Spinal cord injury rem.ins a m.jor cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decom.ression and rehabilitation,there are no pharm.cological treatm.nts to lim.t the progression of injury and optim.ze recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the com.lem.nt system.in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflam.ation,a sim.lar role for com.lem.nt in spinal neuroinflam.ation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of com.lem.nt in spinal cord injury including the sources of com.lem.nt proteins,triggers of com.lem.nt activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data dem.nstrating the different triggers of com.lem.nt activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to dam.ge-associated m.lecular *** effector functions of com.lem.nt have been im.licated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of com.lem.nt anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while em.hasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we system.tically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical m.dels of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into hum.n *** review em.hasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different com.lem.nt pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvem.nt of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of com.lem.nt in white m.tter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplem.nt genetic m.dels.

Hippocam.al neuronal loss causes cognitive dysfunction in Alzheim.r’s *** hippocam.al neurogenesis is reduced in patients with Alzheim.r’s *** stim.lates adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in rodents and im.roves m.m.ry and slows cognitive decline in patients with Alzheim.r’s ***,the m.lecular pathways for exercise-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis and im.roved cognition in Alzheim.r’s disease are poorly ***,regulator of G protein signaling 6(RGS6)was identified as the m.diator of voluntary running-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in ***,we generated novel RGS6fl/fl;APP_(SWE) m.ce and used retroviral approaches to exam.ne the im.act of RGS6 deletion from.dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells on voluntary running-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis and cognition in an am.loid-based Alzheim.r’s disease m.use *** found that voluntary running in APP_(SWE) m.ce restored their hippocam.al cognitive im.airm.nts to that of control *** cognitive rescue was abolished by RGS6 deletion in dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells,which also abolished running-m.diated increases in adult hippocam.al *** hippocam.al neurogenesis was reduced in sedentary APP_(SWE) m.ce versus control m.ce,with basal adult hippocam.al neurogenesis reduced by RGS6 deletion in dentate gyrus neural precursor ***6 was expressed in neurons within the dentate gyrus of patients with Alzheim.r’s disease with significant loss of these RGS6-expressing ***,RGS6 m.diated voluntary running-induced rescue of im.aired cognition and adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in APP_(SWE) m.ce,identifying RGS6 in dentate gyrus neural precursor cells as a possible therapeutic target in Alzheim.r’s disease.

Innovation in the services area - especially in the electronic services （e-services） dom.in - can be system.tically developed by first considering the strategic drivers and foci, then the tactical principles and enablers, and finally the operational decision attributes, all of which constitute a process or calculus of services innovation. m.re specifically, there are four custom.r drivers （i.e., collaboration, custom.zation, integration and adaptation）, three business foci （i.e., creation-focused, solution-focused and com.etition-focused）, six business principles （i.e., reconstruct m.rket boundaries, focus on the big picture not num.ers, reach beyond existing dem.nd, get strategic sequence right, overcom. organizational hurdles and build execution into strategy）, eight technical enablers （i.e., software algorithm., autom.tion, telecom.unication, collaboration, standardization, custom.zation, organization, and globalization）, and six attributes of decision inform.tics （i.e., decision-driven, inform.tion-based, real-tim., continuously-adaptive, custom.r-centric and com.utationally-intensive）. It should be noted that the four custom.r drivers are all directed at em.owering the individual - that is, at recognizing that the individual can, respectively, contribute in a collaborative situation, receive custom.zed or personalized attention, access an integrated system.or process, and obtain adaptive real-tim. or just-in-tim. input. The developed process or calculus serves to identify the potential white spaces or blue oceans for innovation. The num.er of electric vehicles are increasing in the society as they are considered as zero em.ssion vehicles and also because conventional fuels are becom.ng expensive. Additional electrical power should be produced to m.et the energy requirem.nt of this increase in electric vehicle population. To use the existing grid infrastructure without any failure, installing distributed generator at secondary distribution network is essential. In this work, sizing of wind-driven perm.nent m.gnet synchronous generator photovoltaic hybrid distributed generating system.has been attem.ted to m.et the energy dem.nd of electric vehicles of a particular residential area. Different feasible com.inations for wind generator capacity and photovoltaic capacity are obtained to satisfy the additional energy requirem.nt. Results are analyzed based on energy, financial payback periods and daily power profile of the hybrid system. Based on this analysis, the sizes of wind generator and photovoltaic array have been chosen to m.et the energy dem.nd of electric vehicles of that particular residential locality.

Photobiom.dulation (PBm.- the irradiation of cells or tissues with low-intensity red to near-infrared light - is em.rging as an effective m.ans of enhancing cell and tissue resilience and repair. As reviewed elsewhere (Gordon et al., 2019), the intracellular effects of PBm.appear to be prim.rily m.diated by cytochrom. C oxidase, a key enzym. in the m.tochondrial respiratory chain and a prim.ry photoacceptor of red to near-infrared light. Absorption of light by cytochrom. C oxidase alters its redox state, resulting in increased ATP production, the liberation of nitric oxide and a transient burst in reactive oxygen species.

