The joint European Space Agency and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMILE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMILE data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

The Soft X-ray Imager(SXI)is part of the scientific payload of the Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)*** is a joint science mission between the European Space Agency(ESA)and the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)and is due for launch in *** is a compact X-ray telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encompassing large portions of Earth’s magnetosphere from the vantage point of the SMILE *** is sensitive to the soft X-rays produced by the Solar Wind Charge eXchange(SWCX)process produced when heavy ions of solar wind origin interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a mechanism for boundary detection within the magnetosphere,such as the position of Earth’s magnetopause,because the solar wind heavy ions have a very low density in regions of closed magnetic field *** sensitivity of the SXI is such that it can potentially track movements of the magnetopause on timescales of a few minutes and the orbit of SMILE will enable such movements to be tracked for segments lasting many *** is led by the University of Leicester in the United kingdom(Uk)with collaborating organisations on hardware,software and science support within the Uk,Europe,China and the United States.

data-driven interatomic potentials have emerged as a powerful tool for approximating ab initio potential energy *** most time-consuming step in creating these interatomic potentials is typically the generation of a suitable training *** aid this process hyperactive learning(HAL),an accelerated active learning scheme,is presented as a method for rapid automated training database *** adds a biasing term to a physically motivated sampler(*** dynamics)driving atomic structures towards uncertainty in turn generating unseen or valuable training *** proposed HAL framework is used to develop atomic cluster expansion(ACE)interatomic potentials for the AlSi10 alloy and polyethylene glycol(pEG)polymer starting from roughly a dozen initial *** HAL generated ACE potentials are shown to be able to determine macroscopic properties,such as melting temperature and density,with close to experimental accuracy.

A graph is called 1-planar if it admits a drawing in the plane such that each edge is crossed at most *** this paper,we study 1-planar graph *** prove that the join G ＋ H is 1-planar if and only if the pair [G,H] is subgraph-majorized by one of pairs [C3 ∪ C3,C3],[C4,C4],[C4,C3],[k2,1,1,p3] in the case when both elements of the graph join have at least three *** one element has at most two vertices,then we give several necessary/sufficient conditions for the bigger element.

BACkGROUNd previous meta-analyses,with many limitations,have described the beneficial nature of minimal invasive *** To compare all modalities of esophagectomies to each other from the results of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)in a network meta-analysis(NMA).METHOdS We conducted a systematic search of the MEdLINE,EMBASE,Reference Citation Analysis(https://***/)and CENTRAL databases to identify RCTs according to the following population,intervention,control,outcome(commonly known as pICO):p:patients with resectable esophageal cancer;I/C:Transthoracic,transhiatal,minimally invasive(thoracolaparoscopic),hybrid,and robot-assisted esophagectomy;O:Survival,total adverse events,adverse events in subgroups,length of hospital stay,and blood *** used the Bayesian approach and the random effects *** presented the geometry of the network,results with probabilistic statements,estimated intervention effects and their 95% confidence interval(CI),and the surface under the cumulative ranking curve to rank the *** We included 11 studies in our *** found a significant difference in postoperative pulmonary infection,which favored the minimally invasive intervention compared to transthoracic surgery(risk ratio 0.49;95%CI:0.23 to 0.99).The operation time was significantly shorter for the transhiatal approach compared to transthoracic surgery(mean difference-85 min;95%CI:-150 to-29),hybrid intervention(mean difference-98 min;95%CI:-190 to-9.4),minimally invasive technique(mean difference-130 min;95%CI:-210 to-50),and robot-assisted esophagectomy(mean difference-150 min;95%CI:-240 to-53).Other comparisons did not yield significant *** Based on our results,the implication of minimally invasive esophagectomy should be favored.

