A new species of the genus Amolops Cope, 1865 is described from Nyingchi, southeastern Tibet, China, based on morphological and molecular data. The new species, Amolops nyingchiensis sp. nov. is assigned to the Amolops monticola group based on its skin smooth, dorsolateral fold distinct, lateral side of head black, upper lip stripe white extending to the shoulder. Amolops nyingchiensis sp. nov. is distinguished from all other species of Amolops by the following combination of characters：（1） medium body size, SVL 48.5-58.3 mm in males, and 57.6-70.7 mm in females; （2） tympanum distinct, slightly larger than one third of the eye diameter; （3） a small tooth-like projection on anteromedial edge of mandible; （4） the absence of white spine on dorsal surface of body; （5） the presence of circummarginal groove on all fingers; （6） the presence of vomerine teeth; （7） background coloration of dorsal surface brown, lateral body gray with yellow; （8） the presence of transverse bands on the dorsal limbs; （9） the presence of nuptial pad on the first finger in males; （10） the absence of vocal sac in males. Taxonomic status of the populations that were previously identified to A. monticola from Tibet is also discussed.

Until recently, the agamid species, Japalura flaviceps was recognized to have the widest geographic dis- tribution among members of the genus occurring in China, from eastern Tibet to Shaanxi Province. However, recent studies restricted the distribution of J. flaviceps to the dadu River valley only in north- western Sichuan Province, suggesting that records of J. flaviceps outside the dadu River valley likely represent undescribed diversity. During two herpeto- faunal surveys in 2013 and 2015, eight and 12 specimens of lizards of the genus Japalura were collected from the upper Nujiang （=Salween） Valley in eastern Tibet, China, and upper Lancang （=Mekong） Valley in northwestern Yunnan, China, respectively. These specimens display a unique suite of diagnostic morphological characters. Our robust comparisons of phenotype reveal that these populations can be distinguished readily from J. flaviceps and all other recognized congeners. Herein, we describe the two Japalura lineages as new spe- cies, Japalura laeviventris sp. nov. and Japalura iadina sp. nov.. In addition, we provide updated con- servation assessments for the new species as well as imperiled congeners according to the IUCN crite- ria for classification, discuss the importance of color patterns in the diagnosis and description of species in the genus Japalura, and discuss directions for future taxonomic studies of the group.

A new genus and species of threefrog is described from Medog, southeastern Tibet, China based on morphological and phylogenetic data. The new genus can be distinguished from other treefrog genera by the following combination of characters：（1） body size moderate, 45.0 mm in male; （2） snout rounded; （3） canthus rostralis obtuse and raised prominently, forming a ridge from nostril to anterior corner of eyes; （4） web rudimentary on fingers; （5） web moderately developed on toes; （6） phalange ＂Y＂ shaped, visible from dorsal side of fingers and toes; （7） skin of dorsal surfaces relatively smooth, scatted with small tubercles; （8） iris with a pale yellow, ＂X＂ shaped pattern of pigmentation.

Catalyst–support interaction plays a crucial role in improving the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Here we modulate the catalyst–support interaction in polyaniline-supported Ni_(3)Fe oxide(Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI)with a robust hetero-interface,which significantly improves oxygen evolution activities with an overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and specific activity of 2.08 mA cm_(ECSA)^(-2)at overpotential of 300 mV,3.84-fold that of Ni_(3)Fe *** is revealed that the catalyst–support interaction between Ni_(3)Fe oxide and PANI support enhances the Ni–O covalency via the interfacial Ni–N bond,thus promoting the charge and mass transfer on Ni_(3)Fe *** the excellent activity and stability,rechargeable Zn-air batteries with optimum Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI are assembled,delivering a low charge voltage of 1.95 V to cycle for 400 h at 10 mA cm^(-2).The regulation of the effect of catalyst–support interaction on catalytic activity provides new possibilities for the future design of highly efficient OER catalysts.

Porous organic cages(POCs)with permanent porosity and excellent host–guest property hold great potentials in regulating ion transport behavior,yet their feasibility as solid-state electrolytes has never been testified in a practical ***,we design and fabricate a quasi-solid-state electrolyte(QSSE)based on a POC to enable the stable operation of Li-metal batteries(LMBs).Benefiting from the ordered channels and cavity-induced anion-trapping effect of POC,the resulting POC-based QSSE exhibits a high Li+transference number of 0.67 and a high ionic conductivity of 1.25×10^(−4) S cm^(−1) with a low activation energy of 0.17 *** allow for homogeneous Li deposition and highly reversible Li plating/stripping for over 2000 *** a proof of concept,the LMB assembled with POC-based QSSE demonstrates extremely stable cycling performance with 85%capacity retention after 1000 ***,our work demonstrates the practical applicability of POC as SSEs for LMBs and could be extended to other energy-storage systems,such as Na and K batteries.

