Effect of exercise interventions and prophylactic devices on reducing peroneal muscle reaction time by sudden ankle perturbation:A systematic review and meta-analysis

This study investigated the human slip prevention strategies when walking on slippery *** male subjects performed level walking without slips under sixteen simulated construction site ***,kinetics and electromyography parameters were *** slipperiness of the walkway conditions were quantified by the dynamic coefficient of friction（DCOF）.Gait changes in slippery condition included prolonged force and pressure exertion in hallux and lateral toes,more ankle plantarflexion moment during 30-50%stance,less knee extension moment during 10-30% stance,higher muscle activity at rectus femoris in late stance,and in gastrocnemius in swing *** strategies helped achieving walking without slips by reducing the RCOF from 0.188 to 0.092,which was just lower to the dropped available friction（DCOF=0.107）.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether interventions could improve peroneal reaction time in both healthy and those with injured ankle participants based on a systematic review and *** electronic search of the following database was carried out:MEDLINE,ScienceDirect and SPORTDiscus(1965–2020).Studies utilising sudden ankle inversion to measure peroneal reaction times were selected.28 studies were included for the systematic review,and 18 studies for the *** peroneal reaction time for pre-and post-intervention were compared into two groups,Group 1 was therapeutic exercise intervention,and Group 2 was prophylactic *** results showed a statistically significant difference in reduced peroneal reaction time in favour of participants in the exercise group(SMD=0.74,95%CI[1.09,0.39],p<0.001,I^(2)80%),while the prophylactic devices group showed no significant difference between control and intervention *** effect size measured was 0.81 and 0.31 in Group 1 and Group 2,*** peroneal muscle onset reaction time post-intervention,which was found following therapeutic exercise,should be considered for rehabilitation and preventing of ankle sprain injury.

Balance improvement could contribute to ankle stability for the prevention of ankle *** electrical stimulation(FES)is an effective way of augmenting muscle activity and improving *** study investigated the effect of FES of peroneal muscles on single-and double-leg *** healthy females(age=23:1±1:6 years,height=1:63±0:07m,and weight=63:7±9:9 kg)performed single-and double-leg standing balance tests with eyes open and closed before and after 15-minute FES intervention during treadmill running at a comfortable,self-selected *** of peroneal muscles was provided bilaterally,using an Odstock Dropped Foot *** total excursion of the centre of pressure(COP)was calculated to assess the standing balance control *** total excursion of COP in single-and double-leg stance with eyes open reduced significantly after FES intervention by 14.7%(p0:05).Limb preference did not account for balance *** significant difference in total excursion of COP was found between preferred and less preferred limbs with both visual conditions(p>0:05).FES of peroneal muscles improved standing balance control with eyes open in double-leg and single-leg stance and with eyes closed in double-leg *** improvements in balance control with FES treatment did not vary concerning limb preference.

The robotic surgical system has been applied in liver surgery. However,controversies concerns exist regarding a variety of factors including the safety,feasibility, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness of robotic surgery. To promote the development of robotic hepatectomy, this study aimed to evaluate the current status of robotic hepatectomy and provide sixty experts' consensus and recommendations to promote its development. Based on the World Health Organization Handbook for Guideline Development, a Consensus Steering Group and a Consensus Development Group were established to determine the topics, prepare evidence-based documents, and generate recommendations. The GRADE Grid method and Delphi vote were used to formulate the recommendations. A total of 22 topics were prepared analyzed and widely discussed during the 4 meetings. Based on the published articles and expert panel opinion, 7 recommendations were generated by the GRADE method using an evidence-based method, which focused on the safety, feasibility, indication,techniques and cost-effectiveness of hepatectomy. Given that the current evidences were low to very low as evaluated by the GRADE method, further randomized-controlled trials are needed in the future to validate these recommendations.

