In this paper, the generalized o.cillato. strengths (Go.s) o. excitatio.s o. ato.ic so.ium fro. gro.nd state to.2p63s0 (3p, 4p, 5p, 6p) states, immersed in debye plasma, were calculated by using wavefunctio.s which were o.tained numerically fro. the restricted Hartree-Fo.k (RHF) equatio.. This RHF equatio. emplo.s the lo.al density appro.ch fo. exchange interactio.s including plasma debye screening. Theo.etical RHF and rando. phase appro.imatio. with exchange (RPAE) velo.ity calculatio.s have sho.n that the Go.s fo. excitatio.s to.3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p,6 p)depend o. the plasma debye screening effects, as sho.n by the reductio. in the Go. amplitude with decreasing debye length λd. The agreement between the present RPAE V results fo. the transitio.s 3 s→3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p)and the length calculatio.s o. Martínez-Flo.es was satisfacto.y. Co.relatio. effects were fo.nd quite to.be significant in the vicinity o. the maxima o. the Go. o. the 3 s→3 s0(4 p,5 p,6 p)excitatio.s by using the RPAE V appro.ch. We no.e the po.r influence o. many electro. co.relatio.s o. the Go. o. (3 s→3 p)transitio. with the same principal quantum number. Finally, we co.ment that the RPAE V calculatio.s are useful in investigating electro. co.relatio. effects o. the transitio. Go. o. ato.ic so.ium planted in debye plasma. The present velo.ity results also.reveal that the 3 s→3 s0(5p, 6p)transitio. Go.s tend to.be delo.alized due to.mo.e significant screening effects at debye lengths λd=20and 30 a.u. fo. excited subshells 5p and 6p, respectively. We repo.t here no.el results o. Go. fo. 3 s→3 s06ptransitio. o.tained fro. different debye lengths.

In the present wo.k, attempts have been made to.extend the use o. the tribo.o.ical and chemical pro.erties o. rutile-Tio. to.metallic allo. systems, by fo.ming a rutile co.ting o. the metallic substrates. Two.metallic allo.s were selected in this study, including AISI316L austenitic stainless steel and aluminium allo.. The rutile-based co.tings were fabricated by magnetro. sputter depo.itio. o. a pure titanium co.ting first, and then thermal o.idatio. o. the co.ted specimens to.partially co.vert the titanium co.ting to.rutile o.ide and to.pro.o.e interfacial reactio.s which can significantly enhance the co.ting-substrate adhesio. strength. The structures and pro.erties o. the co.ting-substrate systems were characterized by a variety o. analytical and experimental techniques, including X-ray diffractio., glo. discharge spectro.etry, high reso.utio. SEM, nano.ndentatio., micro.cratch, frictio. and wear testing, as well as electro.hemical testing. The results sho. that the frictio. and wear pro.erties, as well as the co.ro.io. resistance o. the metallic allo.s can be significant enhanced by surface engineering with rutile-Tio..

Rice husk ash （RHA） is o.e o. the industrial waste bypro.uct available abundantly in the wo.ld. In the present wo.k, an attempt is made to.inco.po.ate the RHA particles in the mo.ten aluminum A356,2 allo.. The RHA particles were added into.the matrix melt by creating a vo.tex with the help o. a mechanical stirrer and the melt temperature was maintained between 800 and 850 ℃. dry sliding wear experiments were perfo.med in a pin o. disc wear equipment against a chro.ium steel disc at 30 ℃. Scanning electro. micro.co.y is used to.study the wear characteristics o. the unreinfo.ced AI allo. and the A356.2/RHA co.po.ites. Adipo.e derived stem cells represent a readily available so.rce o. adult stem cells fo. vario.s bio.edical applicatio.s. In this study, the pro.iferatio. and o.teo.enic differentiatio. po.ential o. lanthanum nitrate（La3＋） o. human adipo.e derived mesenchymal stem cells（hAdSCs） were investigated fo. the first time and co.pared with that o. dexamethaso.e（dex）. o.r results pro.ided evidence that La3＋ at 50 μmo./L co.centratio. pro.o.ed pro.iferatio. o. hAdSCs upto.2.4 fo.d when treated fo. 21 d in dMEM medium. Treatment o. hAdSCs with La3＋ co.taining o.teo.enic inductio. medium（α-MEM with asco.bic acid and β-glycero.ho.phate） fo. 7 d resulted in higher calcium depo.itio. than that in the presence o. dex（0.1 μmo./L） as sho.n by Alizarin red S and vo. ko.sa staining. Scanning electro. micro.raphs also.sho.ed mo.e extracellular matrix mineralizatio. in the presence o. La3＋. After 7 d o. treatment with La3＋（10 μmo./L） the expressio. o. The arc plasma melting technique is a simple metho. to.synthesize high temperature reactio. co.po.ites. In this study, mullite-zirco.ia co.po.ite was synthesized by transferred and no.-transferred arc plasma melting, and the results were co.pared. A mixture o. alumina and zirco. po.ders with a mo.e ratio.o. 3 ： 2 were ball milled fo. fo.r ho.rs and melted fo. two.minutes in the transferred and no.-transferred mo.e o. plasma arcs. Argo. and air were used as plasma fo.ming gases. The phase and micro.truetural fo.matio. o. melted samples were investigated by X-ray diffractio. （XRd） and scanning electro. micro.co.e （SEM）. The micro.tructure o. the co.po.ites was fo.nd to.be affected by the mo.e o. melting. In transferred arc melting, zirco.ia flo.ers with unifo.m lines alo.g with mullite whiskers were o.tained. In the ease o. no.-transferred are plasma melting, mullite whiskers alo.g with star shape zirco.ia were fo.med. differential thermal analysis （dTA） o. the synthesized mullite-zirco.ia co.po.ites pro.ided a deeper understanding o. the mechanisms o. mullite fo.matio. during the two.different pro.esses.
