Under the many available strategies for the adoption of sustainable practices,the urban agriculture emerges as a relevant *** naturation is the vegetative treatment of built surfaces,using plants adapted to the local environmental *** vegetation is a highly relevant element to the regulation and balance of extreme climatic *** also affects buildings thermal comfort and energy use,when assuming functions of control regarding solar radiation,air relative humidity and air *** the role of climate control,the vegetation can also play a role in food *** growing of vegetable crops,spices and medicinal herbs has gained the urban spaces of Brazilian *** growth of plants at home or in the urban environment,described as productive landscape,becomes one of the few ways of contact with the elements of ***,the urban agriculture can create natural spaces in the urban centers,thus,promoting the comfort into two scales:the urban scale and the building *** the other hand,the addition of vegetation for food production on built surfaces assumes a multidisciplinary *** is needed to technically respond to the suitable choice of substrate and plant species,to the nutrition values of the cultivated foods and,therefore,to the building physics that supports the food *** aims of this investigation project are:(i)to increase international partnerships in the subject(the Federal University of Pelotas,in Brazil;the Lund and the ALNARP Universities,in Sweden;the Polytechnic University of Madrid,in Spain;and the Arizona State University,in the United States);(ii)to bring information on both the building energy efficiency and the outdoor microclimate as a consequence of the green roof establishment;(iii)to generate a cultivation guide for food production on ***,this paper presents the first step of the research interdisciplinary approach,which deals with the construction of the Cultivation

Urban cemeteries have the potential to negatively impact the quality of health of populations in their immediate ***,it becomes important to understand the factors influencing the potential to disperse *** study examined the altimetry,Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)and Land Surface Temperature(LST)in five urban cemeteries in the City of Passo Fundo/RS,in the south of Brazil,and the possible potential for the proliferation of contaminating agents present in these cemetery spaces in relation to a radius of 300 meters(m).The methodologies used Landsat 8 satellite images to sample the altimetry,NDVI and LST,applied to a regression model,to analyze the dispersion factors of the correlation of collected *** results showed a trend of contamination of the environment by urban cemeteries in Passo Fundo,in the regions with the highest population density and the lowest vegetative cover.

The use of remote sensing in the design of land use mapping allows analyses of landscape evolution during a certain period of time which helps studies in a global *** objective of this study is to identify and analyze changes in characteristics of rural land use in the municipality of Passo Fundo,located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul,Brazil,during the years 2001 and 2020,through images taken from the Landsat TM-7 and TM-8 ***,satellite images were classified by supervised methods,generating thematic maps,and taking into account the following groups:tillage(growing area),forest,exposed soil and water *** demonstrated that the process of connecting agricultural crop patches went from 5.495 in 2001 to a figure of 10.812 in 2020,thus having an increase of 96%.

Background:IgG-class autoantibodies to N-Methyl-D-Aspartate(NMDA)-type glutamate receptors define a novel entity of autoimmune *** examining the prevalence of NMDA IgA/IgM antibodies in patients with Parkinson disease with/without dementia produced conflicting *** measured NMDA antibodies in a large,well phenotyped sample of Parkinson patients without and with cognitive impairment(n=296)and controls(n=295)free of neuropsychiatric *** phenotyping and large numbers allowed statistically meaningful correlation of antibody status with diagnostic subgroups as well as quantitative indicators of disease severity and cognitive ***:NMDA antibodies were analysed in the serum of patients and controls using well established validated *** used anti-NMDA antibody positivity as the main independent variable and correlated it with disease status and phenotypic ***:The frequency of NMDA IgA/IgM antibodies was lower in Parkinson patients(13%)than in controls(22%)and higher than in previous studies in both *** IgA/IgM antibodies were neither significantly associated with diagnostic subclasses of Parkinson disease according to cognitive impairment,nor with quantitative indicators of disease severity and cognitive impairment.A positive NMDA antibody status was positively correlated with age in controls but not in Parkinson ***:It is unlikely albeit not impossible that NMDA antibodies play a significant role in the pathogenesis or progression of Parkinson disease *** Parkinson disease with dementia,while NMDA IgG antibodies define a separate disease of its own.

在产业研究发展促进计划(IGF)AiF-Nr.17514N"InnoSpul"项目中,对于筒子结构的确定和交叉卷绕纱管的染色性能进行了深入研究。基于绕线过程和所显示的密度分布的分析可知,传统的绕线方法无法得到均匀的径向密度。因此,开发了一种新型绕线工艺——InnoSpul Winding。染色测试表明:采用新型InnoSul Winding工艺可获得比传统绕线方法高出40%的染色均匀性。

Sex-specific pathways in early cardiac response to pressure overload in mice

Pressure overload(PO) first causes cardiac hypertrophy and then heart failure(HF), which are associated with sex differences in cardiac morphology and function. We aimed to identify genes that may cause HF-related sex differences. We used a transverse aortic constriction(TAC) mouse model leading to hypertrophy without sex differences in cardiac function after 2 weeks, but with sex differences in hypertrophy 6 and 9 weeks after TAC. Cardiac gene expression was analyzed 2 weeks after surgery. Deregulated genes were classified into functional gene ontology(GO) categories and used for pathway analysis. Classical marker genes of hypertrophy were similarly upregulated in both sexes(α-actin, ANP, BNP, CTGF). Thirty-five genes controlling mitochondrial function(PGC-1, cytochrome oxidase, carnitine palmitoyl transferase, acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase) had lower expression in males compared to females after TAC. Genes encoding ribosomal proteins and genes associated with extracellular matrix remodeling exhibited relative higher expression in males(collagen 3, matrix metalloproteinase 2, TIMP2, and TGFβ2, all about twofold) after TAC. We confirmed 87% of the gene expression by real-time polymerase chain reaction. By GO classification, female-specific genes were related to mitochondria and metabolism and males to matrix and biosynthesis. Promoter studies confirmed the upregulation of PGC-1 by E2. Less downregulation of metabolic genes in female hearts and increased protein synthesis capacity and deregulation of matrix remodeling in male hearts characterize the sex-specific early response to PO. These differences could contribute to subsequent sex differences in cardiac function and HF.
