Background:The use of industrial by-products rich in bioactive compounds as animal feeds can reduce greenhouse gas *** leaves silage(PLS)was supplemented to dairy cows'diet and evaluated in vitro(Exp.1;Rusitec)and in vivo(Exp.2,cannulated lactating dairy cows and Exp.3,non-cannulated lactating dairy cows).The study investigated the PLS effect on ruminal fermentation,microbial populations,methane production and concentration,dry matter intake(DMI),and fatty acid(FA)proportions in ruminal fluid and ***:Several variables of the ruminal fluid were changed in response to the inclusion of *** Exp.1,the p H increased linearly and quadratically,whereas ammonia and total volatile fatty acid(VFA)concentrations increased linearly and cubically.A linear,quadratic,and cubical decrease in methane concentration was observed with increasing dose of the ***.2 revealed an increase in ruminal p H and ammonia concentrations,but no changes in total VFA *** of PLS increased ruminal propionate(at 3 h and 6 h after feeding),isovalerate,and valerate *** of PLS also affected several populations of the analyzed *** abundances of protozoa and bacteria were increased,whereas the abundance of archaea were decreased by *** production decreased by 11%and 14%in PLS-fed cows compared to the control in Exp.2 and 3,***.3 revealed a reduction in the milk protein and lactose yield in the PLS-fed cows,but no effect on DMI and energy corrected milk ***,the PLS diet affected the ruminal biohydrogenation process with an increased proportions of C18:3 cis-9 cis-12 cis-15,conjugated linoleic acid,C18:1 trans-11 FA,polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA),and reduced n6/n3 ratio and saturated fatty acids(SFA)proportion in *** relative transcript abundances of the 5 of 6 analyzed genes regulating FA metabolism ***:The dietary PLS replacing the alfalfa silage at 60 g/kg diet can red

Background:Biochemical and hematological parameters are important tools for assessing the physiological profile of vital organs,and can be recorded to create reference values used for clinical diagnosis of *** research laboratories lack the means to establish their own set of reference parameters for use in their research,and while there are articles in the literature that discuss laboratory parameters for healthy BALB/c mice,few studies address the evaluation of these parameters in pathological situations,such as in mice inoculated with Ehrlich ***:BALB/c-FMABC mice previously inoculated with Ehrlich tumor were maintained under appropriate *** samples were taken for analysis of hematological parameters using automated and semi-automated equipment to create a set of the animal welfare parameters for ***:Results were obtained for all the hematological parameters for all groups *** showed:statistically significant differences between the initial and final tumor weight;comparable initial tumour volume and weight;an increase in leukocytes in the 7-day group with a characteristic predominance of lymphocytes and neutrophils;statistically significant changes in RDW in the 21-day group and in the welfare parameters in the 28-day ***:The study successfully defined and established reference values for hematological and welfare parameters for all groups analyzed.

α-Siphons of a Suboptimal Control Model of a Subclass of petri Nets

It has been a hot research topic to synthesize maximally permissive controllers with fewest monitors. So far, all maximally permissive control models for a well-known benchmark are generalized petri net, which com-plicates the system. In addition, they all relied on time-consuming reachability analysis. Uzam and Zhou ap-ply First-met-bad-marking (FBM) method to the benchmark to achieve a near maximal permissive control policy with the advantage of no weighted control (WC) arcs. To improve the state of the art, it is interesting to synthesize optimal controller with as few weighted arcs as possible since it is unclear how to optimize the control for siphon involving WC arcs, This paper explores the condition to achieve optimal controller with-out WC and defining a new type of siphon, called α-siphon. If the condition is not met, one can apply the technique by Piroddi et al. to synthesize optimal controllers with WC.

Controllability of Strongly and Weakly Dependent Siphons under Disturbanceless Control

Li and Zhou propose to add monitors Vs to elementary siphons S only while controlling the rest of dependent siphons - important for large systems but far from being maximally permissive. The control policy for weakly dependent siphons (WDS) is rather conservative due to some negative terms in the controllability. We show that this is no longer true as can be shown that it has the same controllability as that for strongly dependent siphons.

The habanero chili （Capsicum chinense Jacq.） is a species of great demand in the domestic and international markets. One problem in the cultivation is low percentage of seed germination. There is little information on the use of promoters and imbibition time to increase this parameter, without compromising the quality of seedlings. In this context, authors assessed the independent effect of GAs （gibberellic acid） and KNOs at concentrations of 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 mg·L1. Seeds without preconditioning were the witness. The experimental unit was a petri dish with 50 seeds on filter paper placed equidistant. There were three replicates per treatment and the experimental design was randomized complete block. Imbibition time was 24 h. The experimental units were kept in an incubator at 22 ± 2 ℃. From the time of planting and for periods of 24 h for 14 d, experimental units were reviewed to determine the time at the beginning of germination and the total cumulative percentage. The authors also determined the number of normal and abnormal seedlings, the length of hypocotyl and radicle, weight of fresh and dry matter of seedlings. On the fifth day after sowing in vitro, concentrations of 500 mg·L^-1 of GAs, 300 and 400 mg·L^-1 KNO3, increased 208% the percentage of seed germination of habanero chile. On day 14 after sowing in vitro concentrations of 500 mg·L^-1 GA3, 300 and 400 mg·L^-1 KNO3, increased 23% normal seedlings and 40% dry matter thereof, with respect to seeds obtained without preconditioning. Unconditioned seeds before sowing produced 125% more seedlings.