γδT cells function as sentinels in early host responses to infections and ***,γδT cells recognize tumor-associated stress antigens via T-cell receptor(TCR)γδand play important roles in the antitumor immune *** this study,we characterized the pattern of the human TCRγδcomplementary determinant region 3(CDR3)repertoire in patients with lung carcinoma(LC)via high-throughput *** results showed that the diversity of CDR3δwas significantly reduced,and that of CDR3γwas unchanged in LC patients compared with healthy individuals;in addition,LC patients shared significantly more CDR3δsequences with each other than healthy *** CDR3 length distribution and N-addition length distribution did not significantly differ between LC patients and healthy *** addition,the CDR3 repertoire tended to use more Vδ2 and fewer Vδ1 germline gene fragments among LC ***,we found a combination of four TCRγδrepertoire features that focus on CDR3δand can be used as a biomarker for LC *** research suggests that the TCRγδCDR3 repertoire changed in LC patients due to the antitumor immune response byγδT cells in vivo,and these changes primarily focus on the amplification of certain tumor-specific CDR3δclones among *** study demonstrates the role ofγδT cells from the TCRγδCDR3 repertoire in tumor immunity and lays the foundation for elucidating the mechanism underlying the function ofγδT cells in antitumor immunity.

Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-16(GOES-16) Advanced Baseline Imager(ABI) observations of brightness temperature(TB) are used to examine the temporal evolutions of convection-affected structures of hurricane Irma(2017) during its rapid intensification(RI) period from 0600 to 1800 UTC 4 September *** ABI observations reveal that both an elliptical eye and a spiral rainband that originated from Irma's eyewall obviously exhibit wavenumber-2 TB *** elliptical eye underwent a counterclockwise rotation at a mean speed of a wavenumber-2 vortex Rossby edge wave from 0815 to 1005 UTC 4 *** the following about 2 hours(1025–1255 UTC 4 September),an inner spiral rainband originated from the eyewall and propagated at a phase speed that approximates the vortex Rossby wave(VRW) phase speed calculated from the aircraft reconnaissance *** the RI period of Irma,ABI TB observations show an on–off occurrence of low TB intrusions into the eye,accompanying a phase lock of eyewall TB asymmetries of wavenumbers 1 and 2 and an outward propagation of VRW-like inner spiral rainbands from the *** phase lock leads to an energy growth of Irma's eyewall *** the eye remained clear from 1415 to 1725 UTC 4 September,an inner spiral rainband that originated from a large convective area also had a VRW-like outward propagation,which is probably due to a vertical tilt of *** study suggests a potential link between convection sensitive GOES imager observations and hurricane dynamics.

As an extensively used chemical product,cyclic carbonate was generally synthesized by transesterification,or the cycloaddition of epoxides,diols with *** reduce the production costs and expand the raw materials,alkenyl and alkynyl substrates have caused much attention in the synthesis of cyclic carbonates,such as olefins,allyl alcohols and propargylic *** on the alkenyl substrate,the synthetic process involves a continuous reaction of oxidative carboxylation,with epoxide or halohydrin as an intermediate ***,peroxides and nucleophiles （halogens or organic bases） are often necessary in the *** propargylic alcohols to produce a-alkylidene cyclic carbonates,noble metal catalysts play crucial roles in alkynyl activation,and organic bases are considered to assist the intramolecular and intermolecular proton transfer and combine CO2 *** the carboxyl sources in products,inorganic carbonates and organic carboxylic acids also have some applications instead of *** this review,we summarized the synthetic routes of cyclic carbonates from alkenyl and alkynyl substrates in the aspect of catalyst,mechanism and the development tendency.

Short beam shear properties and failure modes of the wood-based X-type lattice sandwich structure

A wood-based X-type lattice sandwich structure was manufactured by insertion-glue *** birch was used as core,and Oriented Strand Board was used as panel of the sandwich *** short beam shear properties and the failure modes of the wood-based X-type lattice sandwich structure with different core direction(vertical and parallel),unit specification(120 mm×60 mm and 60 mm×60 mm),core size(50 mm and 60 mm),and drilling depth(9 mm and 12 mm)were investigated by a short beam shear test and the establishment of a theoretical model to study the equivalent shear modulus and deflection response of the X-type lattice sandwich *** from the short beam shear test and the theoretical model showed that the failure modes of the wood-based X-type lattice sandwich structure were mainly the wrinkling and crushing of the panels under three-point bending *** experimental values of deflection response of various type specimens were higher than the theoretical values of *** the core direction of parallel,the smaller the unit specification is,the shorter the core size is,and the deeper the drilling depth is,the greater the short beam shear properties of the wood-based X-type lattice sandwich structure is.
