Road accidents are one of the most relevant causes of injuries and death worldwide,and therefore,they constitute a significant field of research on the use of advanced algorithms and techniques to analyze and predict traffic accidents and determine the most relevant elements that contribute to road *** research of road accident prediction aims to respond to the challenge of offer tools to generate a more secure mobility environment,and ultimately,save *** paper aims to provide an overview of the state of the art in the prediction of road accidents through machine learning algorithms and advanced techniques for analyzing information,such as convolutional neural networks and long short-term memory networks,among other deep learning ***,in this article,a compendium and study of the most used data sources for the road accident forecast is *** a classification is proposed according to its origin and characteristics,such as open data,measurement technologies,onboard equipment and social media *** the analysis of the information,the different algorithms employed to make predictions about road accidents are listed and compared,as well as their applicability depending on the types of data being analyzed,along with the results obtained and their ease of interpretation and *** best results reported by the authors are obtained when two or more analytic techniques are combined,in such a way that analysis of the obtained results is *** the future challenges in road traffic forecasting lies the enhancement of the scope of the proposed models and predictions by the incorporation of heterogeneous data sources,that include geo spatial data,information from traffic volume,traffic statistics,video,sound,text and sentiment from social media,that many authors concur that can improve the precision and accuracy of the analysis and predictions.

Memristive crossbar arrays (McAs) offer parallel data storage and processing for energy-efficient neuromorphic computing. However, most wafer-scale McAs that are compatible with complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (cMOS) technology still suffer from substantially larger energy consumption than biological synapses, due to the slow kinetics of forming conductive paths inside the memristive units. Here we report wafer-scale Ag2S-based McAs realized using cMOS-compatible processes at temperatures below 160 degrees c. Ag2S electrolytes supply highly mobile Ag+ ions, and provide the Ag/Ag2S interface with low silver nucleation barrier to form silver filaments at low energy costs. By further enhancing Ag+ migration in Ag2S electrolytes via microstructure modulation, the integrated memristors exhibit a record low threshold of approximately - 0.1 V, and demonstrate ultra-low switching-energies reaching femtojoule values as observed in biological synapses. The low-temperature process also enables McA integration on polyimide substrates for applications in flexible electronics. Moreover, the intrinsic nonidealities of the memristive units for deep learning can be compensated by employing an advanced training algorithm. An impressive accuracy of 92.6% in image recognition simulations is demonstrated with the McAs after the compensation. The demonstrated McAs provide a promising device option for neuromorphic computing with ultra-high energy-efficiency.

Background： Feeding higher-energy prepartum is a common practice in the dairy industry. However, recent data underscore how it could reduce performance, deepen negative energy balance, and augment inflammation and oxidative stress in fresh cows. We tested the effectiveness of rumen-protected methionine in preventing the negative effect of feeding a higher-energy prepartum. Multiparous Holstein cows were fed a control lower-energy diet（cON, 1.24 Mcal/kg DM; high-straw） during the whole dry period（-50 d）, or were switched to a higher-energy（OVE, 1.54 Mcal/kg DM）, or OVE plus Smartamine M（OVE ＋ SM; Adisseo NA） during the last 21 d before *** cows received the same lactation diet（1.75 Mcal/kg DM）. Smartamine M was top-dressed on the OVE diet（0.07% of DM） from -21 through 30 d in milk（DIM）. Liver samples were obtained via percutaneous biopsy at -10, 7 and 21 DIM. Expression of genes associated with energy and lipid metabolism, hepatokines, methionine cycle, antioxidant capacity and inflammation was ***： Postpartal dry matter intake, milk yield, and energy-corrected milk were higher in cON and OVE ＋ SM compared with OVE. Furthermore, milk protein and fat percentages were greater in OVE ＋ SM compared with cON and OVE. Expression of the gluconeogenic gene PcK1 and the lipid-metabolism transcription regulator PPARA was again greater with cON and OVE ＋ SM compared with OVE. Expression of the lipoprotein synthesis enzyme MTTP was lower in OVE ＋ SM than cON or OVE. Similarly, the hepatokine FGF21, which correlates with severity of negative energy balance, was increased postpartum only in OVE compared to the other two groups. These results indicate greater liver metabolism and functions to support a greater production in OVE ＋ SM. Background： Main objectives were to determine to what extent Smartamine M（SM） supplementation to a prepartal higher-energy diet could alter neutrophil（PMN） and liver tissue immunometabolic biomarkers, and whether those responses were comparable to those in cows fed a prepartal lower-energy diet（cON）.Results： Twenty-eight multiparous Holstein cows were fed cON（NEL= 1.24 Mcal/kg DM） during d-50 to d-22 relative to calving. From d-21 to calving, cows were randomly assigned to a higher-energy diet（OVE, n = 9; NEL= 1.54 Mcal/kg DM）, OVE plus SM（OVE ＋ SM, n = 10; SM = 0.07 % of DM） or remained on cON（n = 9）. Al cows received the same basal lactation diet（NEL= 1.75 Mcal/kg DM）. Supplementation of SM（OVE ＋ SM） continued until 30 d postpartum. Liver biopsies were harvested at d-10, 7, and 21 relative to parturition. Blood PMN isolated at-10, 3, and 21 d relative to calving was used to evaluate gene expression. As expected, OVE increased liver lipid content postpartum; however,cows fed OVE ＋ SM or cON had lower concentrations than OVE. compared with OVE, cows in cON and OVE ＋ SM had greater DMI postpartum and milk production. Furthermore, cows fed OVE ＋ SM had the greatest milk protein and fat percentage and lowest milk Scc despite having intermediate PMN phagocytic capacity. Adaptations in PMN gene expression in OVE ＋ SM cows associated with the lower Scc were gradual increases from-10 to 21 d in genes that facilitate migration into inflammatory sites（SELL, ITGAM）, enzymes essential for reducing reactive oxygen metabolites（SOD1, SOD2）, and a transcription factor（s） required for controlling PMN development（RXRA）. The greater expression of TLR4 on d 3, key for activation of innate immunity due to inflammation, in OVE compared with cON cows suggests a more pronounced inflammatory state. Analysis of crime scenes involving single-fire-gun projectiles requires the determination of the direction of arrival of a projectile at the target and other factors to reconstruct *** movement of a projectile can be analyzed by applying Euler’s equations to a solid symmetrical rigid *** present work starts from a Newtonian reformulation of these equations to show that,in the presence of a gravitational field,the system can be expressed with a complex variable nonlinear equation,where the inclusion of small nutation variables allows us to find possible *** a particular case,we analyzed the movement of a 9-mm projectile fired from distances greater than 1 m to demonstrate that the direction of arrival of the projectile at the target cannot be traced by a stick placed in the target hole,as is usually performed in crime investigations.A series of shots were fired from distances varying between 1 m and 7 *** data were recorded on Riemann planes of projection for the description of nutation and precession motions,allowing the observation of the motion dynamics of the *** show that the direction of arrival at the target can be determined approximately from the analysis of the nutation and precession curves through Riemann planes of *** results presented in this work will allow more accurate judgements to be made in judicial investigations.