For m.re than two decades rudim.ntary versions of the fixed sam.le and sequential search strategies have provided the prim.ry theoretical foundation for the study of m.te choice decisions by searchers. The theory that surrounds these m.dels has expanded m.rkedly over this tim. period. In this paper, we review and extend results derived from.these m.dels, with a focus on the em.irical analysis of searcher behavior. The basic m.dels are im.ractical for em.irical purposes because they rely on the as- sum.tion that searchers--and, for applied purposes, researchers--assess prospective m.tes based on their quality, the fitness consequences of m.te choice decisions. Here we expound versions of the m.dels that are m.re em.irically useful, reform.lated to reflect decisions based on m.le phenotypic characters. For som. organism., it m.y be possible to use preference functions to de- rive predictions from.the reform.lated m.dels and thereby avoid difficulties associated with the m.asurem.nt of m.le quality per se. But predictions derived from.the two m.dels are difficult to differentiate em.irically, regardless of how the m.dels are form.- lated. Here we develop ideas that illustrate how this goal m.ght be accom.lished. In addition, we clarify how the variability of m.le quality should be evaluated and we extend what is known about how this variability influences searcher behavior under each m.del. m.re general difficulties associated with the em.irical study of m.te choice decisions by searchers are also discussed [Current Zoology 59 （2）： 184-199, 2013].

The position control system.of an electro-hydraulic actuator system.（EHAS） is investigated in this paper. The EHAS is developed by taking into consideration the nonlinearities of the system. the friction and the internal leakage. A variable load that sim.lates a realistic load in robotic excavator is taken as the trajectory reference. A m.thod of control strategy that is im.lem.nted by em.loying a fuzzy logic controller （FLC） whose param.ters are optim.zed using particle swarm.optim.zation （PSO） is proposed. The scaling factors of the fuzzy inference system.are tuned to obtain the optim.l values which yield the best system.perform.nce. The sim.lation results show that the FLC is able to track the trajectory reference accurately for a range of values of orifice opening. Beyond that range, the orifice opening m.y introduce chattering, which the FLC alone is not sufficient to overcom.. The PSO optim.zed FLC can reduce the chattering significantly. This result justifies the im.lem.ntation of the proposed m.thod in position control of EHAS.

Trace elem.nts are essential dietary com.onents for livestock species. However, they also exhibit a strong toxic potential. Therefore, their fluxes through the anim.l organism.are tightly regulated by a com.lex m.lecular m.chinery that controls the rate of absorption from.the gut lum.n as well as the am.unt of excretion via faeces, urine and products(e.g., m.lk) in order to m.intain an internal equilibrium. When supplem.nted in doses above the gross requirem.nt trace elem.nts accum.late in urine and faeces and, hence, m.nure. Thereby, trace elem.nt em.ssions represent a potential threat to the environm.nt. This fact is of particular im.ortance in regard to the widely distributed feeding practice of pharm.cological zinc and copper doses for the purpose of perform.nce enhancem.nt. Adverse environm.ntal effects have been described, like im.airm.nt of plant production, accum.lation in edible anim.l products and the water supply chain as well as the correlation between increased trace elem.nt loads and antim.crobial resistance. In the light of discussions about reducing the allowed upper lim.ts for trace elem.nt loads in feed and m.nure from.livestock production in the European Union excessive dosing needs to be critically reconsidered. m.reover, the precision in trace elem.nt feeding has to be increased in order to avoid unnecessary supplem.ntation and, thereby, heavy m.tal em.ssions from.livestock production.

Age-dependent protein-conform.tional diseases(PCDs),such as Alzheim.r’s disease(AD),Parkinson’s disease(PD),or am.otrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS),are characterized by m.sfolding and aggregation of m.tastable proteins present within the proteom. of the affected *** evidence supports the notion that bacteria and bacterial products m.y be affecting the stability of these culprit host proteins and therefore influence disease progression and perhaps even its *** specific culprit proteins are associated with each disease(e.g.,Aβin AD,α-synuclein in PD,and TDP-43 in ALS),bacteria found to affect these diseases do not seem.to differentiate between these specific proteins but likely affect host proteostasis in general,leading to m.sfolding of m.tastable proteins encoded within the *** evidence that supports this hypothesis com.s from.studies where a single bacterial genus was linked to m.ltiple *** exam.le,a decrease in Prevotella *** linked to constipation,a condition that precedes PD m.tor sym.tom. by as m.ch as 20 or m.re years(Savica et al.,2009;Zhu et al.,2014).
