Forming an ultrathin conducting layer on a fluorinated carbon(CFx)surface for reducing severe electrochemical polarization in lithium/fluorinated carbon primary batteries(Li/CF_(x))remains a considerable challenge for achieving batteries with excellent rate ***,CFxwas modified by using acetylene/argon mixture plasma combined with MnO_(2)*** CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)composite effectively reduced the voltage hysteresis and improved the electrochemical performance of Li/CF_(x).The excellent rate performance of CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)was due to the high electrochemical activity provided by the atomicscale conductive carbon layer and ultrafine MnO_(2)*** with pristine CF_(x),the charge transfer resistance of the optimized CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)decreased from 218.5 to 48.2Ω,the discharge rate increased from 2C to 10C,and the power density increased from 3.11 to 13.44 kW·g^(-1),The intrinsic reason for the enhanced rate performance was attributed to the fact that the ultrathin carbon layer acted as a conductive bridge to reduce the voltage hysteresis at the initial stage of the Li/CF_(x)discharge,and the high electrochemical activity of the ultrafine MnO_(2)particles provided a faster lithium-ion diffusion rate.

BACKGROUND Pes cavovarus has an estimated incidence of 8%-17%in patients with spina bifida(SB).The majority of the current literature on surgical treatment of cavovarus feet in children and adolescents includes a variety of *** are currently no case series describing a treatment algorithm for deformity correction in this specific patient *** authors of this study present the results of a retrospective case series performed to assess the radiographic outcomes of two-stage corrective surgery in patients with *** Retrospective chart review was performed on patients with SB with a diagnosis of pes cavovarus at a freestanding children’s hospital who underwent surgical correction of the *** were excluded for lack of two-stage corrective operation,nonambulatory status,lack of at least six months follow-up,and age>18 years at the time of *** resulted in a cohort of 19 *** analysis was performed on 11 feet that had a complete series of preoperative and postoperative weightbearing *** and postoperative radiographic outcome measurements were compared using a two-sample *** Significant changes between the preoperative and postoperative measurements were seen in Meary’s angle,the anteroposterior talo-first metatarsal(AP TMT1)angle,and the talonavicular *** values of Meary’s angle were 17.9±13.1 preoperatively and 4.7±10.3 postoperatively(P=0.016).Mean AP TMT1 angle was 20.6±15.1 preoperatively and 9.3±5.5 postoperatively(P=0.011).Mean talonavicular coverage values were-10.3±9.6 preoperatively and-3.8±10.1 postoperatively(P=0.025).CONCLUSION The two-stage corrective procedure demonstrated efficacy in correcting cavovarus deformity in patients with *** should strongly consider employing the staged surgical algorithm presented in this manuscript for management of these patients.

Potato cyst nematodes(PCNs)are a significant threat to potato production,having caused substantial damage in many *** the future distribution of PCN species is crucial to implementing effective biosecurity strategies,especially given the impact of climate change on pest species invasion and *** learning(ML),specifically ensemble models,has emerged as a powerful tool in predicting species distributions due to its ability to learn and make predictions based on complex data ***,this research utilised advanced machine learning techniques to predict the distribution of PCN species under climate change conditions,providing the initial element for invasion risk *** first used Global Climate Models to generate homogeneous climate predictors to mitigate the variation among ***,five machine learning models were employed to build two groups of ensembles,single-algorithm ensembles(ESA)and multi-algorithm ensembles(EMA),and compared their *** this research,the EMA did not always perform better than the ESA,and the ESA of Artificial Neural Network gave the highest performance while being *** results indicated that the distribution range of PCNs would shift northward with a decrease in tropical zones and an increase in northern ***,the total area of suitable regions will not change significantly,occupying 16-20%of the total land surface(18%under current conditions).This research alerts policymakers and practitioners to the risk of PCNs’incursion into new ***,this ML process offers the capability to track changes in the distribution of various species and provides scientifically grounded evidence for formulating long-term biosecurity plans for their control.

BACKGROUND:Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta(REBOA)can temporarily control traumatic ***,its prolonged use potentially leads to ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI).Partial REBOA(pREBOA)can alleviate ischemic burden;however,its security and eff ectiveness prior to operative hemorrhage control remains ***,we aimed to estimate the effi cacy of pREBOA in a swine model of liver injury using an experimental sliding-chamber ballistic ***:Twenty Landrace pigs were randomized into control(no aortic occlusion)(n=5),intervention with complete REBOA(cREBOA)(n=5),continuous pREBOA(C-pREBOA)(n=5),and sequential pREBOA(S-pREBOA)(n=5)*** the cREBOA and C-pREBOA groups,the balloon was inflated for 60 *** hemodynamic and laboratory values were compared at various observation time *** samples immediately after animal euthanasia from the myocardium,liver,kidneys,and duodenum were collected for histological assessment using hematoxylin and eosin ***:Compared with the control group,the survival rate of the REBOA groups was prominently improved(all Pjury,a 60-minute pREBOA resulted in improved survival rate and was effective in maintaining reliable aortic pressure,despite persistent *** tolerance time for aortic occlusion in Zone I for non-compressible torso hemorrhage was feasible with both continuous partial and sequential partial measures,and the significant improvement in the severity of acidosis and distal organ injury was observed in the sequential pREBOA.
