Malignant obstruction makes gallbladder cancer have a high mortality ***-titanium alloy(nitinol)stents are commonly used as a local intervention to maximize patient survival time,but the stents lack antitumor and antibacterial capacity and are vulnerable to secondary ***-based drugs show good therapeutic promise against gallbladder *** meet clinical *** layered double hydroxides(LDHs)film is constructed on the nitinol,whose arsenite loading amounts rose by 60%after simple heat treatment compared with the conventional anion-exchange *** addition,calcination promotes the dissolution of nickel ions from the LDHs lattice,resulting in a powerful synergistic killing effect on tumor cells together with the released *** importantly,the calcined arsenic-loaded LDHs are sensitive to the acidic microenvironment of tumor tissues,which presents a much lower arsenic and nickel release amount in the normal tissues,guaranteeing its ***,the vertically sharp LDHs nanosheets can synergize with arsenic to achieve effective physical cleavage and chemical killing of adherent and planktonic *** short,we attempt to use arsenic drugs for local interventions and reasonably avoid their toxic side effects,which provides a new design idea for nitinol stents applied in the treatment of gallbladder cancer.

Paragangliomas,also known as pheochromocytomas(1–9 cases per million),arise in the paraganglia.[1]Pheochromocytomas occur in the adrenal glands,while paragangliomas occur elsewhere.[2]Paragangliomas originate from paraganglion cells,which are derived from the neural ectoderm of the nerves and migrate along both sides of the median axis from the base of the skull to the pelvis during embryonic development.

Data-driven modeling on anisotropic mechanical behavior of brain tissue with internal pressure

Brain tissue is one of the softest parts of the human body,composed of white matter and grey *** mechanical behavior of the brain tissue plays an essential role in regulating brain morphology and brain ***,traumatic brain injury(TBI)and various brain diseases are also greatly influenced by the brain's mechanical *** white matter or grey matter,brain tissue contains multiscale structures composed of neurons,glial cells,fibers,blood vessels,etc.,each with different mechanical *** such,brain tissue exhibits complex mechanical behavior,usually with strong nonlinearity,heterogeneity,and directional *** a constitutive law for multiscale brain tissue using traditional function-based approaches can be very ***,this paper proposes a data-driven approach to establish the desired mechanical model of brain *** focus on blood vessels with internal pressure embedded in a white or grey matter matrix material to demonstrate our *** matrix is described by an isotropic or anisotropic nonlinear elastic model.A representative unit cell(RUC)with blood vessels is built,which is used to generate the stress-strain data under different internal blood pressure and various proportional displacement loading *** generated stress-strain data is then used to train a mechanical law using artificial neural networks to predict the macroscopic mechanical response of brain tissue under different internal ***,the trained material model is implemented into finite element software to predict the mechanical behavior of a whole brain under intracranial pressure and distributed body *** with a direct numerical simulation that employs a reference material model,our proposed approach greatly reduces the computational cost and improves modeling *** predictions made by our trained model demonstrate sufficient ***,we find that the level of internal blood pressur

Numerical investigations of the interactions between bubble induced shock waves and particle based on OpenFOAM

The presence of particles and the shock waves generated by the cavitation bubbles can significantly affect the safety and the performance of hydrodynamic *** the present paper,the shock waves generated by cavitation bubble collapsing near the particle are numerically investigated based on the OpenFOAM together with the numerical schlieren for the shock wave *** numerical results reveal that the stand-off distance is one of the paramount factors affecting the interactions between the particle and the shock *** different kinds of shock waves(e.g.,bubble-inception,jet formation,particle reflected and jet-split shock waves)are observed during the bubble collapsing near the *** stand-off distance smaller than 0.5 or larger than 1.1,the maximum pressure at particle surface generated by the bubble growth can surpass those of the collapse stage.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C investment castings by current solution treatment

This study examined the impact of current solution treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C alloy investment *** findings reveal that the current solution treatment significantly promotes the dissolution of carbides at a lower *** optimal conditions for solution treatment are determined as a solution temperature of 1,125°C and a holding time of 5.0 *** these parameters,the size and volume fraction of precipitated phases in the investment castings are measured as6.2μm and 1.1vol.%.The yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and total elongation of the Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C investment castings are 535 MPa,760 MPa,and 12.6%,*** values exceed those obtained with the conventional solution treatment at 1,200°C for 4.0 *** findings suggest a phase transformation of M_(23)C_(6)→σ+C following the current solution treatment at 1,125°C for 5.0 *** comparison,the traditional solution treatment at 1,200°C for 4.0 h leads to the formation of M_(23)C_(6)and M_(6)C *** is noteworthy that the non-thermal effect of the current during the solution treatment modifies the free energy of both the matrix and precipitation *** modification lowers the phase transition temperature of the M_(23)C_(6)→σ+C reaction,thereby facilitating the dissolution of *** a result,the current solution treatment approach achieves carbide dissolution at a lower temperature and within a significantly shorter time when compared to the traditional solution treatment methods.

Antimony-based materials with high capacities and moderate potentials are promising anodes for lithium-/-sodium-ion ***,their tremendous volume expansion and inferior conductivity lead to poor structural stability and sluggish reaction ***,a doubleconfined nanoheterostructure Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@C has been fabricated through a solvothermal method followed by low-temperature heat *** dual protection of“MXene”and“carbon”can better accommodate the volume expansion of Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3).The strong covalent bond(Ti-S,Ti-O-Sb,C-O-Sb)can firmly integrate Sb-based material with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and carbon,which significantly improves the structure *** addition,the carbon layer can restrain the oxidation of MXenes,and the nano-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)can facilitate electron/ion transport and suppress the restacking of *** heterogeneous interface between Sb and Sb_(2)S_(3)can further promote interfacial charge *** MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1 with the optimal Sb content shows high specific capacities,comparable rate properties and ultra-stable cycling performances(250 m Ah·g^(-1)after 2500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)for sodium-ion batteries).Ex situ X-ray diffractometer(XRD)test reveals the storage mechanism including the conversion and alloying process of MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@*** voltammetry(CV)test results demonstrate that the pseudocapacitance behavior is dominant in MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1,especially at large *** design paves the way for exploring high-performance alloy-based/conversion-type anode for energy storage devices.

The main problem faced by ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR)includes low activity,poor selectivity,and *** the study,we found that polysulfide modified on the surface of PtCu intermetallic(IM)/C can simultaneously enrich hydroxyl and ethanol,which could effectively improve the catalytic activity,CO_(2) selectivity,and durability of *** mass activity and the specific activity of the product in 1 M KOH electrolyte reached 17.83 A·mgPt^(-1) and 24.67 mA·cm^(-2).The CO_(2) selectivity of polysulfide modified product achieved 93.5%,which was 30 folds higher than Pt/*** addition,the catalyst showed high catalytic *** mechanism study demonstrates that the surface modified polysulfide could significantly boost the enrichment effect of ethanol and hydroxyl species,accelerating C–C bond cleavage and CO oxidation.
