Visual attention mechanisms allow humans to extract relevant and important information from raw input percepts. Many applications in robotics and computer vision have modeled human visual attention mechanisms using a bottom-up data centric approach. In contrast, recent studies in cognitive science highlight advantages of a top-down approach to the attention mechanisms, especially in applications involving goal-directed search. In this paper, we propose a top-down approach for extracting salient objects/regions of space. The top-down methodology first isolates different objects in an unorganized point cloud, and compares each object for uniqueness. A measure of saliency using the properties of geodesic distance on the object’s surface is defined. Our method works on 3d point cloud data, and identifies salient objects of high curvature and unique silhouette. These being the most unique features of a scene, are robust to clutter, occlusions and view point changes. We provide the details of the proposed method and initial experimental results.

以识别玉米秧苗茎秆为目标,采用云台搭载电荷耦合器件(CCd)相机获得玉米秧苗图像,采用Label Image插件制作了玉米秧苗的标记与标签。基于深度学习框架Tensor Flow搭建了多尺度分层特征的卷积神经网络模型,应用4倍膨胀的单位卷积核,获得了玉米秧苗图像的识别模型,其识别准确率为99.65%。将已知玉米秧苗图像划分为最佳子块,求取了各个子块的最佳二值化阈值。选取6种杂草密度在每天5个时间段进行为期3 d的试验,共采集了10800幅图像。试验结果显示,对玉米秧苗茎秆的平均识别准确率为98.93%,且光照条件与田间杂草密度对识别结果没有显著影响(P>0.05)。

AIM To evaluate the long-term outcome of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation(AF) facilitated by preprocedural threedimensional(3-d) transesophageal *** In 50 patients, 3d transesophageal echocardiography(3d TEE) was performed immediately prior to an ablation procedure(paroxysmal AF: 30 patients, persistent AF: 20 patients). The images were available throughout the ablation procedure. Two different ablation strategies were used. In most of the patients with paroxysmal AF, the cryoablation technique was used(Arctic Front Balloon, Cryo Cath Technologies/Medtronic; group A2). In the other patients, a circumferential pulmonary vein ablation was performed using the CARTO system [Biosense Webster; group A1(paroxysmal AF), group B(persistent AF)]. Success rates and complication rates were analysed at 4-year *** A 3d TEE could be performed successfully in all patients prior to the ablation procedure and all four pulmonaryvein ostia could be evaluated in 84% of patients. The image quality was excellent in the majority of patients and several variations of the pulmonary vein anatomy could be visualized precisely(e.g., common pulmonary vein ostia, accessory pulmonary veins, varying diameter of the left atrial appendage and its distance to the left superior pulmonary vein). All ablation procedures could be performed as planned and almost all pulmonary veins could be isolated successfully. At 48-mo followup, 68.0% of all patients were free from an arrhythmia recurrence(group A1: 72.7%, group A2: 73.7%, group B: 60.0%). There were no major ***3 d TEE provides an excellent overview over the left atrial anatomy prior to AF ablation procedures and these procedures are associated with a favourable long-term outcome.

Sewerage systems are subject to many types of degradation. In France, an estimated 10% of the total systems length requires work due to structural degradation. At present, there is no method to localised rehabilitation of man-entry sewers. Laboratory tests have validated localised methods that involve bonding composite plates to the sewer. Those tests were performed on pre-damaged (multi-cracked) ovoid test pieces. The degradation observed was a longitudinal crack opened at the crown. The tests were performed under vertical loading. Our Study concerns the application of partial lining of sewer with composites plates. The composite strengtheners used were 1.2 mm thick pultruded carbon plates. A series of experiments were carried out on reinforced-concrete ovoids (T180) strengthened and unstrengthened by carbon plates in the keystone. After this test, a vertically-loaded ovoid was subjected to three-dimensional modelling in order to determinate its structural behavior and collapse mechanism. Knowledge of the latter make it possible to limit the areas in need of strengthening. An ovoid strengthened by composite plates adhered to the damaged areas was also modelled. Using real case data, modelling was carried out using a finite-element computational software program. This program allows cracking to be monitored until the structure collapses. Many conventional approaches using intensity factors k and contour integrals J have already been reported in the literature. We used methods for restituting energy G. Because nonlinear elasticity was being calculated, the constitutive laws of the various materials had to be taken into account. These constitutive laws describe the evolution of the materials. Moreover, those laws are subject to deformation limits. The simulated models were homogeneously meshed with physically nonlinear, triangular elements. AIM:To investigate the efficacy and safety of capecitabine plus irinotecan±bevacizumab in advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer patients. METHOdS:Forty six patients with previously untreated,locally-advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) were recruited between 2001-2006 in a prospective open-label phaseⅡtrial,in German community-based outpatient *** received a standard capecitabine plus irinotecan(CAPIRI) or CAPIRI plus bevacizumab(CAPIRI-BEV) regimen every 3 wk. dose reductions were mandatory from the first cycle in cases of>grade 2 *** treatment choice of bevacizumab was at the discretion of the *** endpoints were response and toxicity and secondary endpoints included progression-free survival and overall survival. RESULTS:In the CAPIRI group vs the CAPRI-Bev group there were more female than male patients(47% vs 24%) ,and more patients had colon as the primary tumor site(58.8%vs 48.2%) with fewer patients having sigmoid colon as primary tumor site(5.9%vs 20.7%) .Grade 3/4 toxicity was higher with CAPIRI than CAPIRI-Bev:82%vs 58.6%.Partial response rates were 29.4%and 34.5%,and tumor control rates were 70.6%and 75.9%,*** complete responses were *** median progression-free survival was 11.4 mo and 12.8 mo for CAPIRI and CAPIRI-Bev,*** median overall survival for CAPIRI was 15 mo(458 d) and for CAPIRI-Bev 24 mo(733 d) .These differences were not statistically *** the CAPIRI-Bev,group,two patients underwent a full secondary tumor resection after treatment,whereas in the CAPIRI group no cases underwent this procedure. CONCLUSION:Both regimens were well tolerated and offered effective tumor growth control in this outpatient *** gastrointestinal toxicities and thromboembolic events were rare and if observed were never fatal.
