Ethics of Human Resources Management in the Cameroonian Health System, Medical Nomadism and the Ineffectiveness of the Fight against High Blood Pressure

Context/objectives: The fight against Chronic Non-Communicable diseases (NCds) is a long-term undertaking, which requires available, motivated and well-managed human resources (HR). The administrative management of skills on both qualitative and quantitative levels is one of the essential functions of a health system. To better implement policies of fight against High Blood Pressure (HBP) and other chronic diseases, it is important to establish strategies to retain health personnel. This loyalty requires favorable working conditions and consideration of the contribution-reward couple. Good working conditions are likely to reduce the phenomenon of medical nomadism;conversely, poor HR management can contribute to their exodus towards exotic “green pastures”, thus leading to an additional crisis in the Cameroonian health system. The fight against HBP is a complex, multifaceted and multifactorial reality that requires appropriate management model for all types of resources mainly HR. The main objective of this research is to show the impact of poor management of human resources in Cameroon health system on medical nomadism and the ineffectiveness of the fight against High Blood Pressure. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive survey among five hundred (500) health facilities in the center region of Cameroon has been conducted. A stratified probabilistic technique has been used, and the number of health facilities to be surveyed has been determined using the “sample size estimation table” of depelteau. The physical questionnaires have been printed and then distributed to data collectors. After data collection, the latter were grouped during processing in Excel sheets. The Chi-square test was used for data with a qualitative value and that of Kolmogorov-Sminorf for data with a quantitative value to assess the normality and reliability of data. Context/Objective: High blood pressure (HBP) currently represents the most widespread chronic non-communicable disease in Cameroon. The increase in its prevalence in the country is the result of multiple factors including economic stress imposed by precariousness, poor living conditions, sources of anxiety, anguish, depression and other behavioral disorders. Economic stress is a globalizing concept that integrates into a purely hermeneutic approach, a particular functioning of the nervous system of an individual who faces employment problems and precarious remuneration conditions. The non-satisfaction by an individual of his basic needs due to insufficient financial means can cause him to become irritable, aggressive, and socially and symbolically isolated, thereby increasing the d.sire to resort to morbid life models such as excessive consumption of narcotics and other psychoactive substances often associated with high blood pressure. The fight against the emergence of BPH is a complex, multifaceted and multifactorial reality that requires taking into account economic stress. The main objective of this survey is to describe the situation of economic stress within the Cameroonian population, which imposes precariousness and life models at risk of high blood pressure. Specifically, we determined the level of household income and the sources of income. Methods: A cross-sectional survey with a descriptive aim among five hundred households in the Central Region of Cameroon was conducted. A probabilistic technique called simple randomness was used. The number of households to be surveyed was determined indirectly using the Cochrane formula. data collection in face-to-face mode using a physical questionnaire took place from July 1 to August 31, 2023, after obtaining ethical clearance from the Regional Health Research Ethics Committee, Human from the Center and an administrative authorization for data collection. Ad = 1 position-dependent mass approach to constructing nonlinear quantum states for a modified Coulomb potential is used to generate Gazeau–Klauder coherent states. It appears that their energy eigenvalues are scaled down by the quantum number and the nonlinearity coefficient. We study the basic properties of these states, which are found to be undefined on the whole complex plane, and some details of their revival structure are discussed.

Effects of classical random external field on the dynamics of entanglement in a four-qubit system

We investigate the dynamics of entanglement through negativity and witness operators in a system of four noninteracting qubits driven by a classical phase noisy laser characterized by a classical random external field(CREF).The qubits are initially prepared in the GHZ-type and W-type states and interact with the CREF in two different qubit-field configurations,namely,common environment and independent environments in which the cases of equal and different field phase probabilities are *** find that entanglement exhibits different decaying behavior,depending on the input states of the qubits,the qubit-field coupling configuration,and field phase *** the one hand,we demonstrate that the coupling of the qubits in a common environment is an alternative and more efficient strategy to completely shield the system from the detrimental impacts of the decoherence process induced by a CREF,independent of the input state and the field phase probabilities ***,we show that GHZ-type states have strong dynamics under CREF as compared to W-type *** the other hand,we demonstrate that in the model investigated the system robustness’s can be greatly improved by increasing the number of qubits constituting the system.

Generalized Van der Waals Equation for Liquid-Vapor Equilibria in a Stationary Gravitational Field

The behavior of liquids undergoing phase transition in the gravitational field is studied by considering the generalized Van der Waals equation. Considering the two simple models for liquid-vapor boundary of a pure classical fluid, the generalized Van der Waals equation shows how the three critical parameters (critical temperature, critical volume and critical pressure), suffice to describe the reduced state parameters (reduced temperature, reduced volume and reduced pressure), the concentration profile and the liquid-vapor boundary position, which can be used to observe transition phenomenon. This model shows how the form of the equation can influence the vertical phase separation induced by the stationary gravitational field, and on the gas condensation effects.

