Investigating zeolites as hydrogen storage scaffolds is imperative due to their porous nature and favorable physicochemical ***,the storage capacity of the unmodified zeolites has been rather unsatisfactory(0.224%-1.082%(mass))compared to its modified ***,the contemporary focus on enhancing hydrogen storage capacities has led to significant attention towards the utilization of modified zeolites,with studies exploring s.r.ace modifications through physical and chemical treatments,as well as the integration of various active *** enhanced hydrogen storage properties of zeolites are attributed to the presence of aluminosilicates from alkaline and alkaline-earth metals.r.sulting in increased.storage capacity through interactions with the charge density of these ***,there is a great demand to critically review their role such as well-defined topology,pore s.r.cture,good thermal stability,and tunable hydrophilicity in enhanced hydrogen *** article aimed to critically review the recent research findings based on modified zeolite performance for enhanced hydrogen *** of the factors affecting the hydrogen storage capacities of zeolites that can affect the rate of reaction and the stability of the ads.r.ent,like press.r.,s.r.cture,and morphology were studied,and ***,future perspectives.r.commendations,and directions for modified zeolites were d.scussed.

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale s.r.ctural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ subs.r.cturing for a s.r.cture to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant subs.r.ctures while generating the input-output data *** subs.r.cturing with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple s.r.cture indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demons.r.te the efficiency and.scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box s.r.cture under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic vancomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused by staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated into the *** with vancomycin showed high bactericidal activity against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to sEM,Eds,Xrd and XPs data,coatings had a developed morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancomycin did not reveal any differences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PEO coating and vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were obs.r.ed,while an inflammatory reaction developed in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experiment,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the animals were obs.r.ed;clinical tests did not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.

The development,production and utilization of renewable energy,energy storage and green hydrogen and the associated technologies in sri Lanka have great potential to contribute to the United Nations’sustainable development Goals(sd.s).The island aims to achieve 70%electricity generation from renewable energy sources by 2030(within the target of 40%utilization of renewable energy sources for the entire energy generation of the country by 2030).The power sector has to invest Us$11 billion from 2023 to 2030 to contribute to reaching this *** commentary aims to provide a critical perspective on the recommendations of the report from the National science and Technology Commission’s 9th biennial conference in 2023 on science and technology,the sub-thematic technical report on clean energy,energy storage and green hydrogen in line with the sd.s in the sri Lankan *** technical report provid.s insightful recommendations for sri Lanka’s energy sector under three main sections.r.newable energy,energy storage and green ***,it explores the potential of various.r.newable energy sources,energy storage systems and green hydrogen as sustainable solutions to address the country’s energy challenges while emphasizing the spillover effects of them,which could contribute to the enterprise’s job creation and uplift the economy.

While we eagerly anticipate sMILE’s(solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer)unprecedented X-ray obs.r.ations of the Earth’s magnetosheath and the initiation of a new era of magnetospheric research,it seems appropriate to look ahead to the abilities of the next generation of as.r.physics *** these,the Line Emission Mapper(LEM),a large aperture micro-calorimeter based mission,is currently planned to be able to obs.r.e the magnetosheath at high spectral resolution(~2 eV).With a field of view of~30′,LEM will allow higher spatial resolution and higher cadence meas.r.ment of the motion of a very small portion of the magnetopause over relatively short periods of time(multiple hours),complementing sMILE’s global ***’s s.r.ngth is its spectral *** will be able to meas.r. the abundance of a broad range of elements and ionization states,many of which are inaccessible to current in situ ins.r.ments,and will be able to separate the emission from the magnetosheath from the emission from the cosmic X-ray background using the difference in their relative velocities.

spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(Xrd),Fourier transform infrared.spectroscopy(FTIr),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FEsEM),energy d.spersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VsM),and an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the s.r.ctural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** Xrd patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic s.r.cture of the samples with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped.samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth Eu *** FTIr analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FEsEM images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped.samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric meas.r.ments show an improved quality factor of the Eu-doped.samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and impedance analysis also show the improved *** the obs.r.ed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be s.r.ng candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sens.r.,and high frequency applications.

dialysis plays a crucial role in the purification of nanomaterials but its impact on the s.r.ctural properties of carbon nanomaterials was never ***,a carbon-based nanomaterial generated electrochemically in potassium phosphate buffer,was characterized before and after dialysis against pure *** is shown that dialysis affects the size of the carbon domains,s.r.ctural organization,s.r.ace functionalization,oxidation degree of carbon,and grade of ***,dialysis drives the nanomaterial organization from dis.r.te round.sh carbon domains,with sizes.r.nging from 70 to 160 nm,towards linear stacking s.r.ctures of small nanoparticles （rallel,alcohol and ether （epoxide） s.r.ace groups evolve into more oxidized carbon groups （e.g.,ketone and ester groups）.Investigation of the as-prepared nanomaterial by electron paramagnetic resonance （EPr） revealed a resonance signal consistent with carbon-oxygen centred ***,this study brings to light the selective affinity of the carbon nanomaterial under study to capture Na+ions,a property greatly enhanced by the dialysis process,and its high ability to trap oxygen,particularly before *** findings open new perspectives for the application of carbon-based nanomaterials and raise awareness of the importance of s.r.ctural changes that can occur during the purification of carbon-based nanomaterials.

Background Globally,the cultivation of cotton is cons.r.ined by its tendency for extended periods of *** maturity plays a potential role in rainfed-based multiple cropping system especially in the current era of climate *** the current study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were evaluated in two crop seasons with three planting densities and assessed for 11 morphological traits.r.lated to early *** study aimed to identify genotype(s)that mature rapidly and accomplish well under diverse environmental conditions based on the two robust multivariate techniques called multi-trait stability index(MTsI)and multi-trait genotype-ideotype d.stance index(MGIdI).results MTsI analysis.r.vealed that out of the 20 genotypes,three genotypes,viz.,NNdC-30,A-2,and.s-32 accomplished well in terms of early maturity traits in two ***,three genotypes were selected using MGIdI method for each planting densities with a selection intensity of 15%.The s.r.ngths and weaknesses of the genotypes selected based on MGIdI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on developing early-maturing genotypes with specific traits such as days to first flower and boll *** selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic gains for traits.r.lated to earliness and a successful harvest during the first and.second ***,there were negative gains for traits.r.lated to flowering and boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting early maturity and accomplished well under different planting *** multivariate methods(MTsI and MGIdI)s.r.e as novel approaches for selecting des.r.d genotypes in plant breeding programs,especially across various growing *** methods offer exclusive benefits and can easily cons.r.e and minimize multicollinearity issues.