For the emerging peer-to-peer(p2p)lending markets to survive,they need to employ credit-risk management practices such that an investor base is profitable in the long ***,credit-risk management relies on credit scoring that predicts loans’probability of *** this paper,we use a profit scoring approach that is based on modeling the annualized adjusted internal rate of returns of *** validate our profit scoring models with traditional credit scoring models,we use data from a European p2p lending market,Bondora,and also a random sample of loans from the Lending Club p2p lending *** compare the out-of-sample accuracy and profitability of the credit and profit scoring models within several classes of statistical and machine learning models including the following:logistic and linear regression,lasso,ridge,elastic net,random forest,and neural *** found that our approach outperforms standard credit scoring models for Lending Club and Bondora *** specifically,as opposed to credit scoring models,returns across all loans are 24.0%(Bondora)and 15.5%(Lending Club)higher,whereas accuracy is 6.7%(Bondora)and 3.1%(Lending Club)higher for the proposed profit scoring ***,our results are not driven by manual selection as profit scoring models suggest investing in more ***,even if we consider data sampling bias,we found that the set of superior models consists almost exclusively of profit scoring ***,our results contribute to the literature by suggesting a paradigm shift in modeling credit-risk in the p2p market to prefer profit as opposed to credit-risk scoring models.

Simplified penman-Monteith Equation determined by Temperature-Based Global Radiation data and Its Multilocal Validation under Subhumid Climatic Conditions in Hungary

The extent to which specific climatic factors influence evapotranspiration under subhumid conditions in Hungary was investigated. The reference evapotranspiration, calculated with the internationally accepted penman-Monteith equation proposed by FAO, was considered. The results show that the influence of radiation, which provides energy for evaporation, is the strongest factor and that the influence of global radiation alone is very strong. Taking into account that radiation was measured under rather limited conditions in space and time, global radiation was calculated using the Hargreaves method based on temperature. Accordingly, we have defined a formula based on temperature-based global radiation and verified the data obtained with the penman-Monteith formula calculated for 14 meteorological stations. The verification gave good results, therefore the method can be used for practical purposes in the subhumid conditions of Hungary based on the data of the nearest meteorological station.

The paper comprises new analytical data on the nature and occurrence of gold in solid pyrobitumen,closely associated with the main gold-bearing sulfide arsenic ores of the Bakyrchik gold deposit(kazakhstan),related to post-collisional magmatic-hydrothermal *** mineralization of the deposit occurs mainly in the form of an“invisible”type of gold in the structures of arsenian pyrite and arsenopyrite,and the form of gold-organic compounds of pyrobitumen in carbonaceous-terrigenous sequences of Carboniferous *** and electron microscopic analysis,Raman and FT-Infrared analysis,mineralogical and three-step sequential extraction analysis(NH2OHHCl,H2O2,HNO3?HCl)has been carried out using 9 ore samples(from 3 different types of ores)for a comprehensive study of pyrobitumen and sulfide arsenic ores focusing mainly on organic *** sequentially extracted precious metal content of pyrobitumen reaches up to 7 ppm gold and other metals like Ag 4 ppm,pt 31 ppb,and pd 26 ppb,forming metal–organic compounds,while arsenic sulfide minerals incorporate 11 ppm gold,39 ppm Ag,0.49 ppm *** enrichment of gold associating with organic matter and sulfide ore minerals was confirmed in this *** matter was active in the migration of gold and the capture of gold by ***,the reductive organic matter agent released gold,most likely for the sulfide arsenic ore *** was a decisive factor in the concentration,transportation,and preservation of gold in the deposit.

Clinical Experience with Generic Rasagiline (Ralago<sup>&reg;</sup>) in patients with parkinson’s disease: An Open-Label, Multicenter, Observational Study

Background: Antiparkinsonian pharmacotherapy represents one of the most important expenses related to parkinson’s disease. The application of generic drugs may help to reduce the economic burden of the disease;however, efficacy and safety of these products have been less studied. Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of generic rasagiline (Ralago?) from a clinical perspective. Methods: The Clinical Global Impression of Severity scale was used to rate the most important motor and non-motor symptoms at baseline and 12 weeks after the initiation of Ralago?. patients also identified symptoms which were the main sources of their disability and distress in everyday life. Results: A total of 499 patients were enrolled (231 females, mean age: 73.2 ± 9.1 years, mean duration of disease: 3.6 ± 3.7 years). Of them, 486 patients completed the study protocol. Both motor and non-motor symptoms showed improvement during 12-week Ralago? treatment. Adverse events were rare, and the majority of them were not considered as serious. Conclusions: The generic rasagiline (Ralago?) is an effective and safe generic product.
