Vascular depression(VD)as defined by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)has been proposed as a unique subtype of late-life *** VD hypothesis posits that cerebrovascular disease,as characterized by the presence of MRIdefined white matter hyperintensities,contributes to and increases the risk for depression in older *** is also accompanied by cognitive impairment and poor antidepressant treatment *** VD diagnosis relies on MRI findings and yet this clinical entity is largely unfamiliar to neuroradiologists and is rarely,if ever,discussed in radiology *** primary purpose of this review is to introduce the MRI-defined VD construct to the neuroradiology *** reports are highlighted in order to illustrate the profile of VD in terms of radiological,clinical,and neuropsychological findings.A secondary purpose is to elucidate and elaborate on the measurement of cerebrovascular disease through visual rating scales and semi-and fully-automated volumetric *** methods are crucial for determining whether lesion burden or lesion severity is the dominant pathological contributor to ***,these rating methods have implications for the growing field of computer assisted *** VD has been found to have a profile that is distinct from other types of late-life depression,neuroradiologists,in conjunction with psychiatrists and psychologists,should consider VD in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Respiratory disease caused by coronavirus infection remains a global health *** several SARS-CoV-2-specific vaccines and direct-acting antivirals are available,their effcacy on emerging coronaviruses in the future,including SARS-CoV-2 variants,might be ***-targeting antivirals provide preventive and therapeutic strategies to overcome resistance and manage future outbreak of emerging *** L(CTSL)and calpain-1(CAPN1)are host cysteine proteases which play crucial roles in coronaviral entrance into cells and infection-related immune ***,two peptidomimetic a-ketoamide compounds,14a and 14b,were identified as potent dual target inhibitors against CTSL and *** X-ray crystal structures of human CTSL and CAPN1 in complex with 14a and 14b revealed the covalent binding of a-ketoamide groups of 14a and 14b to C25 of CTSL and C115 of *** showed potent and broad-spectrum anticoronaviral activities in vitro,and it is worth noting that they exhibited low nanomolar potency against SARS-CoV-2 and its variants of concern(VOCs)with ECso values ranging from 0.80 to 161.7 nM in various *** mechanistic exploration indicated that they exhibited anticoronaviral activity through blocking viral ***,14a and 14b exhibited good oral pharmacokinetic properties in mice,rats and dogs,and favorable safety in *** addition,both 14a and 14b treatments demonstrated potent antiviral potency against SARS-CoV-2 XBB 1.16 variant infection in a K18-hACE2 transgenic mouse *** 14b also showed effective antiviral activity against HCoV-OC43 infection in a mouse model with a final survival rate of 60%.Further evaluation showed that 14a and 14b exhibited excellent antiinflammatory effects in Raw 264.7 mouse macrophages and in mice with acute *** together,these results suggested that 14a and 14b are promising drug candidates,providing novel insight into developing pan-coronavirus inhibitors with anti

Soil Water Hysteresis at Low Potential

Knowledge of the soil water characteristic curve is fundamental for understanding unsaturated *** objective of this work was to find scanning hysteresis loops of two fine textured soils at water potentials below wilting *** was done by equilibration over NaCl solutions with water potentials of-6.6 to-18.8 MPa at 25℃.When cycled repeatedly through a series of potentials in the range noted previously both soils exhibited a hysteresis *** experimental differences in water content between the drying and wetting soils at the same water potential were much too large to be accounted for by failure to allow sufficient time to attain equilibrium as predicted by the exponential decay *** wetting versus drying differences were relatively small,however,at only 4 mg g-1 or less in absolute terms and about 3% of the mean of wetting and drying,in relative *** should be a consideration when modeling biological and physical soil processes at water contents below the wilting point,where small differences in water content result in large potential energy changes.

＜正＞A design program for axial flow impellers-singularity distribution methodology-was usually adopted in design practice. This paper addresses an improved approach to the program in achieving more accurate results in the design stage. In the new program presented in this paper, computerized numerical algorithms are employed in velocity calculation. Its basic idea is briefed as follows: At a prescribed point s0 on the basic plate, the velocities induced by a row of vortices with strength γ（s）ds are expressed as dVx = f1（s0, s）γ（s）ds and dVy = f2（s0,s）γ（s）ds . Since s here is defined on the basic plate and the basic plate can be divided into many short lengths, the velocities at the given point s0. induced by a row of vortices corresponding to point s, can be got based on the same equations. Sum the differential velocities, the actual induced velocities at the given point is finally obtained through By offering a MATLAB program, points on the basic plate as many as 30-40 can be calculated. Besides, much more cylindrical surfaces can be calculated within a short time period. This means more accurate results can be achieved and pump efficiency will thus be improved.
