Design and optimization of a greener sinomenine hydrochloride preparation process considering variations among different batches of the medicinal herb

The current methods used to industrially produce sinomenine hydrochloride involve several issues,including high solvent toxicity,long process flow,and low atomic utilization efficiency,and the greenness scores of the processes are below 65 *** solve these problems,a new process using anisole as the extractant was *** exhibits high selectivity for sinomenine and can be connected to the subsequent water-washing *** alkalization of the medicinal material,heating extraction,water washing,and acidification crystallization were carried *** process was modeled and *** design space was *** recommended operating ranges for the critical process parameters were 3.0–4.0 h for alkalization time,60.0–80.0℃ for extraction temperature,2.0–3.0(volume ratio)for washing solution amount,and 2.0–2.4 mol·L^(-1) for hydrochloric acid *** new process shows good robustness because different batches of medicinal materials did not greatly impact crystal purity or sinomenine transfer *** sinomenine transfer rate was about 20%higher than that of industrial *** greenness score increased to 90 points since the novel process proposed in this research solves the problems of long process flow,high solvent toxicity,and poor atomic economy,better aligning with the concept of green chemistry.

Taxus cuspidata is a rare plant with important medicinal and ornamental *** at the obvious differences between wild and cultivated populations of *** from Northeast China,a total of 61 samples,that is,33 wild yews and 28 cultivated yews were used to analyze the differences and correlations of the kinship,genetic diversity,and genetic structure between them by specific length amplified fragment sequencing(SLAF-seq).Finally,470725 polymorphic SLAF tags and 58622 valid SNP markers were *** analysis showed that 61 samples were classified into 2 clusters:wild populations and cultivated populations,and some wild yews were categorized into the cultivated populations;the genetic diversity analysis showed that the Nei diversity index of wild populations(0.4068)was smaller than that of cultivated populations(0.4414),and the polymorphic information content(PIC)of wild populations(0.2861)was smaller than that of cultivated populations(0.3309).The genetic differentiation analysis showed that the total populations of gene diversity(H_(t))of cultivated and wild populations were respectively 0.8159 and 0.5685,the coefficient of gene differentiation(G_(st))of cultivated and wild populations was respectively 0.3021 and 0.1068,and the gene flow(N_(m))(2.4967)of wild populations was larger than cultivated populations(0.8199).The molecular variance(AMOVA)revealed that inter-population variation accounted for 29.57%of the total genetic variation,while intra-population variation accounted for 70.42% of the total genetic variation(p<0.001),this suggested that the genetic variation in the *** is mainly attributed to within-population *** conclusion,the genetic distance between geographical ecological groups of wild populations was generally smaller than that of cultivated populations,and the degree of genetic diversity and genetic differentiation was smaller than that of cultivated *** evident,the utilization of SLAF-seq technolog

This paper addresses the problem of predicting population density leveraging cellular station *** wireless communication devices are commonly used,cellular station data has become integral for estimating population figures and studying their movement,thereby implying significant contributions to urban ***,existing research grapples with issues pertinent to preprocessing base station data and the modeling of population *** address this,we propose methodologies for preprocessing cellular station data to eliminate any irregular or redundant *** preprocessing reveals a distinct cyclical characteristic and high-frequency variation in population ***,we devise a multi-view enhancement model grounded on the Transformer(MVformer),targeting the improvement of the accuracy of extended time-series population *** experiments,conducted on the above-mentioned population dataset using four alternate Transformer-based models,indicate that our proposedMVformer model enhances prediction accuracy by approximately 30%for both univariate and multivariate time-series prediction *** performance of this model in tasks pertaining to population prediction exhibits commendable results.

This study examined the evolution of morphology and nanostructure of soot particles from the plasma-flame interaction for various gas flow *** current study used both optical diagnostic and sampling methods to explore the soot production and combustion *** particles were characterized at the same positions downstream from the flame zone by thermophoretic sampling and transmission electron ***,X-ray diffraction analysis,and thermogravimetric analysis were performed to study the nanostructure and oxidation reactivity of soot.A reduction in soot concentration was found with the plasma addition,which illustrated an inhibition effect of plasma on soot *** increased gas flow rate promoted soot concentration since a growing number of carbons participated in the combustion *** on the gas flow rate(carbon content)variation and plasma activation,either liquid-like soot material with irregularly shaped protrusions or chain-like structure,or a mixture of both,were generated from the diffusion *** soot produced by plasma-flame interaction also demonstrated a high correlation between nanostructure and *** soot from lower carbon content with plasma activation had a shorter fringe length and larger fringe tortuosity related to higher oxidation *** the contrary,soot from the highest carbon content without plasma-flame interaction exhibited prevalent fullerene-like nanostructures with evident large or small shells and also had a higher carbonization degree resulting in lower oxidation reactivity.

The von Neumann bottleneck is a critical limitation in synaptic devices. Therefore, artificial synaptic devices resembling biological neuromorphic synapses have been developed to overcome the von Neumann bottleneck. However, synaptic devices require voltages, which results in considerable energy consumption. Here, photonic synaptic devices with the vertical structure of indium tin oxide（ITO）/SnO2/Al2O3/CsBi3I10/Au are fabricated, which can work in the self-powered mode owing to the photovoltaic effect endowed by a vertical multilayer structure. Several fundamental synaptic functions, such as excitatory postsynaptic current, paired-pulse facilitation, short-term plasticity（STP）, long-term plasticity（LTP）, pulse-frequency-dependent plasticity, transition of STP to LTP, and the learning experience are emulated. Moreover, Morse-coded external light information is decoded by self-powered photonic synaptic devices. The results indicate that self-powered photonic synaptic devices based on lead-free perovskites exhibit great potential for efficient neuromorphic computing and optical wireless communication.