Ankle sprains have been one of the most prevalent injuries in active *** study aims to summarize the evidence of the effect of the biophysical techniques on balance and postural control in patients with ankle instability,and provide an overview of the application of biophysical interventions in patients with chronic ankle instability(CAI).A systematic search was conducted to include ten articles from 1989 to 2022 in this *** articles were classified into two categories of balance and postural *** authors identified a total of 1267 papers and decided to include 10 of them in the systematic *** Star Excursion Balance Test(SEBT)technique can help clinicians identify balance deficits and postural control,including a comprehensive evaluation of joint stability,strength,and sensorimotor function that would be undetected with single-leg stance static *** ten studies involved 481 participants with a mean age of 25.5±6.3 *** mean duration time of the interventions was 5.4±2.4 weeks and the mean session training duration time was 36.7±17.0 *** Kinesio taping(KT)and both the soft and semi-rigid orthosis brace may be productive in enhancing dynamic balance assessed by Star Excursion Balance *** use of SG may improve perceived ankle instability and dynamic postural control(i.e.,anterior reach during SEBT)of patients with *** the intervention group,no homogeneity results in uncertainties about which techniques of intervention affect balance and postural control.

Characterizing the diversity and structure of host–parasite communities is crucial to understandingtheir eco-evolutionary *** and related haemosporidian parasites are responsible forfitness loss and mortality in bird species ***,despite exhibiting the greatest ornithologicalbiodiversity,avian haemosporidians from Neotropical regions are quite ***,we analyze the genetic diversity of bird haemosporidian parasites(Plasmodium andHaemoproteus)in 1,336 individuals belonging to 206 bird species to explore for differences in diversityof parasite lineages and bird species across 5 well-differentiated Peruvian *** 70 different haemosporidian lineages infecting 74 bird *** showed that 25 out ofthe 70 haplotypes had not been previously ***,we also identified 81 new host–parasite interactions representing new host records for these haemosporidian *** outcomesrevealed that the effective diversity(as well as the richness,abundance,and Shannon–Weaver index)for both birds and parasite lineages was higher in Amazon basin ***,we also showed that ecoregions with greater diversity of bird species also had highparasite richness,hence suggesting that host community is crucial in explaining parasite *** parasites were found in ecoregions with lower bird diversity,implying that the abundanceand richness of hosts may shape the exploitation strategy followed by haemosporidian *** outcomes reveal that Neotropical region is a major reservoir of unidentified *** studies analyzing host distribution and specificity of these parasites inthe tropics will provide important knowledge about phylogenetic relationships,phylogeography,and patterns of evolution and distribution of haemosporidian parasites.

We previously showed that the increase in nitric oxide (NO) levels and NO synthase (NOS) expression correlate with the progression of reactive astrocytosis and demyelination in the brains of 6-month-old taiep rats. Increased levels of NO can result in high concentration of peroxynitrite and thus cause tissue damage, which consists of lipoperoxidation of the cytoplasmic membrane, such as the myelin, and of apoptotic and necrotic cell-death. On this basis, we studied whether the increased NO production is associated with lipoperoxidation and cell death in the cerebellum and brainstem over the age (1, 3, 6, and 8 months) of taiep rats. The results were compared with those obtained in matched Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. We measured the levels of nitrites (NO production), malonyldialdehyde, and 4-hydroxyalkenal (lipoperoxidation) in brain tissue homogenates. The three NOS isoforms and cleaved caspase-3 were evaluated by using ELISA and immunostaining techniques. Our results showed that NO production and lipoperoxidation increased in the cerebellum and brainstem as the age of the taiep rats increased compared to SD rats. The overexpression of nNOS and iNOS were in the Purkinje cells, magnocellular neurons, and in oligodendrocytes, whereas the glial cells showed strong cleaved-caspase-3 immunoreactivity. In summary our results suggest that NO plays a role in the demyelination and cell death in the taiep rat.

基于世界顶级学术期刊的中国酒店研究概述

本文对1978年．2012年间发表在三大权威酒店期刊《Cornell Hospitality Quarterly》（CHQ）,《International Journal of Hospitality Management》（IJHM）以及《Journal of Hospitality ＆ Tourism Research》（JHTR）上的有关中国酒店研究的80篇文献进行了综述，以分析和展现国际上中国酒店研究的变革和发展。分析发现，中国酒店研究在近5年（2008-2012）的发展尤为迅猛，研究视角、研究方法、数据收集方式及分析方法都日趋多样和科学。在地区贡献上，以亚太地区为主，未来亟需更多跨地区的合作。但是，本文的文献回顾范围仍有待扩充，今后的综述研究可以尝试运用更多的分析标准以及标准之间的交叉制表分析。
