Low-cost,simple,and scalable self-assembly of dNA origami nanostructures

despite demonstrating exciting potential for applications such as drug delivery and biosensing,the development of nanodevices for practical applications and broader use in research and education are still hindered by the time,effort,and cost associated with dNA origami *** and robust methods to perform and scale the dNA origami self-assembly process are critical to facilitate broader use and translation to industrial or clinical *** report a simple approach to fold dNA origami nanostructures that is fast,robust,and *** demonstrate fabrication at scales approximately 100-1,500-fold higher than typical *** further demonstrate an approach we termed low-cost efficient annealing (LEAN) self-assembly involving initial heating at 65 ℃ for 10 min,then annealing at 51 ℃ for 2 h,followed by brief quenching at 4 ℃ that leads to effective assembly of a range of dNA origami structures *** contrast to other methods for scaling dNA origami assembly,this approach can be carried out using cheap and widely available equipment (e.g.,hot plates,water baths,and laboratory burners) and uses standard recipes and materials so is readily applied to any existing or new dNA origami *** envision these methods can facilitate device development for commercial applications and facilitate broader use of dNA origami in research and education.

Resonances in the reaction 19F (α ,p) 22Ne have been used to detect and depth profile 19F in solid targets. Incident alpha particles in the range 2100-2500 keV were used and protons were detected at θ=135° with a large solid angle surface barrier detector covered to stop elastically scattered alpha particles. This technique is a simple, nuclide specific probe and is particularly useful in detecting 19F in the presence of heavy elements such as GaAs where conventional Rutherford backscattering is ineffective. Examples using this technique on epitaxially grown thin films containing LaF3 layers will be presented.

Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia(ENRA)is an effective strategy to resolve environmental and energy crisis,but there are still great challenges to achieve high activity and stability synergistically for practical application in a fluid *** flexible film electrode may solve the abovementioned problem of practical catalytic application owing to the advantages of low cost,light weight,eco-friendliness,simple and scalable fabrication,extensive structural stability,and electrocatalytic ***,2d hybridization copper 1,4-benzenedi-carboxylate(cuBdc)has been grown on electronegative MXene nanosheets(Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x))seamlessly to prepare a 2d flexible cuBdc@Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x)electrode for *** flexible electrode simultaneously exhibits high Faradaic efficiency(86.5%)and excellent stability for NH_(3)synthesis,which are comparable to previously reported nanomaterials toward ***,the flexible electrode maintains outstanding FENH_(3)toward ENRA after the bending,twisting,folding,and crumpling tests,indicating excellent electroconductibility,high stability,and *** work not only provides mild permeation-mediated strategy to fabricate a flexible electrode but also explores the practical applications of the electrode with effectively environmental adaptability in solving global environmental contamination and energy crisis by effective ENRA.

Numerical simulation of ultrashort-pulse reflectometry(USPR)on EAST

The microwave reflectometer is a popular non-intrusive plasma density diagnostic instrument on tokamaks that provides centimeter and millisecond level *** ultrashort-pulse reflectometer(USPR)achieves plasma density measurement by emitting a chirped wave containing a broadband signal and measuring the time of flight from different frequency components.A USPR system is currently being built on EAST(Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak)to meet the needs of diagnostic of the pedestal density evolution,such as high-frequency small edge-localized *** order to predict the density reconstruction of the EAST USPR system,this work presents a numerical simulation study of the beam propagation of the chirped wave of extraordinary waves(X-mode)in the plasma based on *** electron density profile has been successfully reconstructed by the reflection signal *** small gap between the right-hand cut-off layer and the electron cyclotron resonance layer,due to the low plasma density on the plasma edge,causes unexpected leakage from the transmitting microwave beam to the pedestal and the core *** kind of‘tunneling’effect will cause the reflected signal to have energy loss in the low-frequency *** study also discusses the influence of the poloidal magnetic field on the reflected *** spatial variation of the poloidal magnetic field will lead to the conversion between extraordinary(X)waves and ordinary(O)waves,which leads to energy loss in the reflected *** simulation results show that the‘tunneling’effect and the O-X mode conversion effect have little effect on the EAST USPR ***,the currently designed transmit power meets the working requirements.

Forage and breed effects on behavior and temperament of pregnant beef heifers

cariblattoides labandeirai sp.n. from the Eocene sediments of Green River in colorado, USA bear only two plesiomorphies, but also several significant autapomorphies within the advanced and highly derived living cockroach genus. Thus, cariblattoides with extant occurrence in the caribbean and South America was historically common in the Nearctic, and represents important evidence for the occurrence of derived living genera of cockroaches -50 Ma ago. Generally, the vast majority of living genera were absent during the Palaeocene, thus the diversification of most living cockroach lineages near the Palaeocene/Eocene boundary must have been extremely rapid. Females of living c. suave, the type species, have identical （sophisticated） coloration ofpronotum, but the most related living taxa are c. piraiensis and *** from Brazil （supported by phylogenetical analysis）.

While progenitor cell-based cardiomyocyte regeneration holds great promise of repairing an injured heart,primary cardiomyogenic progenitors(cPs)have a limited life span in culture,hampering the use of cPs for in vitro and in vivo *** previously isolated primary cPs from mouse E15.5 fetal heart,and reversibly immortalized them with SV40 large T antigen(SV40 LTA),resulting in immortalized cPs(icPs),which maintain long-term proliferation and ex-press cardiomyogenic markers and retain differentiation potential under appropriate differentiation conditions.