Electron Auto-Localization Tailored by Its Thermal Energy: dynamic Matrix Approach (dMA)

This paper investigates the thermal energy effect on electron auto-localization. The polaron characteristics (self-action potential and effective mass) are observed to be expressed via the renormalized electron-phonon coupling constant tailored by the thermal energy. Low temperatures are observed to favour auto-localization of the carrier while high temperatures favour polaron undressing and subsequent quenching of the quantum behaviour thereby rendering the system classical. The critical (transition) temperature τc expressed via the critical coupling constant ϒC is found to be the separating boundary between the quantum and the classical phases. Therefore, the polaron undergoes phase transition (from self-tapped to quasi free states) when the temperature of the medium is enhanced.

We analyzed the effect of colored noise on the negativity dynamics of a hybrid system consisting of a qubit-qutrit and not interacting,prepared from the start in an entangled one-parameter state and acting with noise in local and non-local *** this pink and brown noise we investigated two different situations:in the first situation,the noise is produced by a bistable oscillator with an unknown exchange rate;however,in the second situation,the noise is generated by a set of bistable *** found that entanglement decreases with time to zero,and undergoes the phenomenon of sudden death and *** pink noise is more prone to entanglement than the brown noise and the non-local environment is more prone to entanglement than the local *** the number of fluctuators is increased,entanglement decays faster and finally,for certain parameters of the initial state,the subsystems are not affected by the noise.

Quantum Interferometry for different Energy Landscapes in a Tuneable Josephson Junction Circuit

This paper presents a simple Josephson-junction circuit with two parameters (inductance and capacitance) which can be tuned to represent different energy landscapes with different physical properties. By tuning this quantum circuit through external accessible elements we can move from two to three and more energy levels depending on the parameter setting. The inductance, the capacitance as well as the external voltage (driving terms) condition the number of relevant energy levels as well as the model to be used. We show that the quantized circuit represents a multi-state system with tunneling induced by the Landau-Zener and Landau-Zener-Stückelberg transition. The special cases of single crossing and multi-crossing models are thoroughly studied and the transition probability is obtained in each case. It is proven that, the crossing time as well as the relaxation time affect drastically the transition probability;the system mimics a single passage for short relaxation and a multiple passage problem for large relaxation. The nonlinearity of energy levels modifies the transition probability and the derived adiabatic parameters help to redefine the Landau-Zener probability. The observed constructive and destructive interferences are parametrically conditioned by the initial condition set by the inductive branch. Moreover, the total population transfers as well as the complete blockage of the system are obtained in a permissible range of parameters only by changing the values of the inductance. Therefore, the system models a controllable level-crossing where the additional branches (inductive and capacitive) help in designing the number of states, the type of interferometry as well as the control of states occupation.

Effects of Ginger Meal (Zingiber officinale) Associated to desmodium intortum and/or Stylosanthes guianensis on Growth Performances of Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in Cameroon

Background: The sustainability of animal production system depends mostly on feed management. Therefore, the combination of local leguminous forage as source of protein and ginger as phytobiotics can be one of the safe ways to attain this goal. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of ginger meal associated with ration containing local protein sources desmodium intortum and/or Stylosanthes guianensis on growth performance in rabbits. Method: A total of 64 young rabbits (32 males and 32 females) with an average weight of 1000 ± 200 g were used. There were randomly assigned to 8 experimental diets in a complete randomized designed with 8 rabbits per treatment and each rabbit serving as an experimental unit. From the control diet R0 (basal diet without legumes and phytobiotic) and 7 other diets (treatment): R1(basal diet without legumes + 1% ginger powder), R2 (basal diet + 20% S. guianensis + 1% ginger meal), R3 (basal diet + 20% d. intortum + 1% ginger powder), R4 (basal diet + 20% d. intortum + 0% ginger powder), R5 (basal diet + 20% S. guianensis + 0% ginger powder), R6 (basal diet + 10% d. intortum + 10% S. guianensis + 0% ginger powder) R7 (basal diet + 10% d. intortum + 10% S. guianensis + 1% ginger powder). Feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, carcass yield and average daily consumption were evaluated using standard procedures. Results: Feed intake and feed conversion ratio of animals fed R0 and R7 rations were significantly improved. Animals fed R1 ration had a significantly lower mean value for feed conversion ratio (1.83 g) and feed intake (1.67 g) respectively. Live weight (2432.54 g), total weight gain (1644.90 g), average daily feed intake (109.06 g) and dressed weight (1404.25 g) were significantly higher for rabbits fed R1 ration. Relative weights of organs of animals fed R4 ration were significantly higher. Conclusion: Feeding rabbits with R1 diet significantly improved growth performance.
