Nitric oxide(No)is an essential reactive oxygen species and a signal molecule in *** several studies have proposed the occurrence of oxidative No production,only reductive routes for No production,such as the nitrate(No_(3)^(-))-upper-reductase pathway,have been evidenced to date in land ***,plants grown axenically with ammonium as the sole source of nitrogen exhibit contents of nitrite and No3−,evidencing the existence of a metabolic pathway for oxidative production of *** hypothesized that oximes,such as indole-3-acetaldoxime(IAox),a precursor to indole-3-acetic acid,are intermediate oxidation products in No *** detected the production of No from IAox and other oximes catalyzed by peroxidase(PoD)enzyme using both 4-amino-5-methylamino-2′,7′-difluorescein fluorescence and *** stimulated the reaction,while superoxide dismutase inhibited ***,mouse No synthase can also use IAox to produce No at a lower rate than *** provided a full mechanism for PoD-dependent No production from IAox consistent with the experimental data and supported by density functional theory *** showed that the addition of IAox to extracts from Medicago truncatula increased the in vitro production of No,while in vivo supplementation of IAox and other oximes increased the number of lateral roots,as shown for No donors,and a more than 10-fold increase in IAox dehydratase ***,we found that in vivo supplementation of IAox increased No production in Arabidopsis thaliana wild-type plants,while prx33-34 mutant plants,defective in PoD33-34,had reduced *** data show that the release of No by IAox,as well as its auxinic effect,explain the superroot ***,our study reveals that plants produce No utilizing diverse molecules such as oximes,PoD,and flavins,which are widely distributed in the plant kingdom,thus introducing a long-awaited oxidative pathway to No production in plants.T

The IndyCar series distinguishes itself by providing the same design and operation of the single-seater to its *** difference in times is then attributable to the skills of the drivers,but considering the data from the races could test this *** objective of this work was to establish a trajectory model to predict race times.A cross-sectional,correlational,and explanatory work was carried out with a sample of 18,474 records in the period from 2020 to 2023 of the IndyCar *** results show that the time span predicts the time *** relation to the studies of acceptance of the technology,the adjustment of this to human capacities to explain the time differences in the series of racing cars is discussed.

optical coherence tomography （oCT） has gaine. considerable attention in interventional cardiovascular medicine.and is currently used in clinical settings to assess atherosclerotic lesions and to optimize stent placement. Artery imaging at the cellular level constitutes the first step towards cardiovascular molecular imaging, which represents a major advance in the development of personalized noninvasive therapies. In this work we demonstrate that cardiovascular oCT can be used to detect individual cells suspended in biocompatible fluids. Importantly, the combination of this catheter-based clinical technique with gold nanoshells （GNSs） as intracellular contrast agents led to a substantial enhancement in the backscattered signal produced by individual cells. This cellular contrast enhancement was attributed to the large backscattering cross-section of GNSs at the oCT laser wavelength （1,300 nm）. A simple intensity analysis of oCT cross-sectional images of suspended cells makes it possible to identify the sub-population of living cells that successfully incorporated GNSs. The gene.alizability of this method was demonstrated using two different cell line. （HeLa and Jurkat cells）. This work provides novel insights into cardiovascular molecular imaging using specifically modified GNSs.

This paper offers a systematic literature review of real-time detection and classification of Power Quality Disturbances(PQDs).A particular focus is given to voltage sags and notches,as voltage sags cause huge economic losses while research on voltage notches is still very incipient.A systematic method based on scientometrics,text similarity and the analytic hierarchy process is proposed to structure the review and select the most relevant literature.A biblio-metric analysis is then performed on the bibliographic data of the literature to identify relevant statistics such as the evolution of publications over time,top publishing countries,and the distribution by relevant topics.A set of articles is subsequently selected to be critically *** critical review is structured in steps for real-time detection and classification of PQDs,namely,input data preparation,preprocessing,transformation,feature extraction,feature selec-tion,detection,classification,and *** associated with the type of disturbance(s)addressed in the literature are also explored throughout the review,including the perspectives of those studies aimed at multiple PQDs,or specifically focused on voltage sags or voltage *** real-time performance of the reviewed tools is also ***,unsolved issues are discussed,and prospects are highlighted.

