AIM：To determine the impact of age on the morphology of endothelial cells and central corneal thickness（CCT） in Chinese tree ***：One-hundred and twenty eyes of 60 healthy Chinese tree shrews were *** on age,the tree shrews were divided into four *** general anesthesia,the images of endothelium were acquired using non-contact specular microscope Topcon 3000 *** parameters of corneal endothelial cells were measured by built-in software,including CCT,endothelial cell density（ECD）,percent hexagonality（HG%）,coeffi cient of variability（CV）,size of minimal cell（Smin）,size of maximal cell（Smax）,average cells size（Savg） and size standard deviation（Ssd）.Data were analyzed using STATA *** differences of eight parameters among groups and correlations with age were ***：In all studied animals,the average CCT was 2 4 9.6 ± 2 .29 μ m（202-301 μm）,ECD was 308 0.72 ± 460.76 cells/mm^2（1239.6-4047.6 cells/mm^2） and CV was 29.10±7.60（13.6-54.6）.CV was significantly different among different groups（P〈0.001）.Strong correlation with age was found in ECD,Smax,Savg,Ssd and ***：Cornea of Chinese tree shrews had half CCT of human cornea and similar ECD,CV and size of corneal endothelial *** adult tree shrews had higher ECD,HG% and low ***,Smax,Savg,Ssd and CV correlated with age signifi cantly.

Origin of the Newly Discovered Zhunuo Porphyry Cu-Mo-Au Deposit in the Western Part of the Gangdese Porphyry Copper Belt in the Southern Tibetan Plateau,SW China

The newly discovered Zhunuo porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit is located in the western part of the Gangdese porphyry copper belt in southern Tibet, SW China. The granitoid plutons in the Zhunuo region are composed of quartz diorite porphyry, diorite porphyry, granodiorite porphyry, biotite monzogranite and quartz porphyry. The quartz diorite porphyry yielded zircon U-Pb ages of 51.9±0.7 Ma（Eocene） using LA-ICP-MS, whereas the diorite porphyry, granodiorite porphyry, biotite monzogranite and quartz porphyry yielded ages ranging from 16.2±0.2 to 14.0±0.2 Ma（Miocene）. CuMo-Au mineralization is mainly hosted in the Miocene granodiorite porphyry. Samples from all granitoid plutons have geochemical compositions consistent with high-K calc-alkaline series magmatism. The samples display highly fractionated light rare-earth element（REE） distributions and heavy REE distributions with weakly negative Eu anomalies on chondrite-normalized REE patterns. The trace element distributions exhibit positive anomalies for large-ion lithophile elements（Rb, K, U, Th and Pb） and negative anomalies for high-field-strength elements（Nb and Ti） relative to primitive mantlenormalized values. The Eocene quartz diorite porphyry yielded εNd（t） values ranging from-3.6 to-5.2,（-（87）Sr/-（86）Sr）i values in the range 0.7046–0.7063 and initial radiogenic Pb isotopic compositions with ranges of 18.599–18.657 -（206）Pb/-（204）Pb, 15.642–15.673 -（207）Pb/-（204）Pb and 38.956–39.199 -（208）Pb/-（204）Pb. In contrast, the Miocene granitoid plutons yielded ε（Nd）（t） values ranging from-6.1 to-7.3 and（87Sr/86Sr）i values in the range 0.7071–0.7078 with similar Pb isotopic compositions to the Eocene quart diorite. The Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions of the rocks are consistent with formation from magma containing a component of remelted ancient crust. Zircon grains from the Eocene quartz diorite have ε（Hf）（t） values ranging from-5.2 to ＋0.9 and two-stage Hf model ages ranging from 1.07 to 1.46 Ga, while zircon grains from the M

Selection of candidates for surgery as local therapy among early-stage small cell lung cancer patients: a population-based analysis

Background:Surgery and radiotherapy are considered local therapies for small cell lung cancer(SCLC).The present study aimed to select candidates for surgery as local therapy among patients with stage I or II SCLC,based on the eighth edition of the TNM classification for lung ***:Patients diagnosed with SCLC between 2004 and 2013 were selected from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,And End Results *** TNM stage of SCLC in these patients was re-classified according to the eighth edition of the TNM classification for lung *** with stage I or II SCLC were included in the present *** survival(OS)and lung cancer-specific survival(LCSS)were separately compared in the different TNM stages between patients who received surgery and radiotherapy as local *** analysis was applied to evaluate multi-ple factors associated with ***:Among the 2129 patients included in the present study,387(18.2%)received surgery,1032(48.5%)under-went radiotherapy as local therapy,154(7.2%)underwent surgery and radiotherapy,and 556(26.1%)did not undergo either surgery or *** patients with T1-2N0(tumor size≤50 mm without positive lymph nodes)dis-ease,patients who underwent surgery had higher 5-year OS and LCSS rates than patients who received radiotherapy(T1N0:46.0%vs.23.8%,P<0.001,and 58.4%vs.36.4%,P<0.001,respectively;T2N0:42.6%vs.24.7%,P=0.004,and 48.8%vs.31.3%,P=0.011,respectively).Multivariate analysis results revealed that surgery was associated with low risk of ***,among T3N0 or T1-2N1(stage IIB)SCLC patients,patients who underwent surgery did not have higher 5-year OS and LCSS rates than patients who received radiotherapy(T3N0:16.2%vs.26.5%,P=0.085,and 28.7%vs.30.9%,P=0.372,respectively;T1-2N1:20.3%vs.29.0%,P=0.146,and 25.6%vs.35.5%,P=0.064,respectively).Conclusions:Based on the assumption that the overwhelming majority of stage I or II SCLC patients who underwent surgery or radiotherapy also received