Efects of solution chemistry on arsenic(V) removal by low-cost adsorbents

Natural and anthropogenic arsenic （As） contamination of water sources pose serious health concerns, especially for small communities in rural areas. This study assessed the applicability of three industrial byproducts （coal fly ash, lignite, and green waste compost） as the low-cost adsorbents for As（V） removal under various field-relevant conditions （dissolved oxygen, As（V）/Fe ratio, solution pH, and presence of competing species）. The physico-chemical properties of the adsorbents were characterized by XRD, XRF, FT-IR, and NMR analysis. Batch experiments demonstrated that coal fly ash could provide effective As（V） removal （82.1%-95%） because it contained high content of amorphous iron/aluminium hydroxides for As（V） adsorption and dissolvable calcium minerals for calcium arsenate precipitation. However, the addition of lignite and green waste compost was found unfavourable since they hindered the As（V） removal by 10%-42% possibly due to dissolution of organic matter and ternary arsenate-iron-organic matter complexes. On the other hand, higher concentrations of dissolved iron （comparing As（V）/Fe ratios of 1：1 and 1：10） and dissolved oxygen （comparing 0.2 and 6 mg/L） only marginally enhanced the As（V） removal at pH 6 and 8. Thus, addition of dissolved iron, water aeration, or pH adjustment became unnecessary because coal fly ash was able to provide effective As（V） removal under the natural range of geochemical conditions. Moreover, the presence of low levels of background competing （0.8 or 8 mg/L of humic acid, phosphate, and silicate） imposed little influence on As（V） removal, possibly because the high adsorption capacity of coal fly ash was far from exhaustion. These results suggested that coal fly ash was a potentially promising adsorbent that warranted further investigation.

This paper presents a new Long-range generalized predictive controller in the synchronous reference frame for a wind energy system doubly-fed induction generator based. This controller uses the state space equations that consider the rotor current and voltage as state and control variables, to execute the predictive control action. Therefore, the model of the plant must be transformed into two discrete transference functions, by means of an auto-regressive moving average model, in order to attain a discrete and decoupled controller, which makes it possible to treat it as two independent single-input single-output systems instead of a magnetic coupled multiple-input multiple-output system. For achieving that, a direct power control strategy is used, based on the past and future rotor currents and voltages estimation. The algorithm evaluates the rotor current predictors for a defined prediction horizon and computes the new rotor voltages that must be injected to controlling the stator active and reactive powers. To evaluate the controller performance, some simulations were made using Matlab/Simulink. Experimental tests were carried out with a small-scale prototype assuming normal operating conditions with constant and variable wind speed profiles. Finally, some conclusions respect to the dynamic performance of this new controller are summarized.

An entropy-stabilized multicomponent ultrahigh-temperature ceramic(UHTc)coating,(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2),on a graphite substrate was in-situ sintered by spark plasma sintering(SPs)from constituent transition metal diboride ***(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2) coating had a hardness of 31.2±2.1 GPa and resisted 36.9 GPa of stress before delamination,as observed at the *** temperature-dependent thermal properties of the multicomponent diboride(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2) were obtained by molecular dynamics(MD)simulations driven by a machine learning force field(MLFF)trained on density functional theory(DFT)*** thermal conductivity,density,heat capacity,and coefficient of thermal expansion obtained by the MD simulations were used in time-dependent thermal stress finite element model(FEM)*** low thermal conductivity(component diboride coupled with its similar coefficient of thermal expansion to that of graphite indicated that stresses of less than 10 GPa were generated at the interface at high temperatures,and therefore,the coating was mechanically resistant to the thermal stress induced during *** experiments at 220℃ showed that the multicomponent diboride coating was resistant to thermal stresses with no visible cracking or *** ablation mechanisms were mechanical denudation and evaporation of B_(2)O_(5) and light V-Ti oxides,which caused a decrease in the mass and thickness of the coating and resulted in mass and linear ablation rates of-0.51 mg·s^(-1) and -1.38μm·s^(-1),respectively,after 60 *** findings demonstrated the thermal and mechanical stability of multicomponent entropy-stabilized diborides as coatings for carbon materials in engineering components under extreme environments.
