrates the use of a statistical approach called response surface methodology(RSM)to investigate the optimum parameters for maximum production of cellulase by Bacillus tequilensis *** Plackett-Bur-man design(PB)of the RSM analysis indicated grass straw(GS)concentration,pH,FeSo4,inoculum,MgSo4,incubation period and nH4Cl as significant variables that influence the cellulase ***,to propose the best medium for the maximum production of cellulase by *** G9,the most influential parameters,namely concentrations of GS as substrate,FeSo4,pH,inoculum size,*** fine-tuned by central composite design(CCD)involving four factors and five *** CCD analysis demonstrated 8%substrate concentration,1.5%of inoculum along with 10 ppm FeSo4 and a pH of 5.5 in media as optimum conditions for highest enzyme *** field emission scanning electron microscopic analysis of the treated GS showed structural alterations depicting significant deconstruction caused by *** *** yield of the partially purified cellulase proteins were found to be 21%revealing molecular mass between 30 and 97 *** enhanced cellulase production by *** G9 demonstrated in our study brands its applications in many industrial processes like biorefinery,biofuels,etc.
