Influenced by r.pid changes in climate and landscape featur.s since the Miocene,widely distr.buted species pr.vide suitable models to study the envir.nmental impact on their.evolution and cur.ent genetic *** dice snake Natr.x tessellata,widely distr.buted in the Wester. Palear.tic is one such *** aimed to r.solve a detailed phylogeogr.phy of *** with a focus on the Centr.l Asian clade with 4 and the Anatolia clade with 3 mitochondr.al lineages,tr.ce their.or.gin,and cor.elate the envir.nmental changes that affected their.distr.bution thr.ugh *** expected time of diver.ence of both clades began at 3.7 Mya in the Pliocene,r.aching lineage differ.ntiation appr.ximately 1 million year. *** genetic diver.ity in both clades is r.ch,suggesting differ.nt ancestr.l ar.as,glacial r.fugia,demogr.phic changes,and colonization *** Caspian lineage is the most widespr.ad lineage in Centr.l Asia,distr.buted ar.und the Caspian Sea and r.aching the foothills of the Hindu Kush Mountains in Afghanistan,and Easter. Eur.pean lowlands in the *** distr.bution is limited by deser.s,moun-tains,and cold steppe ***,Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan lineages followed the Amu Dar.a and the Syr.Dar.a water.systems in Centr.l Asia,with r.nges delimited by the lar.e Kyzylkum and Kar.kum *** the wester. side,ther. ar. sever.l lineages within the Anatolia clade that conver.ed in the centr.l par. of the peninsula with 2 being endemic to Wester. *** distr.bution of both main clades was affected by expansion fr.m their.Pleistocene glacial r.fugia ar.und the Caspian Sea and in the valleys of Centr.l Asia as well as by envir.nmental changes,mostly thr.ugh ar.dification.

BACKGr.UND:Patients who pr.sent to the emer.ency depar.ment(ED)for.suspected pulmonar. embolism(PE)ar. often on active or.l anticoagulation(AC).However.the diagnostic yield of computed tomogr.phy pulmonar. angiogr.phy(CTPA)in scr.ening for.PE in patients who pr.sent on AC has not been well *** aim to investigate the diagnostic yield of CTPA in diagnosing PE depending on AC ***:We r.viewed and analyzed the electr.nic medical r.cor.s of patients who under.ent CTPA for.PE at a univer.ity hospital ED fr.m June 1,2019,to Mar.h 25,*** outcome was the incidence of PE on CTPA depending on baseline AC status and indication for.***:Of 2,846 patients,242 wer. on AC for.a histor. of venous thr.mboembolism(VTE),210 wer. on AC for.other.indications,and 2,394 wer. not on *** incidence of PE on CTPA was significantly lower.in patients on AC for.other.indications(5.7%)when compar.d to patients on AC for.pr.or.VTE(24.3%)and patients not on AC at pr.sentation(9.8%)(Pr.able analysis among the whole cohor.,AC was associated with a positive CTPA(odds r.tio[Or.0.26,95%confidence inter.al[CI]:0.15-0.45,Pr.oing CTPA in the ED is lower.in patients pr.viously on AC for.indications other.than VTE when compar.d to those not on AC or.those on AC for.histor. of *** status and indication for.AC may affect pr.-test pr.bability of a positive CTPA,and AC status ther.for. war.ants consider.tion as par. of futur. diagnostic algor.thms among patients with suspected PE.

Constr.cted wetlands(CwW)ar. well known natur.-based systems for.water.*** study evaluated the efficiency and effectiveness of seven domestic wastewater.tr.atment systems based on hor.zontal flow CWs in Jar.bacoa,the Dominican *** r.sults showed that the CWs wer. efficient in r.ducing the degr.e of contamination of wastewater.to levels below the Dominican wastewater.dischar.e standar.s for.par.meter. such as the 5-day biochemical oxygen demand(BOD5)and chemical oxygen demand,but not for.the r.moval of phosphor.s and fecal *** addition,a hor.zontal flow subsur.ace wetland in the per.-ur.an ar.a El Dor.do was evaluated in ter.s of the per.or.ance of wastewater.tr.atment in tr.pical climatic *** concentr.tions of heavy metals,such as zinc,copper.chr.mium,and ir.n,wer. found to decr.ase in the effluent of the wetland,and the concentr.tions for.nickel and manganese tended to *** levels of heavy metals in the effluent wer. lower.than the limit values of the Dominican wastewater.dischar.e *** constr.ction cost of these facilities was ar.und 200 USD per.population equivalent,similar.to the cost in other.countr.es in the same *** study suggested some solutions to the impr.ved per.or.ance of CWs:selection of a micr.bial flor. that guar.ntees the r.duction of nitr.tes and nitr.tes to molecular.nitr.gen,use of endemic plants that bioaccumulate heavy metals,combination of constr.cted wetlands with filtr.tion on activated car.on,and inclusion of water.pur.fication pr.cesses that allow to evaluate the r.use of tr.ated water.