Fracturing fluid property play a critical role in developing unconventional *** eutectic solvents(DESs)show fascinating potential for property improvement of clean fracturing fluids(CFFs)due to their low-price,low-toxicity,chemical stability and flexible *** this work,DESs were synthesized by mixing hydrogen bond acceptors(HBAs)and a given hydrogen bond donor(HBD)to explore their underlying influence on CFF properties based on the intermolecular *** hydrogen-bonding,van der Waals and electrostatic interactions between DES components and surfactants improved the CFF properties by promoting the arrangement of surfactants at interface and enhancing the micelle network *** HBD enhanced the resistance of CFF for Ca^(2+) due to coordination-bonding *** DESs composed of choline chloride(ChCl)and malonic acid show great enhancement for surface,rheology,temperature resistance,salt tolerance,drag reduction,and gel-breaking performance of *** DESs also improved the gel-breaking CFF-oil interactions,increasing the imbibition efficiencies to 44.2%in 74 *** HBAs can effectively strengthen the intermolecular interactions(e.g.,HBA-surfactant and HBD-surfactant interactions)to improve CFF *** DESs developed in this study provide a novel strategy to intensify CFF properties.

The therapeutic effect of herpes simplex virus thymi-dine kinase/ganciclovir (HSV-tk/GCV) system on hepa-tocellular carcinoma was studied in this experimeflt. Thetk-containing retroviral recombinants were used to infecthepatoma cells (BEL-7402) and the cells were treated withganciclovir (0-1000 pg/ml). The results showed that HSV-tk gene could be efficielltly transferred in Vitro into hep-atoma cells and stably expressed. The growth potentialof the tk-containing cells was significantly inhibited byGCV (P<0.01) as compared to the non-tk-containing *** antitumor effect of HSV-tk/GCV system was also pro-duced ex vivo in tk-containing tumor of nude mice as char-acterized by a marked decrease in tumor growth after GCVtreatment contrary to a progressive enlargement of non-tk-containing tumors. Although the histological examinationdemonstrated that the efficiency of the gene transfer wasless than 30%, the killing effect of HSV-tk/GCV systemon hepatocellular carcinoma was still significantIy gener-ated. The proper mechanism of HSV-tk gene therapy onhepatic tumor referred as "bystander effect" in therapeu-tic approach has not been found in this study and requiredto be explored further.

I/O Efficient Early Bursting Cohesive Subgraph Discovery in Massive Temporal Networks

Temporal networks are an effective way to encode temporal information into graph data *** the bursting cohesive subgraph(BCS),which accumulates its cohesiveness at the fastest rate,is an important problem in temporal *** BCS has a large number of applications,such as representing emergency events in social media,traffic congestion in road networks and epidemic outbreak in ***,existing methods demand the BCS lasting for a time interval,which neglects the timeliness of the *** this paper,we design an early bursting cohesive subgraph(EBCS)model based on the k-core to enable identifying the burstiness as soon as *** find the EBCS,we first construct a time weight graph(TWG)to measure the bursting level by integrating the topological and temporal ***,we propose a global search algorithm,called GS-EBCS,which can find the exact EBCS by iteratively removing nodes from the ***,we propose a local search algorithm,named LS-EBCS,to find the EBCS by first expanding from a seed node until obtaining a candidate k-core and then refining the k-core to the result subgraph in an optimal time ***,considering the situation that the massive temporal networks cannot be completely put into the memory,we first design an I/O method to build the TWG and then develop I/O efficient global search and local search algorithms,namely I/O-GS and I/O-LS respectively,to find the EBCS under the semi-external *** experiments,conducted on four real temporal networks,demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed *** example,on the DBLP dataset,I/O-LS and LS-EBCS have comparable running time,while the maximum memory usage of I/O-LS is only 6.5 MB,which is much smaller than that of LS-EBCS taking 308.7 MB.

A series of novel pyrazole fused heterocyclic derivatives were synthesized via a two-step procedure or a one-pot two step method, and their catalytic DNA cleavage abilities and anti-BVDV activities were also evaluated. The results obtained indicated that compounds 3b-3c could catalyze the cleavage of supercoiled DNA （pUC 19 plasmid DNA） to nicked DNA under physiological conditions with high yields via a hydrolytic mechanism. The studies on anti-viral activities against bovine viral diarrhea virus （BVDV） demonstrated that some of the pyrazole derivatives showed pronounced anti-BVDV activity with interesting ECso values and no significant cytotoxicity. Among them, compound 31 showed the highest antiviral activity （ECso = 0.12 μmol/L） and was 10 fold more than that of the positive control ribavirin （ECso = 1.3 μmol/L）, which provided a potential candidate for the development of anti-BVDV agents.

Cu-0.57Cr-0.01Ca and Cu-0.58Cr-0.01Sr(wt.%)alloys were fabricated and processed by thermo-mechanical *** mechanical and electrical properties and microstructure were investigated in detail and compared with those of a Cu-0.57Cr(wt.%)*** results showed that the softening resistance of the Cu-Cr alloy was significantly improved by the additions of Ca and Sr *** with the Cu-Cr alloy,the deformation microstructure of the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys was more difficult to recrystallize at elevated temperatures,and the Cr precipitates in the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys were smaller in size and had an FCC structure at any given aging *** high strengths of the Cu-Cr-Ca and Cu-Cr-Sr alloys were mainly attributed to the dislocation strengthening provided by high-density dislocations and the precipitate strengthening provided by fine Cr ***-principles calculation showed that the segregations of Ca and Sr atoms at interface between Cr precipitates and copper matrix were favorable in *** segregation effectively hindered the growth of Cr precipitates and significantly enhanced the pinning effect on the motion of dislocations and subgrain boundaries,eventually leading to the improvement in the softening resistance of the Cu-Cr alloy.