The development and implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices are indispensable as alternatives to pesticide use and to keep populations of soil-borne.plant pathogens at levels that do not affect crop *** present research evaluates the incidence of soil-borne.phytopathogens on the pine.pple variety MD-2,which was subjected to different treatments:Incorporation of Crotalaria juncea into the soil(organic amendment),application of dolomitic lime to soil(inorganic amendment),and the use of plastic mulch covering the *** the crop cycle(15 months),the following variables were evaluated:plant height(cm),fruit weight(kg·plant^(−1)),crop yield(ton·ha^(−1)),the bud root disease incidence caused by Phytophthora nicotianae,number of soil phytoparasitic ne.atodes and colony-forming-units(CFUs)of soil fungi and *** results indicate that Crotalaria juncea treatment reduced the pathogen population(ne.atode and oomycetes)at levels that did not affect crop development,so that yield increased(18–20%).The incorporation of *** into the soil as an organic amendment favors the populations of fungi disease suppressors(Trichoderma-Aspergillus).The phytoparasitic ne.atodes(Meloidogyne.sp.,Pratylenchus sp.,and Mesocricone.a sp.)and oomycetes(Phytophthora spp.,and Pythium spp.)showed a reduction of their population levels by effects of organic amendment(***).The plastic mulch was also effective,probably due to the maintenance of optimal condition to crop growth and weed ***,the dolomitic lime application had the poorest effect under the conditions of the study area on the variables *** described observations are characteristics of a system-based approach for the potential management of soil-borne.pathogens of pine.pple MD-2 in Veracruz,México.

Influence of Livestock Soil Eutrophication on Floral Composition in the Pyrene.s Mountains

Livestock behaviour in the Pyrene.s includes free grazing and a long resting period that provokes the accumulation of dung and urine.in some places,so-called camping areas. The aims of this study were (i) to analyze any change in floral composition,and in nutritional and chemical contents of plants in a livestock camping area; and (ii) to relate the floral composition with soil chemical properties. In a line.r transect,five sampling zone. were established,from the centre of the camping area to the surrounding Nardus stricta-dominant pasture. The above ground plant biomass and the topsoil were sampled in each zone.with 6 replicates per zone. Plant species were classified and weighed to calculate above ground biomass,nutritional and chemical contents,and Shannon diversity and evenne.s indices. Additionally,soils were sampled in two periods,at the beginning and at the end of grazing period. Soil available nutrients (nitrate,ammonium,phosphorus,potassium,calcium and magne.ium),total nitrogen,organic carbon and pH were measured. Plant chemical contents (protein,lignin and others) were significantly related to the proportions of grasses,legumes and other plants; so,the protein content is positively correlated with legumes plant biomass while lignin content is ne.atively correlated with grasses. Both plant and soil nutrients increased line.rly towards the centre of the camping area. However,the relationship among plant species richne.s,diversity and evenne.s relative to its position along the studied transect was bell-shaped. From the outskirts to the centre of the camping area,plants with low nutrient demand were progressively replaced by those with medium and high nutrients demand and by pione.rs. Nardus stricta-dominant pasture has low plant diversity and plant nutrient content as well as a poor soil nutrient availability. Background:The dynamics and structure of many bird communities are changing due to the global warming and changes in the land use and *** Ebro Valley constitutes one.of the chief wintering areas for several passerine.species in Iberia,and the reed beds spread across this Valley concentrate huge numbers of birds that use them to roost,while the surrounding agricultural areas serve as main foraging *** aims of this work are(1)to quantify how variable a non-breeding passerine.bird community associated to a reed bed area in the Ebro Valley is,and,(2)to test for the effect of weather on possible annual fluctuations in species’proportions at a regional/local ***:We used for that ringing data collected at Badina de Escudera lagoon(Navarra)over a 12-year ***:Though,overall,the assemblage did not vary strongly among years(most similarity values were>0.8),we still found a significant line.r effect of year on the proportion of captures of Reed Buntings(Emberiza schoeniclus),i.e.,the dominant species detected in our passerine.*** increasing loss of weight of Reed Buntings in the community was due to a progressive decrease in its ***:The structure and diversity of passerine.community in Badina Escudera was not influenced by meteorological conditions at a local scale,suggesting that local weather would not have an impact on numbers of Reed Buntings in winter.
