The presence of diatoms is accompanied by the production of a large amount of extracellular polymeric substances,which are mainly composed of *** exopolymer particles(TEP)are a large class of extracellular polymeric substances with high stickiness that promotes the formation of aggregates and marine snow,which affects marine bio-carbon pump *** purpose of this research was to determine how temperature increases affect the allocation of cellular carbohydrates and the formation and aggregation of *** results showed that the responses of two different diatom species(Thalassiosira weissflogii and Skeletonema marinoi)differed according to *** cell density and chlorophyll a concentration of the former were not significantly correlated with temperature,while those of the latter were significantly decreased with increasing *** indicates that the two species of diatom may have different heat tolerance ranges.A temperature increase will promote significant formation of TEP by both types of diatoms,including aggregation of *** as the temperature rises,meaning that the high temperature will produce an aggregate with a larger particle size and thus may increase the sedimentation rate of organic ***,the TEP aggregation of *** did not increase;therefore,its particle size was smaller,and so it may remain on the sea surface at high temperatures for longer *** influences have a profound impact on the biogeochemical cycling of carbon.

A laboratory fluidized bed reactor was used to investigate the fluidization behavior and reducibility of various iron ore *** was chosen as a reducing agent across a temperature range of 873-1073 *** magnetite ore used exhibited strong sticking behavior after the initiation of metallic iron *** other tested ores fluidized sufficiently well when subjected to the same high reduction *** kinetic analysis was conducted using a previously developed model to include three rate-limiting step *** trend of apparent activation energy was correlated with the degree of ***,the influence of varying the specific gas rate was *** results show the variation in reducibility as a result of different interactions,which influence the rate-limiting mechanisms of nucleation and the undertaken chemical reactions,which vary as a function of temperature and degree of *** apparent activation energies,determined from the reduction of wtistite to metallic iron,were in the range of 15-60 kJ/mol,depending on the iron ore used and the degree of *** change in apparent activation energy deriving from the increased specific gas rate can be explained by an increasing nucleation effect,especially at lower reduction temperatures.

Hexavalent chromium(cr(Ⅵ))is a water-soluble pollutant in soil and groundwater,the mobility,bioavailability,and toxicity of which can be controlled by transforming to less mobile and more environmentally benign cr(Ⅲ)by ways of *** review focused on recent advances in identifying the reaction pathways,kinetics,and products of iron-based techniques for cr(Ⅵ)*** also examines new information regarding remobilization of cr(Ⅲ)in the existence of complexing ligands and manganese(Mn)of different oxidation states.A range of iron-based techniques can remove cr(Ⅵ)from water by adsorption or reduction-coprecipitation ***,the success of a chromium treatment or remediation strategy requires the stability of the cr(Ⅲ)-containing solids with respect to solubilization or reoxidation in the settings they are *** is ubiquitous in aquatic and terrestrial environments,and the redox cycling of manganese may greatly influence the fate,transport,and distribution of *** of redox reactions of chromium,iron,and manganese involves reaction pathways not only in the aqueous phase but also at solid-aqueous *** provide a quantitative understanding of these processes,it is essential to develop mechanistically based kinetic and transport *** research should be made on iron-based treatment of cr(Ⅵ)-contaminated water and soils and the stability of the subsequently produced cr(Ⅲ)-containing solids at environmentally relevant conditions,which will support improved predictions of chromium's environmental fate and transport and aid in decision-making for remediation and treatment of cr contamination.

Transplantation of neuronal precursors derived from human pluripotent stem cells is a promising therapy for the treatment of neurological disorders associated with neuronal loss,such us neurodegenerative diseases,brain trauma and *** functional integration of grafted neurons differentiated from stem cells into the host injured neuronal circuitry has been a major challenge in cell therapy strategies for brain repair(Palma-Tortosa et al.,2021).Even though other cell types or mechanisms may provide modest clinical improvements,neuronal replacement and reconstruction of the damaged area are crucial for an optimal and long-term recovery.

The article is based on collection of small terrestrial mammals(Soriculus nigrescens,Episoriculus caudatus, Neodon sikimensis,Alticola stoliczkanus, Niviventer eha and Ochotona roylei) collected in the Barun Valley, east Nepal in the pre-monsoon period of *** and ecological characteristics and altitudinal stratification of these species are analysed, depending both on abiotic(geomorphological and climatic) and biotic(vegetation, and human presence and activities)factors. All the captured mammals were examined for ecto- and endoparasities. Infestations of Trombiculid mites and Ixodid ticks were tightly linked to the local habitat where these ectoparasites must survive during their nonparasitic phase. Analysis of their occurrence completes the reconstruction of migration routes during the expansion of small mammals into the Barun Valley and the exacerbating influence of human activities(summer pasturing,mountaineering expeditions and trekking parties).An indicator of anthropogenic influence was the occurrence of synantropic flies. The potential medical importance of these findings is *** is assumed a possible occurrence of arboviruses transmitted by ticks and also rickettsioses(transmitted by ticks and chigger mites). As far bacteriological infections, plague cannot be excluded.

High-quality data remains scarce in terms of optimal management strategies in the elderly inflammatory bowel disease(IBd)***,available trials have been mostly retrospective,of small sample size,likely owing to underrepresentation of such a population in the major randomized controlled ***,in the last five years,there has been a steady increase in the number of published trials,helping clarify the estimated benefits and toxicity of the existing IBd *** the Everhov trial,prescription strategies were recorded over an average follow-up of 4.2 years.A minority of elderly IBd patients(1%-3%)were treated with biologics within the five years following diagnosis,whilst almost a quarter of these patients were receiving corticosteroid therapy at year five of follow-up,despite its multiple *** low use of biologic agents in real-life settings likely stems from limited data suggesting lower efficacy and higher *** minireview will aim to highlight current outcome measurements as it portends the elderly IBd patient,as well as summarize the available therapeutic strategies in view of a growing body of evidence.

Wingless/Int （Wnt） signaling pathways are signal transduction mechanisms that have been widely studied In the field of embryogen- esis. Recent work has established a critical role for these pathways in brain development, especially of midbrain dopaminergic neu- rones, However, the fundamental importance of Wnt signaling for the normal function of mature neurones in the adult central nervous system has also lately been demonstrated by an increasing number of studies. Parkinson＇s disease （Pd） is the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disease worldwide and is currently incurable. This debilitating disease is characterized by the progres- sive loss of a subset of midbrain dopaminergic neurones in the substontla nigm leadingto typical extrapyramidal motor symptoms. The aetiology of Pd is poorly understood but work performed over the Last two decades has identified a growing number of genetic defects that underlie this condition. Herewe review a growing body of data connecting genes implicated in Pd--most notablythe PARKgenes-- with Wnt signaling. These observations provide clues to the normal function of these proteins in healthy neurones and suggest that deregulated Wnt signaling might be a frequent pathomechanlsm leading to Pd. These observations have implications for the patho- genesis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases in general.