Despite the considerable advancements in chemotherapy as a cornerstone modality in cancer treatment,the prevalence of complications and pre-existing diseases is on the rise among cancer patients along with prolonged survival and aging *** relationships between these disorders and cancer are intricate,bearing significant influence on the survival and quality of life of individuals with cancer and presenting challenges for the prognosis and outcomes of ***,we review the prevailing complications and comorbidities that often accompany chemotherapy and summarize the lessons to learn from inadequate research and management of this scenario,with an emphasis on possible strategies for reducing potential complications and alleviating comorbidities,as well as an overview of current preclinical cancer models and practical advice for establishing bio-faithful preclinical models in such complex context.

Scraping therapy for knee osteoarthritis: a systematic review and Meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE: To systematically evaluate the efficacy of scraping therapy on knee osteoarthritis(KOA). METHODS: A computerized search was conducted in several databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database,Wanfang, and Chinese BioMedical Literature Database,from the establishment date of these databases to April 9,2023. Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) on scraping therapy for KOA were collected in accordance with the “Participants-Intervention-Control-Outcome-Study design”criteria. The methodological evaluation of the included studies was carried out using RoB 2.0, and Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan. The Grades of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation(GRADE System) was applied to grade the quality of evidence. RESULTS: A total of 12 RCTs with 997 subjects were included in the Meta-analysis. Results indicated that compared with the control group, the scraping therapy treatment group exhibited increased Lysholm scores [mean difference(MD) = 4.96, 95% confidence intervals(CI)(3.18, 6.74), P < 0.000 01] and Hospital for Special Surgery scores [MD = 8.35, 95% CI(3.92, 12.78), P = 0.0002] and decreased visual analog scale scores [MD =-2.11, 95% CI(-3.79,-0.44), P = 0.01] and Western Ontario and McM aster University Osteoarthritis Index scores [MD =-6.77, 95% CI(-8.99,-4.56), P < 0.000 01)]. The quality of evidence obtained in this Meta-analysis was low according to the GRADE system. CONCLUSION: The available evidence suggests that scraping therapy may have certain clinical efficacy in the treatment of KOA. However, further high-quality RCTs are needed to confirm the findings.

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are synthetic tailor-made polymers with high selectivity towards a particular substance (template).An MIP using vinblastine (VLB) as the template molecule was synthesized and *** presence of monomer-template complexes in a non-covalent way was confirmed by UV-vis spectrometry *** polymerization was performed using methacrylic acid (MAA) as the functional monomer,ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linking agent,and toluene as the porogenic solvent by a thermo-polymerization *** characterization of the obtained MIP was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) *** was observed that the morphology of the MIP was more porous and rough,and the surface area had a significant increase compared with that of the non-imprinted polymer (NIP).This MIP was used as the sorbents of solid-phase extraction (SPE) to assess the selectivity of the MIP after optimization of the SPE *** was specifically adsorbed on the MIP cartridge,while to vincristine (VCR),the chemical analog of VLB,almost no selective binding *** the basis of the results,Catharanthus roseus extract was applied to the MIP cartridge for investigating its capability to extract VLB from the plant extract,and the capacity of the MIP cartridge was also *** was shown that the MIP could effectively enrich VLB from *** extract and the recovery amounted to 93.8%.The solvents dissolving the samples had significant influence on the capacity of the MIP cartridge;it was 750 μg/g in toluene,625 μg/g in chloroform,and 250 μg/g in methanol.

Comparative study on the hydrogen storage performance of as-milled MgRENi rapid quenched alloy catalyzed by metal sulfides

The composites of Mg_(20)Pr_(1)Sm_(3)Y_(1)Ni_(10)as-quenched alloy and 3 wt.%M(M=CoS,CoS_(2),MoS_(2))catalyst were prepared by high-speed vibration ball *** effects of metal sulfides on the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation dynamics of alloys were *** results show that the as-milled composites contain a large number of amorphous embedded by a small amount of nanocrystals,and there are many point *** ball milling,the crystal grain size in the composites containing CoS is relatively larger,followed by CoS_(2)and MoS_(2)*** hydrogenation,the amorphous phase is crystallized to form Mg_(2)NiH_(4),YH_(3),Pr_(8)H_(18.96),Sm_(3)H_7,Mg,Co or Mo phases,however,Mg_(2)Ni,YH_(2),PrH_(2)and Ni_(3)Y phases appeared after *** maximum hydrogenation capacity of the composites containing CoS,CoS_(2)and MoS_(2)are 3.939,4.265 and 4.507 wt.%,*** hydrogenation saturation ratio of composite containing MoS_(2)is higher than that of the composites containing CoS and CoS_(2).The dehydrogenation activation energy of the composites containing CoS,CoS_(2)and MoS_(2)is 107.76,68.43 and 63.28 ***^(-1).H_(2).On the improvement of hydrogen storage performance of Mg_(20)Pr_(1)Sm_(3)Y_(1)Ni_(10)alloy,the catalytic effect of MoS_(2)sulfide is better than that of CoS_(2)sulfide,and which is better than CoS sulfide.
